Great defensive effort by West Ham to block or deflect most shots on goal from Arsenal. I thought the Gunners made a concerted effort to make the extra pass instead of simple crosses but West Ham was ready for them. No defending Manu’s decision on the free kick as her punch was extremely poor. This loss most likely spells the end of Arsenal’s WSL title hopes as Chelsea has not missed a beat since Sam Kerr’s injury. On the bright side Leah looked in fine form in her first league start since her injury. Crisp and accurate passes were the norm.

Jonas is the reason. With such a squad , other managers would have won the league titles several times. Also Arsenal wasn't as hungry as West Ham to win the game. Complacency cost them.

Idk but it seems like Jonas' more direct, physical style has come at the cost of technical quality combination play to break down lower blocks and that may put us at an advantage against bigger teams but we're losing these games that we shouldn't, and the title is likely gone now

It's gone already when we lost to Liverpool and Spurs. In the WSL... lost to non top 3 teams already considered the title is gone. We have only 22 games. Teams like Man City and Chelsea will lose at most one time only to non top 3 teams and an away game. Most of the time, they win both leg and capable to lose to top 3 contenders in an away game. That is the criteria to win the WSL. Arsenal already lost 2 games at home to bottom teams. And still have to play Man City and Chelsea in an away game with 6 pts behind. If somebody still think we have 1% chance to win the title... then go and smoke something to make his mind right.

After being 2 - 1 down, Jonas should have advised the team to be more composed in the opponent final 3rd. We were rushing and making wrong decisions cos the 1st half we threw away the tie

As a fan this type of performance was predictable..this team has some of the most most selfish players ever… No discipline…. Bring back MaNnum and Blackstenius on the starting line and bench Russo and Mediema

it's funny cause Arsenal performed far better with Blackstenius on the pitch, despite Russo and Miedema are better players Blackstenius gives just what Arsenal needs from a striker, with runnings into spaces, runnings to create spaces for Maanum or the wingers, despite she's not that clinical in finishes as Kerr, Pajor or Hegerberg Miedema just works poor defensively as offensive midfielder and as double striker with Russo, they both create congestion under/inside the penalty box, Russo can't move as ideal for her, and Miedema just needs so much the ball to create danger, she needs to be protagonist and the game around her it's just better with Maanum coming from behind between lines and finishing plays, attacking spaces and the intervale center back-fullback till the goal line, just like KDB makes so much to pass/cross into penalty zone

City is now top of the table. City made Chelsea look like crap when they played them at the start of the season. Chelsea escaped that with a draw, after the officials basically gave them the win by giving City 2 reds! Even with 9 players they couldn't beat City. That said, people not giving City their due, Kelly, Hemp and Shaw are world class! We shall see how it goes, but the race is between City and Chelsea.

@@victoriabolanle8388 right now it seems they're more a threat than Arsenal xDD City didn't got that puch of not qualifying to UWCL being semifinalists last season, Arsenal did, Arsenal was supposed to compete the league since they wouldn't be at UWCL and they're not competing. City settled the expectations jut to qualify for UWCL as 2nd or 3rd, they don't have the expectations pressure like Arsenal has to win the league this season.

I already told this early in the season. We won't win WSL with this manager. Our attacking is so clueless in front of goal. So many attacks but not clinical just like the men team. How many time we dominate the game and many shots of target because we depend on individual skills rather on teamwork attack. Remember how we lost to Spurs, Liverpool and now West Ham. So many shots and gone wild. And keeping Zinsberger as our main GK just a mistake. Now no WSL. No Champions League. Another wasted season by Jonas. And our defenders... OMG. This season we conceded so many goals from a set piece. I do enjoy possession and domination game, but we need finishing. Based the numbers of shots on goal, we should easily score 3-4 goals every game. But we couldn't. Most teams need just a few attacks and they scored. Imagine we had 33 shots against Spurs last 2 month and still cannot score a single goal. And Spurs just attack less than 5 times, and they scored a goal and almost scored another 2 in the last 10 minutes. Under Jonas... First time record broken .... we lost to Spurs. Lost to Aston Villa and West Ham at home. Many will come in the remaining of the season. After he renewed Zinsberger's contract, I knew he is not the manager for Arsenal. There are so many talented and quick GK in Europe and Africa and he stick to Zinsberger. OMG... And many claim we lost because the GK was good. NOOOO... We aways make the opponent GK looks so good because of our horrible shots on goal. How bad is Arsenal this season???? Average opponent attack/shot on goal = 5 shots conceded one goal. And mostly came from set pieces. How about forwards? Average 12 shots on goal and just scored one goal. Lastly, the 2nd goal. Why Zinsberger has to hit the ball out when she could easily catch that cross because no opponent player was around her to press her??? So... nothing else to watch this Arsenal team except just for the cup games. Hope we can win any of the 2 cups competition still available. OMG... FA Cup against Man City next round... Can we win?

Just like the men....mentally weak. They can play anyone off the park with the passing and possesion but when it really matters they bottle it against teams they really should beat. You can probably loose 1 or maybe 2 to either Chelsea or City and then after that any other defeats means your praying that Chelsea slip up all season and hoping for a miracle. Chelsea women are dominant because they hold their nerve and just get the job done no matter what. For all the Arsenal talent in that team and they still way off in terms of winning killer instinct mentality
