In Partnership with the St. Johns County School District and the St. Augustine Art Association, St. Johns County Public Works Unveils Student Artwork.
The previously empty entryway of the St. Johns County Public Works building is now a vibrant place full of original artwork. With the help of students from the St. Johns County School District, five original pieces were crafted for the building. Each focus on a different division: Engineering, Fleet Maintenance, Road and Bridge, Solid Waste Management, and Transportation Operations.
Students were guided by art teachers Kathryn Frericks and Heather Saalfeld Nagy, in addition to St. Augustine Art Association Members Deborah Lightfield and Catherine St. Jean who worked to curate the pieces.
