I just couldn't afford the dyson air wrap and there are so many tutorials and reviews of the revlon brush that are ALL positive only. I got that brush about 4 weeks ago and I am in love. My hair isn't as heavy and frizzy anymore as it was when I only used a blow dryer and a normal brush. Thank you for that amazing tutorial 💜

You can definitely tell the difference - Revlon adds more volume! Also, it has bristles on both sides versus the Dyson which has bristles only on one side. I've had the Revlon one for 2 months now and it's a game changer! I actually look forward to washing my hair ever since I got it - first world problem, I know! A tip for the roots, use the "low" setting and just comb the roots first.

@@Jade-cy5wm Hi Ruby! I have never experienced any burning, although the tool can get quite hot. I only use it on the low setting because it gets the job done with less heat to my hair. I usually like to let my hair air dry about 75-80% before I use it and then I let the blow-dried hair sit for a bit (do my skin care and/or makeup) before running through the dried hair using low setting once again for styling (i.e. curling the ends). I think practice makes perfect to be honest and obviously, different hair types will have different results.

@@bipashadey-patel2582 Thank you so much! I think that is the key. I am not letting my hair dry enough before using it and thus using too much heat. I never used the low setting always the high. Thanks for the tips this helps so much! Also thank you for replying so quickly!

I’ve had the revlon tool for about 6 months now and needs to be replaced soon because all the bristles have started melting and breaking off. It does work well but the dyson is better quality. You could replace the unit and not be overly upset because it’s way cheaper. I don’t see this happening with the dyson attachments they’re really well made

Revlon one definitely have visibly more volume and shine compared to the Dyson one. I've very long, straight and silky hair. I use only the most basic Phillips dryer in the cool setting only to set my hair. Please recommend a product that adds volume to hair because my hair sits flat all the time

I have frizzy, curly, thick hair, and the Revlon One Step does make blow drying my hair a lot easier (but not quicker). I will say this to all those with hair like mine: since the air is coming from all directions, it makes those frizzy halo hairs harder to control, as they tend to blow every which way. Thanks for the comparison video! Cannot wait for the ghee video! Your hair is so beautiful at this length!!

Straight away i can see the difference in the way you used both the devices. Revlon was put underneath you hair while brushing/using which would obviously increase the volume. But when using Dyson you have used it above the hair (which would kinda suppress the hairs down and would make it look flat, if that makes any sense). Just my thought. Kathleen lights demonstrated using the devices in the same direction.

Hello Arshia and friends! To get to my roots, I find that it helps if I blow dry in every direction, taking a section of hair and wrapping the roots under the brush as I pull toward the ends, then over (against the direction in which the hair will rest) and repeating the wrapping over and under toward my forehead, then my crown. It gives me crazy volume when I use it like that, even with my fine hair. I also get better results (shinier and sleeker) if I let my hair air-dry somewhat before using the styler, and use the low setting rather than the hotter one. I am in love with this thing!

I have the revlon one step too and it has been such a game changer!! Literally has cut my styling time in half. I cut my hair short recently and it works great on short hair too. Adds so much body and volume!

I’ve been using this for a couple of months and yes, brushing my roots has been a challenge. They are curvy while the rest of the hair gets straight ... can deal with it for everyday wear.

The revlon side had more volume, but the glaring problem is that you used the straightening brush for the Dyson and not the round roller which would have been a better comparison. Can you try it again?

Had the Revlon. It looks good at first but doesn’t hold AT ALL. Within an hour or two my hair is curling and looks like shit. Really hoping the Dyson will be better! Just bought mine and waiting for it to arrive.

to dry your roots with the Revlon, toss your hair to the opposite side of your part and you'll be able to dry it.

Aren't they basically hot air stylers, i.e. hair dryers with bristle attachments?? If so, you can get them for £20.

Why didn’t you use the round brush head from dyson? I’m sorry but how can you compare the two of them if 1 you don’t use the same kind of head and 2 if you don’t even use the same drying technic for the two sides?

I retain water...if my roots isn’t dry my hair will get frizzy...how do you get to the roots with either..??

Oh and to get to the root with the Revlon you kind of have to overdirect it the opposite direction, that’ll give you some root lift

1. Revlon has bristle brush and hard brush tooth. Dyson has only hard tooth. Big diff if ppl dont want bristle brush on their hair. That's my issue is finding the right hard tooth brush. I agree get both they do diff things. Use one to blow dry straight get roots. Go in volumize with Revlon.

Seriously? The Revlon is fucking incredible. I use it every time I wash my hair and I'm IN LOVE with it. The bristles really give you that blow-out look.

You should review the Revlon hairdryer brush that is the exact same type of brush as the Dryson! The Revlon round brush is mainly used for volume!

After a total of 6 uses of my revlon dryer on a span of 3 months; the motor burnt out on me! Super upset, that no one else mentioned it prior. It’s a great blow dryer if it only lasted... 😞

I love the Revlon. I used to use a huge round brush and hair dryer to blow out my hair. Now I just use the Revlon. LOVE IT!! And so much cheaper. It takes half the time for me now. :)

The dyson is better ! It has a comparable styler attachment, similar to the Revlon one , but you didn’t use it? If you used the volumizer brush attachment, the dyson would’ve won hands down!

Thanks for the video! I am really interested in getting the Airwrap especially for the straightening brushes.However, I’m confused as to which set to get as I have thick,straight hair but I like volume.The firming brush seems to flatten out the hair compared to the soft brush.But not sure if the soft brush would be enough to straighten out thick straight hair.Any advice?

I think you chosed wrong attachment to compare with revlon...you should have compared with the round brush from airwrap.

I think perhaps you may have gotten more volume from the Revlon as you were consistently brushing from underneath where as the Dyson you were brushing a lot from on top which gives a sleeker more flat look. When you go from underneath you push the follicles up and give your hair that extra lift. Would be interested to see if there’s a difference if you tried the Dyson from underneath exclusively as well. :) loves the vid though! Xx

Both tools are great, for different things. The dyson just doesn’t compare girl... because the attachments are so so awesome!!! And all those rude comments saying the revlon has “soo much more volume”... is not true. You can’t even tell a difference on camera. 🤭🤭😂

I kind of prefer the babyliss big hair , and the other version of it is from con air , this one I find it being too bulky especially when you have a problematic arm like me ;( but they look good and im surely wanting the dyson one some day ;) xx

I bought the Revlon one for $15 at a liquidator this week. Its soooo easy. It's awesome to quickly dry your hair and go. If your in the Los angeles area go to Bulldog Liquidator in Chatsworth. The box said $35 but when I got to the register it was $15.

The revlon side is "bigger" because it literally has more hair as you didn't part your hair in the middle

The Dyson side was styled from the top of the hair which won't lift the hair. The other side was underbrushed.
