Artifact Jewelry makes u WEAKER?

I made a pretty shocking discovery when I tried playing without any artifact jewelry at all. In the past few weeks I've been experimenting with blood drinker, endless thirst and ankh, but none of them seem viable at all. Today I tried playing without any of them and it felt way better.
This is the video where I discovered how artifact jewelries might just be bait and you are probably better off running without artifact jewelry at all.

My main problem with endless thirst is that if you are at any time OVERhealing yourself (that is, taking regen pots preemptively or taking health pots when you are almost full health) then you are completely negating all of the positive effects of the artifact. And I do this a lot while fighting. Also makes serum cooldown 71seconds lmao

Thing with no artifact is that you get more selection with burst damage or substain. You will never see a fire damage increase on an artifact.

Endless thirst with regeneration and alchemist reprive is the move 👌

It's personal preference ofcourse. But for my playstyle it just doesn't work. The potion cooldown makes it so you have less consistent healing than running without. Testing it I notice i am healing way more on average without endless thirst than with. Endless thirst also doesn't have healthy toast and even after the nerf it's still a 1100 heal every 12s. Endless thirst just doesn't allow for agressive playstyle or 1vX

how did you override the colour in OPR ? whenever i play it always overrides my dyes and makes me blue lol

Did they nerf Ankh again or are you just referring to the same nerf that came out before the Brute build? I thought you felt like it was still worth after that patch? Did something else change? Loving the content and I’m running brute build and it is too much fun! Thanks!

For the brute build ankh is still the way to go! Thats such a tanky build and with the brute build you are best playing with a healer or at least playing with a team. So ankh is still the best option for that one. Glad to hear you're having fun with the brute build! 💪❤

Everything the same as in my behemoth guide. Just changed the amulet. Currently running a shirking dot cleanse, divine, health amulet

Ofc u can play w/o them i refused to use ankh as it was busted now its only busted for pocket healer party \o/ ! i just hope they deliver content cause this s4 annoucement was disapointing :-( !

still been using ankh but dont even have much shirking heals anyway so prob will just go back to normal ammy. I used endless thirst for 1 day and couldnt do it

Hi, have u seen the new craftable heavy gear set with Enchanted Ward and Elem Aversion in the nwdb PTR ? If this goes live everybody will play heavy. I tell it to you because i see u a lot on the new world discord ptr balance.

Yes it's going to be super BIS. And to make matters worse ench ward and ele aversion is bugged. Giving it even more resistance than intended. So yeah everyone is going to be running it for sure.

Last week, I stopped using artifact jewelry for no particular reason, and I've since had a better experience. I've simply attributed it to 'switching back to what I've been comfortable with for the past year.'

@@jiggyspice6809 i think ankh was good before they nerfed to 25% and while it was 3% instead of 1.5%. especially since it was all healing that wasnt health potions.

Artifact jewelry isn’t the move for light.. I wasn’t able to get blooddrinker to drop so I never tested that. Even in med I play flail vg/bb and healers can’t be trusted to drop sacred songs point so no artifact is the move for me

I'm in the same boat as you Jiggy, I spend the majority of my time solo queing OPR and I've found I get better results not using any of the artifact jewelry. Endless thirst is nice for the empower, but the amount of times I die trying to get a potion cooldown to come back online is painful. I don't run around with a pocket, so no Ankh for me either. We'll see how it goes once they revert potion strength back in the coming patch.

Reverting potions back to normal was the only thing i needed as a solo player, it was so frustrating dealing with 5 monkeys and a pocket chasing you around the map and dying slowly. W Devs

Hahah yeah I was quite happy when I saw those patch notes now. I guess meta is up in the air again then, ankh might be back on the menu.. gotta test things on PTR tomorrow. In any case reverting the potion nerf is a massive W. I have been relentlessly spamming the official new world discord to revert the potion nerf for weeks now. Thank god they finally listened.

Yessir, fully reverting the -30% in instanced pvp and bringing back the pre-expansion potions. It's going to be amazing! @@hardstyledisco

@@jiggyspice6809I heard they're actually nerfing the cd on jav throw. So dumb imo. That's just like them. Balance an artifact by nerfing a base level skill. Here's an idea...make the cd increase artifact exclusive? I don't play spear btw. Just makes no sense

Gladly the nerf was not that big and it actuslly balanced scorpio. It is great from broken. This is the move with skill artifact weapons. Cd bigger but more powerful skills.

Ankh is fine if u use mana potions ot heal up on top of shirking heals. It does buff healing both of them, while reducing hp potions.

Mana pot only heals for 1600 with ankh, its very useless now after the nerf.

It's so fucking annoying that they've killed ankh. Their super lazy nerf has destroyed solo players and just forces pocket healing yet again. I've not bothered with Artifact jewellery since this nerf and I dont think I'll ever equip one.

Potion nerf getting reverted in next patch! Just dropped the patch notes. Solo play is back on the menu for real now! 🙌
