I have a story about him. Rockford Illinois 1987 I worked at Wendys (fast food) late night shift. I got off work at 2am, started driving home and I see this limo on the side of I-90 off ramp heading to Chicago. I pulled over to see if they were okay since it was winter and the driver didn't have a jack. I got mine out, freezing my ass off and helped him change the rear tire. I get my jack and get back in my car and see this guy get out of the back of the limo and he walks up to my car, it was Lou Gramm. He introduces himself and thanks me, I had no idea who he was it was so cold and snowy, after I figured out who it was he autographs my pay stub( which I still have) Says" Thanks Scott, my lifelong buddy who saved us from the cold". Just a little once in a lifetime memory ill never forget...Oh and it shows a whopping $3.55 per hour haha

Lou is again predictably a super duper professional! He never talks about himself when asked "group or band" questions. He even goes so personal as to indicate how he managed to try and make it through the POST surgery performances. We are witnessing the literal rebirth of a star that has a real genuine personality/outlook that now gives credit to his Maker for making it through and the talent he has been blessed with.

I agree about Lou. I've had the extreme pleasure of meeting him a handful of times over the years and he's never been anything less than a humble, courteous and down-to-earth guy. Glad to hear. The first time I was assigned to the band, Lou had just gotten his hair cut and I hadn't realized he was so short! I didn't recognize him. I apologized to him and he totally downplayed it and had a good time joking about it. They had a new keyboard player sit in on this day and he was from Billy Joel's band. The way Lou and the others took him under their wing and took care of him..... Awesome!!

I've been fortunate to meet dozens of "rock stars" in my life, but none was as genuinely gracious and humble as Lou. It was following his first gig back with Foreigner after his three-year split - Toad's Place, New Haven, CT - and he sounded phenomenal! The whole crowd was chanting, "Lou! Lou! Lou!" and, with typical Lou Gramm class & humility, he was responding, "No! You! You! You!" One of the greatest rock singers ever and a class act all the way. Thanks, Lou, for the music and for being so nice to me that night. I'll never forget it.

I saw Foreigner for the first time last night! The first concert I've been to since Covid started. Hands down the best concert I've ever seen! Lou's vocals were incredible! No sign of age or wear, he sang like he hasn't missed a beat! What an incredible voice he has, unmatched by any! The energy from him and Foreigner was absolutely mind blowing! I'm still so stoked!

I agree. Lou is the voice of Foreigner and no one can replace him. Have listen to these guys since 1978 I was in 8th grade. Lots of good memories to their music. Saw them in Eugene Or. at the Autzin Stadiam in 1983 I think it was. Best time Ive ever had. God BLess You Lou Brother. I love ya. Tom Moser

This band got me laid many times back in the day lol, I'm 55 now. most of their greatest hits were written and performed when i was in high school back in 78 - 81.

Lou is a very interesting guy and a great communicator. He’s had a tough road but is a survivor. I’m really happy for him. There are few voices in rock music history that can compete with Lou Gramm in his prime.

WOW, what a great interview! Thank you Lou! You are an amazing human being, and BTW, you DID raise the rock vocalist bar bigtime during your Foreigner years! An amazing voice, to say the least! Your music actually sounds better NOW, than it did back then, because most rock/pop music today seriously sucks!

Great person who’s been through a ton of bad luck, what a stage presence he was definitely the lead instrument… That voice, and now knowing his story it makes you want to cry… My wife and I love Lou…

Lou doesn't know it but he was one of my mentors in learning how to sing. The quick perfectly in pitch multiple note transitions were hard to master but he is one of the best. I would sing Foreigner songs on my way to gigs to warm up. Thanks Lou, you are one of the best. I note you have faith in God and I'm happy to hear that!! You are a class act and I appreciate being able to hear this interview.
