Art Donvavan was a man's man. They don't get any better than him. World War 2 veteran, NFL Hall of Famer, business man. And the best guy from the original NFL to interview, ever.

I wasn't born until 1965, so I never got to see him play. I did, however, watch many an interview with Art. I was blessed to have seen them. Art was the real deal. I will, hopefully, never forget him.

I have looked at many of his appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman. He was a great story teller and a great man.

Art came to an Alumni Dinner of steak and Lobster. He said "Take that back and bring me a dozen hot dogs. He ate them all.
