Today I am starting the first video in a series that will show how to use the new Art Impression Watercolor Journal dies and stamps along with other holiday stamps to create a Christmas journal. Instead of watercolor, I will use Copic markers to show another way to color the stamps and make the pages.
In this video, I will show you the dies and stamps I plan to use, create the journal base and make the journal cover.

Excellent video on the construction of the book. I just purchased the dies and wanted to see some ideas on using them. Your video was the first one I watched. Not only did you do an excellent job showing the construction of the book, you gave a nice Copic coloring tutorial. So a bonus for me. My watercolor skills are more simple and mainly used in art journaling to make simple shapes. I love your simpler version of the snowman with the Copic markers. That is more doable for me.

I subscribed to follow your journal creation. I’m making the watercolor version. I love the vibrant Copic look but the markers are (to me) pricey and intimidating. I do enjoy AI watercolor techniques so I’m mastering projects after just under a year of being a Bonnie and Kendra student. Maybe Copics someday? I did make my cover card stock with pattern paper lining (very substantial) but love knowing how nicely double sided paper works as well. I appreciate your tips and product suggestions. Your instruction is very clear and well done! Thanks!

I completely understand on your coloring preference. Copics are expensive. I gradually added to my collection during sales and I still buy one once in a while but I don’t have every one and I don’t feel the need to. I’m following along with Bonnie’s tutorials too. I’m trying to learn watercolor as I love the look of it. She and Kendra are amazing! Thanks for subscribing. Looking forward to your future visits. ❤️

So upon watching this video, if you use the journal die using just one cover cut, you can add 3 pages only, is that correct? Also, just a tip if you haven't already heard. I use say a letter sized envelope and glue it onto the inside back cover of the paper pad towards the bottom to hold scraps of paper from the collection, that way they are not falling out. tfs gina

Actually, you get 6 pages in it -3 on each side. I showed that if you want to go back and review. So in total, there’s 15 total pages areas to decorate. There’s 12 page sides (6 pages x 2) plus the inside front and back covers plus an area in the middle of the book. Hope that helps.
