it's the same mounting as the EFNOTE 5, and is simpler because it doesn't have a height adjustment. Just needs to have the kick pedal totally centered on the mounting plate. To test this, when you do your last turn of your pedal's wing nut, if it is centered, the base of the pedal will not tilt at all to the left or right, but will be solid on the floor.

What confuses me. I have a Roland RDH-120 on my Efnote, which I bought in a bundle with the Efnote 5 from the dealer. So that should work in conjunction with the Efnote, right? Unfortunately, I still can't get the trigger to work. Could you please explain step by step how to set this up with a "normal" pedal? Thaaaanks!

Can I increase the velocity of the aftertouch signal for the choke via MIDI somehow (on an Efnote 3X)? The default aftertouch velocity is at 48, rather than 127. This is what causes the cymbal choke to fail with Superior Drummer 2. Superior Drummer 3 can lower the choke threshold, but it only works for ride and crash, not if I put a splash or china on the edges of those same cymbals.

Efnote 5 user here! After connecting via Bluetooth the app still doesn’t recognise the module, also when refreshing, any ideas how to solve this?
@ArtesiaProNorthAmerica
@ArtesiaProNorthAmerica 3 ай бұрын
After pressing "Connect" on the app, look at the module screen and there should be a confirmation pop up, then press "Ok" on the module. You should be good to go after that. This is shown at the end of this video as well.

Anyone know?-On the 5X (with a full- sized high-hat stand) should the HHCTRL cable be used, or the wire marked just HH?
@ArtesiaProNorthAmerica
@ArtesiaProNorthAmerica 3 ай бұрын
That cable is marked for when using the HC3 remote controller, and is not needed with the H14.

Is there any way to record aux in or bluetooth with efnote 5 and drumming together or will this be available in a update. Is recording audio in or bluetooth and drums together available on efnote pro?

Hello, Matthew. Yes, All of our kits are capable of running Aux Audio in and back out of the module. Did this answer your question?

@@ArtesiaProNorthAmerica no see I want to record aux/bluetooth with efnote 5 drum playing together. Record directly into the module
@ArtesiaProNorthAmerica
@ArtesiaProNorthAmerica 9 ай бұрын
@@matthewmore6893 Understood. When a module "records" itself, it's really sequencing Midi accurately, but not recording audio. It plays back the exact midi sequence it records, including all midi data, dynamics etc. There are plenty of great ways to record incoming audio and the kit though, but there is no internal audio recorder in the module. But, you can run both bluetooth Audio and Bluetooth MIDI. into the module out to another source.

7. set input assignment for Channels with multiple input options : What a "commercial" formulation of a bad design, which prevents the user to use a crash1 cup when he uses the Tom4, and some other limits on other cymbals, it may not be a big deal, but it feels really cheap for the price we are expected to pay. or
@ArtesiaProNorthAmerica
@ArtesiaProNorthAmerica 8 ай бұрын
Hi Tom Sawyer, this is an industry standard use of "aux" channels and TOM4/Crash 1 Cup, as well as Crash 3/Crash 2 Cup options are standard Trigger input option settings. The options on the 3, 5 and 7 lines gave so much bang for buck, our largest competitor was forced to drop their prices to ours, on all six of our kits. That was by our design... When our 3, 5 and 7 lines are fully expanded to 11 inputs, all three crashes become two zone and the ride and hats remain 3 zone. Every product has limits, it's about getting the most out of what price point you're working in. No one else has 8 CH USB Audio over 16CH USB Audio simultaneously on a entry level kit, for instance. The PRO line allows much more expansion, without zone compromise.

@@ArtesiaProNorthAmerica : ok, the cups don't seem trigger consistently anyway, maybe I did not get the calibation right, so maybe it is better to add a single cup with Splash Cymbal 8" to have a consistent cup if needed.
@ArtesiaProNorthAmerica
@ArtesiaProNorthAmerica 7 ай бұрын
@@tomsawyer2112 Our 8" Splash, 18". China and 17" FX cymbals are all 2 zone. All crashes, rides and Hi Hat have cup zones with the PRO and are the best trigger response on the market. Five 3-zone cymbals and two 2-zone FX/China/Splash cymbals, and a 4 zone hi hat.

@@ArtesiaProNorthAmerica - currently the cups of my 3 Efnote3X cymbals trigger in 20 to 80% the wrong sound, the bow sound, the wrong midi signal, the A instead of the C in the module. Maybe I do something wrong, The cymbals do not slide gently over the sleeve as shown. Like they do not fit 100%... How tight the cymbals need to be fixed on top, looks like they are pretty tight ? very annoying and disappointing.
@ArtesiaProNorthAmerica
@ArtesiaProNorthAmerica 7 ай бұрын
@@tomsawyer2112 The cymbals need to have the sleeve come up through the middle, about an eighth of an inch, so that the cymbal lies flat on the plate. turn the cymbal slightly and work it down on the plate like in the video.As far as your triggering accuracy, please send a short video with both audio/visual example, showing your hits as well. Make note of the cymbal playing stick angles in this video as well. You can send the video to mikeb@artesia-pro.com

It sounds like you may have an older firmware. To check this, turn on your module and press Menu > Settings > Info. You Version should be 1.2 . If it is not, you will need to update your firmware. If youi need help updating, email efnotehelp@artesia-pro.com

Why is felt such an issue?
@ArtesiaProNorthAmerica
@ArtesiaProNorthAmerica 8 ай бұрын
Because at the micro level, felt is a coarse fiber and mesh is woven. The coarse felt tears and un-weaves the woven mesh. To exaggerate it, think sandpaper to a ballon.
