Yes u r right. It now sits with ther perks as the right option depending on play style and skill. It's balanced which is why some players are upset, they no longer have a gear crutch

I have a full set of enchanted ward/shirking heals and the heal is barely noticeable. The heal isn't huge and it doesn't proc often enough to be helpful. And it really is terrible if you are plagued. I would sum it up in one word. Garbo.

Like I'm a healer and had to double down on cleanses because of all of the disease rn. 😂😂 keeping splash of light regardless of the distance nerf just for the cleanse on it

It was before the first adjustment. Way overtuned. But I thought it was pretty balanced before this last nerf. Especially with Plagued Crits and Plagued Strikes getting buffed.@@BowJanglez

@@kirifpswell with the new disease stacking just plagued strikes, plagued crits, and putrefying scream. (All possible in a flail/VG combo) you can reduce the total output of a healers heals by 25% if they’re playing perfectly and even have 3 stacks of intensify. You reduce their outgoing healing by just over 50% with those plagued abilities, which brings them to just a 150% out going healing multiplier, so they lose 25% of their heals in 1 combo. That same combo also does enough to bring them to the incoming healing minimum of -30% incoming healing, so they’ll have a Very hard time healing themselves out of that combo.

Can you review Oiljar bow with plagued crits and FS build please? Seems very broken in light with full fire harnessing. I don't believe the attuned fire damage can be mitigated by anything at the moment and you cant heal through it as the open with a bow crit hence why this build is so good at the moment.

So I'm trying to figure out the the bis slot perks with my build waiting for the changes but what would they be? Be in mind I am running heavy armour fire staff and SnS or the abyssal it will be crafted with perfect perks but what would they be??

Weapon perks: empowering leaping strike(weapon or armor), fortifying shield rush(shield), empowering fireball(armor if using Inferno) 5x health, 5x shirk fort/enchanted ward/grit ward, and the last couple can be invigorated or freedom

Feels like no matter what defensive perks you run in light, you need 4-5 of them.

Still feeling good in shirking heals in a solo kite build. Kiting, switching to melee to go in and after that burst I got, I can recover faster with shirking heals. For me, it’s still working fine :)

I crafted shirk heals/freedom/weapon perks mage set with inductors and im still very happy about it :) love my pocket healer that I never had, tumbler shoes are important they heal as much as whole set :)

is there any reason for why the elemental aversion gives higher value than physical? shouldn't be the same?

Almost all magic damage you take counts as ranged damage. A majority of the ranged physical damage that you take converts about half of its damage to elemental (bows, muskets, etc.).

The biggest thing for me is the game isn’t in beta and they do ptr testing. This is a game where hundreds of hours are put in to get good gear so to nerf it multiple times and the last being a 100% nerf is just mind blowing to me and a poor job by the dev team.

I’m so mad hey I grinder my fucking ass off to make my full set 200k worth (this is after the initial nerf so I thought they wouldn’t touch it again) then finally finish it and a few days later they run it into the ground again. Plus plagued crits indirectly nerfs it too

day 1 after nerf i went 4 sh and noticed that its not that bad to use 3-4 sh + def perks efresh. sh still rocks imho

I was building a shirking heals set and plan on continuing, the heals are still good just not great/OP now. For small group or solo it stills seems very viable, especially as you say when you are running without a healer. Seems for ranged it is still very viable as well (I pretty much melee only, BB is fun though, so take it out sometimes). The reduction was needed.

11:30 it sucks that as a content creator you have to keep defending yourself from players who just want to oppose you for no reason. I get if they had a legit argument but most just come with pitch forks and violence and no logic.

Inplayed about 12-15 oprs on Delos yesterday and there was a 5 man pestilence group plus lots of other random pestilence users. Saying that, the nett shot nerf was noticeable, shook that poop off easily

My biggest problem is, I spent lot of money for my gear, but the rules always changing. New World was a great game, but now its a joke! Why devs not testing on PTR??? Live server is not for testing. Time to figure out what they want! ...and a few weeks and everything changes again... :S Thx AGS

The problem with shirking heals is that in order for it to be effective you need: At least 50 focus Ankh fully upgraded 5 shirking heals At least 200 con All of this just to make it viable. One thing as well to keep in mind is that if you stack 5 health vs 5 shirking heals your potions are also stronger due to not needing to spec Ankh as well as having more total HP for stronger potions over the course of a war or an opr.

I don't agree with that statement but 200 con+focus 50+upgraded ankh is ideal if you can run with that much in con and focus. It is still good even if you can't with your build, just not amazing anymore. I'll add that I usually run 350 str, 50 dex and 218 with an incomplete 688 set using food (stat food is so cheap), so I don't really see how 200 con and 50 focus is all that much of an issue for most builds.

The idea is that having some heals is better than no heals even if you have disease. Would you rather be diseased and proc shirking heals for 1500 HP or proc nothing at all?@@fpsshotty7445

They did it before with shirking fortification. By comparison, a full set of light bis was worth over 3mil gold back then. And they shit on it so bad it's completely useless for light. Millions of coin and months upon months of farming this dogshit game for all of it to get deleted over night. They will do it again with the next meta perks and they will shit on your time again a few months from now.

Plagued Crits, which you've expressed how excited you were for them to buff, is applied on every critical strike that puts you over half cap disease. Let's be realistic with these perk evaluations.

new heavy set is busted as fk, and since only melee uses heavy, I dont know why ppl says "melee is dead" lmao. You have autotracking on attacks, gap closers ,leap. Even heavy users stick like a bloodsucker

still not enough, even with plagued crits healers are healing too much. There needs to be an artifact that give you ultimate plagued crits and reduces healing by like 80-90%, or they need to implement a proper queueing with the same amount of healers on both sides. Games dying once again for a reason. Love the game but man does pvp feel like more of a chore than a fun passtime like it should.

Yep. As a healer, SH is still insane. We just swap to Rapier, evade and roll and get all our health back lol. It's annoying I bet, because it takes like 4-5 players to finish off a good healer 😂 I love being a nuisance haha

I think a solution to shirking heals is: Change it to: Heal 125 HP instantly and 125+1.5% of max health over 10sek. 5sek cooldown

Absolutely correct that the instant hit is a massive part of it.@@DukeSloth That said, MS basically immortalized anti-heal and it's total prevalence. Once it became remotely known, it's usage became synonymous with pvp and anti-heal.

Good. Shirking heals was giving players free HP for doing something they would be doing anyways. It also doesn't promote team play. Next, remove "Hearty". The double roll + wait for stam to regen needs to go.
