Here from November of 1902 is "Under The Bamboo Tree", composed by Bob Cole, and featured here on an original Edison two Minute Gold Moulded Cylinder from the same year, being sung by one of the most popular and prolific Comic Baritones of his day, Mr. Arthur Collins. The Phonograph is an Edison Amberola 1A in Mission Oak, and it dates to the early part of 1910. The Cabinet was made by the Herzog Art Cabinet Co. of Saginaw Michigan. The Amberola 1A was the only Amberola Model which was capable of playing both 2 minute and 4 minute cylinders by use of the special "M" Reproducer. Note that on the Amberola 1A the Mandrel and record actually travel beneath the reproducer and stylus. This was patented feature that was done to avoid patent infringements with other Companies at the time.
