Excellent. I have all teens now so I'm in a different place in life but there are so many things I miss about their younger years. Enjoy them as much as you can. Work will always be there. The littles won't.

The topics of motherhood, social media, "being a content creator for art makes you a worse artist," perfectionism, etc. etc. REALLY speak to me. THANK you for sharing the realities. It's encouraging to know I'm not the only one thinking this. Really inspired.

Being a mom and nurturing the future is a very worthwhile 'career'. Congratulations to you both! May you both be super proud moms and successful in whatever you do.

This is all super relatable!! Thank you for this convo - I am transitioning into doing freelance full time next year while staying home with my toddler and I have been thinking and feeling all of these things. Kolbie said "Embrace your best for exactly what it is" oooooo I needed that 😳

This is a SUPER valuable conversation!! In the future, we will look back at the economic, political, social, and psychological effects of social media. Conversations like this are SO necessary for people to understand, acknowledge and grasp how far reaching the effects of social media have been, are and will be. I watched a video recently where a psychiatrist described their area of expertise has been studying narcissism. And when social media started growing, her first thought was, "oh, this is going to be BAD!" because she already knew the psychology behind mental health issues, and she predicted the external validation aspect of social media would have profound effects on mental health. As a 50+ year old mom (of teens) that never finished college, diagnosed with ADHD 8 years ago, and just finding my passion and niche in special education, there were a LOT of delightful nuggets of wisdom tucked in this conversation!! Cheers to you both for sharing this valuable, vulnerable conversation!!!!

There's so much that resonated in this discussion, even though I'm in a different creative field, and don't have kids. Social media is a 24/7 blessing and curse, and I think the truth is no one can keep up with it all. Most of us start our own companies for flexibility (work, but on your terms), but we can let ourselves become as locked in as we were with office jobs due to likes/follows, fear of lost X, and what we worry others will think of us.

Becca, Although you didn’t do much of the talking , I did enjoy your input. I actually watch every video that I see of yours, but did not know that you are pregnant . Congratulations ❣️You were the first Chanel I found that had several skills to learn . I go back to find videos that I have not seen of yours . From your cheery smile and perky personality , you make the videos a pleasure to watch and learn . I am a retired high school teacher and a retired critical care nurse in the SE USA. I home school two granddaughters, ages 14 , grade 9, and age 9, 4th grade , and try to encourage them to dabble in arts and crafts . Yes, I have shown them many of your lessons , and I use them too. Not in this for money , but to spark the granddaughters in arts . Thank you for sharing your skills with us ❤️

🙌🏼🙌🏼 I’m happy there is so much real truth in this interview. Seasons of life are just that - seasons. And you’re meant to change as you move through them. Not all of it will be rainbows & unicorns. You’re allowed to dislike parts of motherhood. It’s ok to want to slap the next person (there will be many) who smile & say “enjoy these days! They’re gone too soon!” You’ll always be a creative & an artist, to an even greater depth, navigating through these weird parts of life.

And, let's remember that society was originally built on neighbor helping neighbor, women sat and shared stories and wisdom with each other and with their children. In an isolated environment of content creator it is challenging to find your tribe to get that wisdom and neighbor- helping-neighbor support. This conversation felt like that, that tribe.
