Jaina's Sees Arthas Visions Cinematic. In the Kul Tiras Finale, Katherine Proudmoore rescues Jaina from Thros, the Blighted Lands. While in the nightmare, we see visions of Arthas, Daelin, Varian and everything that has tormented her thus far.

What I think would make an interesting twist is if in the Shadowland's someone's trying to redeem and/or revive Arthas and he's trying to stay in suffering because he honestly does not believe he deserves it only the Arthas from before Frostmourne, maybe even from before Stratholme, is dominant. So someone like Jaina, for instance, could be struggling with the choice and we're just trying to keep the Arthas from after those two events, maybe he got split from the rest when he took up that blade, like what was left of the Arthas Jaina knew got removed from his own body and someone else was stuffed back in or something, from coming back.

@@petersander5802 I'mma be real, there's no coming back for Arthas. He's beyond redemption and he himself made sure of it according to one of the novels where he literally kills the last bit of his humanity and rips his own heart out. On top of this when he finally died Uther threw him into the Maw without hesitation. He's been in the Maw for roughly a decade, by that time his spirit was probably utterly and completely broken down by Zovaal.

Depends on the side you play. As a Horde player I feel left out. Sylvanas doing unreasonable things as allways without any explanation given. Why did she get that latern from Hellya again and what was her bargain? Baine is doing nothing at all completly ignoring what his warchief just did, except oh wait he did not agree with her leaving Saurfang behind - thats all he seemingly cares about. Saurfang has an ark that´s probably for later where he will Voljin 2.0 our Garrosh 2.0 But yeah the Alliance stuff is awesome, I 100% agree.

My guess for the Thrall part is that it was cut like the Sylvanas part from Legion. But my hopes are high for either a satisfying Thrall or Saurfang storyline in 8.1 and later.

MassDebation People were infected and those who weren't would have been eaten by the undead, Arthas didn't have no other choice and he saved them from being Lich kings slaves. Uther, Jaina and everyone else who think he was wrong for doing it should piss off.

@Roko Markov They were already dead the moment they consumed the plagued crops. The culling was about a clean death first and foremost, and to avoid a foothold give-away to the Scourge.

Also for those waiting, I'll try to have the remaining Zandalar Cinematics up later today. Just waiting on them to be finished and sent. But... he didnt Waywardpaladin... Was it not mentioned that Arthas pretty much destroyed the part of the Lich King that was Ner'zhul's? Arthas removed his own heart to ensure his own absolute commitment to the job. I'd say, if anything, the only moment he showed any moment of "weakness" was when he was dying, asking his father if it was over.

@@ffadhel1 Well, almost all of it was out of his hands. He was tricked into selling most of his soul, and even the little bit that was left managed to slow him down. Throughout his entire campaign up to becoming the Lich King, he was fighting back though failing.

One thing I really liked here: during all of those visions, not once did she REGRET where her heart was in these decisions. She knew Arthas was wrong, she knew her father was wrong. I didn't hear her voice crying out to join Arthas, or join her father in the slaughter. It was strictly regret on having "not tried hard enough." This brought me to tears. Please come back, Jaina

This is making me cry. Honestly since from the start, Jaina Proudmoore was my favorite and one of my memorable characters in WC3 and WOW. She's been in many important events, The Reign of Chaos, The Frozen Throne, The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, and more. (Also I don't have a crush on her, I just like her as a family kind of thing.)

I love this line because not only is it a piece of Daelins famous line about the Horde before his death but in this context its used as Jaina's line of thinking, she feels guilty about all the deaths to those that are close to her and her trying to bury that.

Serious kudos and props to the animators who worked on this cinematic. (Especially on Katherine). Little things like the eye movements, which are so subtle, really make this feel so lifelike. I’ve watched this a dozen times, and I STILL tear up when she tells Jaina to forgive herself and the “Come topside, sweetheart!” callback. Brilliantly executed.

Not even close there buddy, compared to the lore and story of Sylvanas, Jainas is pretty tame and not very exciting. You basing it off only BFA is kinda silly, and I don't even like how Sylvanas is handling things right now, and really like Jaina, but I sure as hell won't state a false claim like that!

All of the books, all of the games, all of the expansions.... Jaina is by far a more interesting character with complex struggles, and a better person. Of course, at the end of the day, this is all subjective opinion. :::SPOILER:::: But even at the end of this latest book it was clearly stated by one of our currently most lawful-good characters that sylvannas is far beyond redemption.

The amount of call backs I get is astounding. All the campaings of Warcraft III, the memories, the emotions, that expirience is still one of the best, and the stories is still ole of the best I have ever had.

That's the overall point I think. Jaina and Sylvanas are a great comparison/contraction kinda thing. Both suffer such trauma. One never overcomes it and falls to her hatred and becomes "evil" and the other is looking to overcome it. She'll never be the peace-loving focused girl like before, but she's looking to finally overcome it.

Debatable... but the point remains that it's been hard on both and they are a compare/contrast relationship in the story.

Maybe if you haven't played wc3. Sylvanas is a banshee, a spirit full of hatred and vengeance, killed and raised into undead. She suffered both physically and emotionally; this is a radically different suffering from jaina, who suffered mostly emotionally. if you listen to all of sylvanas voice lines in wc3, she views herself as a monstrosity, a curse, incapable of having joy. sure you can compare/contrast certain aspects of their character, i'm just saying their actual experiences and sufferings are radically different. It is much more difficult for Sylvanas to find "peace" within herself like Jaina has here.

That's true. There is a little moment in the Graphic Story "Windrunner", where Vereesa apologizes to her sister Sylvanas. And it seems to affect her a little. But it's not exactly the same like this scene with the Proudmoores. While Jaina and her mother are allying, Sylvanas and her two sisters are on different sides. Or at least Alleria is against her. It's complicated...

Jaina's story as told through the "reunion" comic, the Warbringers video, and the in-game cutscenes packs an emotional wallop. It's some of blizz's best work.... so many feels...

I hated that Arthas just evaporated into nothingness. He had been deceived by the jailer.... why is it that he is erased from existence but Sylvanas gets a "redo?" And Sylvanas admitted that she was not controlled!!! Makes me so mad! I love Arthas!

I love the scene at 1:50, seing the men who she lost. On the right side we have Arthas and Daelin. From both she turned away and she gives herself the responsibility for what happened to them. Arthas, her first boyfriend, who fell to evil after she left him. And Daelin, her father, who died, because she couldn't stop him. On the left we have Rhonin and Varian. For her, both are victims of the actions of the Horde. Rhonin, her mentor and one of her closest friends, who died in the bombing of Theramore, proteting her. Varian, also one of her closest friends, who died on the Broken Shore, during the Legion trap, after the Horde abandoned the Alliance, to save themselves. Then we have the most interesting dead character in the scene and no, not the gnome(I actually don't know who that is, if someone does, please tell me), it's Jaina Proudmoore herself. Her old self, the one who sought peace, in her old armor she wore during the Ulduar cinematic(or rather the HOTS version of it). Thats also why she stands before that figure, because that Jaina died with Rhonin and Varian, the Jaina who she thinks was responsible for the fate of Daelin and Arthas. Directly showing that she isn't the naive women she was before, she has grown to a different woman who thinks that peace is a dream, aka the Jaina of the BFA Cinematic.

Ah the apprentice. Also the person standing directly behind Jaina is Jaina, not Uther. It's not Uthers Armor, neither from wow, wc3 or hots. I first thought it too, but the Armor didn't match, but it matched Jaina's armor in the Ulduar Cinematic/Hots. Also I think Jaina and Uther had no relationship to each other than he was Arthas'es Paladin Mentor and friend.

I am Horde, and I will say this. I hope Jaina deserve a happy ending where she lives a great life. She deserves this. She deserves that at least. I am so glad she is making peace with her self.. I might level up an alliance character just to play the alliance side of that.

Yeah man.........And to weave together a storyline dating all the way back to war3 is brilliant, thankfully making Jaina such a full character, if that describes it well enough. But Arthas....... Idk, I love the guy, all of his choices as a human were ones I'd probably take as well.

At 1:53 you can see Rhonin, Varian, Arthas, Daelin, Uther and Kinndy Brightspark, all behind Jaina. The "I accept your judgement" line cuts deep here, it seems like she blames herself for all those deaths.

God, this breaks my heart, every time. Katherine watches her daughter, knowing that she has been forced to replay the worst moments of her life over and over. She sees that the crime her people committed her of was one that she never did in the first place, and then she sees herself. In a collage of the worst and most heartbreaking moments of her daughter's life, she sees herself wrongfully condemning her daughter to death and disowning her. I start tearing up every time Katherine has that 'Oh no' moment.
