You can check if you missed the drop/bugged drop by checking the transmog vendor. If the artifact is available to you as a transmog and you don't have it, then you're pretty much SoL until Ags fixes it.

Sometimes bags that have dropped on that boss clip into the rock face and also the base of the tree stump thingy further down the hill. I had a bag drop over head height down near the beach in the new zone yesterday, after killing one of those drake bosses, had to leave it. I tried every trick in the book to get the loot. I ended up jumping off some rocks at it, with my inventory open, and print screened the loot (shows up for a split second, on the far right in the disgard section, if in proximity) hahaha

I had a week off work to play the new expansion and 6 of them days I spent in the cave farming the scorpion spear! Most of my company got the drop first few tries but the rest are still farming it. It’s pathetic that they made the spawn so low on a artifact boss.

Imagine someone a month from now artifact farming and having to solo any of the elites. Yikes, or getting only a couple opportunities during a chest run or something

You are 100% spot on about someone coming to the game in a month, when the vast majority of people who had it EASY getting artifacts already farmed it and aren't doing it.

I've been farming this Finisher for 30hours+, still didn't get it Sooo i think i missed the bag ...

I happen to love rng to a point. Odo second try, finisher 5th try, featherweight about an hour, 4 hours to get the synthetic bow, the bow was frustrating but honestly there is so little to no grind in this expansion I don't see it as an issue outside of when farming numbers drop and you have to find groups to help you later on for new players.

Ok so the only problem I have with drop chance is in mutators, the fact that you could do all 35 runs a week and not get the drop and have to wait until the next full rotation just to get the drop is bad, I'm 24 runs into starstone and still no ring drop

Afaik you can check your transmog to know if an aritfact already dropped for you.

yea dude my luck was flipping crazy i got 3 artifacts the first 2 days seemingly walking in and bam then the last 2 off of the 2 dungeons , now the rest have been grind after grind my luck seemingly ran out lol

I almost missed my finisher because I died during the trio fight because I was greedily skinning the big first one that drops finisher. Lucky I respawned, ran back across the bridge, back to the spawn and my bag was still there. Also I'm of the opinion you should be able to farm more than one as some of them I want to have different builds with a different thirds perk (ex. Lifetaker with putrefying scream for some pvp/nature mutation but refreshing rupture otherwise and Tumbler boots with shirking heals for pvp but a weapon skill for pve) and as it stands today that is not possible. Having the option to get them more than once but having no monetary benefit will keep people farming them basically forever also. That said Tumbler shoes the way you get them makes that impossible currently.

i mean its an end game item i do admit its kinda tilting to farm them but !!! ALL IN ALL !! if we really think about how many player here have 6+ artifact in only one week ? we talking bout END GAME build defining gear here ! I bet a lot do! One week to get this amount of bis or near to bis item over all ! this extansion is rly generous on that ! Dont worry too much bout the missing bag and i pray u get what u wish

I‘ve gotten all of the current artifacts you can farm in the open world, some easier than others, but I will say overall it is not an enjoyable experience. As a more hardcore player I‘m definitely a lot more patient than the average returning player and I can see a lot of people not wanting to go through a mindnumbing farm just to get to the fun part. Artifacts shouldn‘t be super easy to get, but locking them behind a specific boss with longer respawn times basically gets people back into the original watermark farming gameplay loop of killing a certain boss over and over again. And nobody can tell me that this is exciting gameplay.

I have no evidence except anecdotal, but with loot bias being as strong as it is (drops heavily favor things you're wearing), I farmed all the artifacts using the same weapon I was farming for (eg. rapier for finisher) and I would say I was pretty lucky. Your luck may vary.

What I don't like is Artifacts being locked behind content I don't want to play, case in point PVP. Serenity and Pestilence are a few.

Tbf theyre easy i got odo on 11 kill with 0 luck gear ) and have gotten all other pvp artifacts exception of ankh (((( Also i do belive they confirmed that bow and ig artifact are next on the menu down the line, hopefully sooner than later. Also bonus tip use the weapon type ur farming (helps alot)

I honestly think the system is fine, considering the bosses are all in very active ecr routes its not hard to get a few people to help out. I do sometimes help other because there is always a possibility for these mobs to drop good items aside from artifacts. Even the portal crates are good now surprisingly

This artifacts should be very very difficult to get ,I am farming 4 days In a roll and I know is really frustrating ,but I also know that is how should be . I played classic mmos and I know this is normal. But this could be only me ,😂

It could go either way. I got lucky with a lot of my artifacts but I did 160+ portals to get abyss that’s is just unnecessary. When I got it I didn’t have extra excitement because it took so long. It’s just a dope weapon to use with FS. And using it will keep me playing the game. Acquiring the artifact through some mundane task like farming a boss where you mindlessly click a few auto attacks wait 4-6 mins click again that isn’t gameplay. There definitely needs to be a pity system. If not now then for sure after a month or so once the number of people farming the bosses is just a handful of new players. They honestly should’ve made upgrading the artifacts a long grind. Maybe a quest line have some solo instance boss fights. Stuff like that to prolong people playing and not just RNG.

I disagree. RNG is fine. And I don’t think there should be a pity system. It’s fine it’s rare because it actually makes it cool when you get it. I did over 100 portals to get abyss and when it finally dropped I was ecstatic. If I got it after 20 runs it would just be another item. And furthermore, artifact farming should just be a casual activity. You farm for it when you can. I would be burnt out too like you if I farmed one boss for 3 days straight and didn’t do anything else in the game.

This needs more attention! A lot of valid points. Best one yet: where in the F%#K ARE THE MISSING ARMOR/WEAPON ARTIFACTS AGS?!?! Why are we only allowed 5 artifact quests at a time? Dropping an artifact quest from your journal starts you completely over which is a very poor design considering you cant check the requirements on the 6th artifact without dropping a current quest from your first 5. @dukesloth

EDIT: BOW, IG AND LS are not there because those weapons are the most effective. Those get the highest win ratio. They want to change them. LS is the most disgusting unbalanced weapon in the game. Bow has the lowest skillcap and if you have very basic aim you are good with it. IG is the one that's weird because nobody uses it as a main weapon and yet, it's a must in many scenarios and it is the factor that can change outcomes because IG has the highest wr. They literally said that they want to nerf IG but they have no idea how. Because it's just an offhand weapon, you mostly only debuff with it. If you remove or change a perk, it can change it way too much. lol. I mean, I said it many times before. People that play this game want a free shop. They go there, select whatever they want and that's it. Artifacts should be a rare af drop. If it would be up to me, the bosses would be much harder to kill. And the drop rate would be much lower. Or they would drop 3 weapon each time and the respawn timer would be 12 hours +/-2 hours or something. But as I said, those that play this game (in general), want a very easy game. And even tho, it is extremely easy, you literally get free bis for no effort, you can still complain about how hard it is. But for real.. Did you play mmos where you actually had to farm things? If you would have done that, you'd have said that AT LAUNCH that the game is easy. You had to farm, you had to craft, you basically crafted items with random perks and still, the game was easy. There are or there were mmos where you need to spend months. You'll do all kinds of activity, you'll pvp in the meantime, but to get a really good weapon, you had to spend months to farm. And even after that your chances were very low to get to the magical goal that everybody wanted. Out of thousands of players in the server, there were less than 10 that actually had the luck to get it. You were still be able to kill them ofc. People changed so much.. Back then, nobody ever mentioned it was too much.. We spent our free time there to have fun. It was fun. In new world, you literally don't have to do a damn thing and you see people complain about it being hard.. Come on...

TLDR: Despite artifact farms being largely easy, a pity system should be implemented to help out those suffering the extreme back-end of bad RNG (which would also be good for new/returning players and make farming in the future when everyone else already has these artifacts a lot easier). If a bag can only drop once, there needs to be measures added so that the player isn't permanently locked out from getting that Artifact. Edit: since posting i got both Lifetaker and Odo lol

This gearing system is god awful and its completely kill my interest in the game.

First tried finisher, odo, lifetaker, medium helm artifact (i forgot its name) and featherweight in the same day. In all my attempts i was just using my old voidbent, since it have decent stats and all parts with a luck perk, but no pearl or trophy at all. I thought it was that easy for everybody. Yet, let's be honest: is this worse than doing ECRs and easy dumb dungeons? I honestly don't think so. At least i'm clicking my buttons, not running around opening stupid fucking chests.
