Fun Fact: When Dave, Oprah, and Jay taped their Super Bowl ad in March 2010, Dave wore Art’s Colts’ jersey number, 70.

Very cool! Man, I wish we could get some behind the scenes info from Dave on that commercial shooting. Did he and Jay speak much? Did they hate each other at that point?
@dongiller
@dongiller Жыл бұрын
@@videogameobsession I hear there’s a KZfaq video where Dave and Oprah separately discuss the shoot on their respective shows. Jay’s take was also initially included, but NBCU decided to block it, so a new cut was uploaded without Jay’s clip. What I heard, anyway.

Attended a couple wedding receptions at Art’s country club and he would tend bar and tell stories from his playing days. Felt bad for the wedding couple since all the guys spent the event hanging at the bar listening to Art. RIP Art Donovan, Pro Football Hall of Fame 1968

I know why he said his entire career was with the Colts but his career was with these teams Baltimore Colts (1950) New York Yanks (1951) Dallas Texans (1952) Baltimore Colts (1953-1961) The first teams folded and its players became most Yanks, The Yanks then moved to Dallas and when they folded many of the players moved to Baltimore to become the new Colts that now play in Indianapolis where Letterman is from. Art was actually drafted by the New York Giants in 1947,

And now today, people whine that the NFL is too soft compared to 1983, whereas back then 1983 players were soft for 1950s players. Things never change.
