I've just started following you because I've just stumbled into uploading "calligraphy" videos (emphasis on the ""). I love your straight forward, no nonsense approach and look forward to seeing whatever you do next. ❤

What I LOVE about your videos - one of the many things - is that you get straight to the point. Concise, clear, easy to understand, and straight to the point. Thank you. ❤

Modern calligraphy took me about an hour to pick up the basics to do a simple project for a friend, though I came in with quite a bit of other calligraphy experience (blackletter, italics, foundational, simplified copperplate, faux calligraphy). I've gotten a lot better at it with more practice over the past few years.

Hey Becca! Hope you're doing awesome. 😊 Thank you so much for your incredible videos! I learned calligraphy just by watching your content. You've made it so easy to follow along that I never felt the need to take any course. Your tutorials are truly amazing and so well done. Keep up the fantastic work!

Becca!! I was part of the Workshop Week for the first time this year and it blew my mind, mostly because of how nice the community you created around it was. I took your crash course immediately after you launched it and signed up for the basic course right after. My life is a mess at the moment, and learning calligraphy has been such a great outlet for me! Thanks for all your work and for providing great free content that gets us completely hooked :).

I tried to learn calligraphy off and on for two decades with books and I never got far. I took Becca’s 6-week Show Me Your Drills course, then her minuscules and majisccules, and now I’m really good. I recommend doing those after her 90-min crash course. The structured practice she gives you is exactly what you need to be great at calligraphy. I highly recommend it. Plus she’s a lot of fun.

Completely agree with what Becca said..If you start right, things will be easy. Right basics ,tools ,techinques can make your learning process hustle free and quick . Back in 2020 when i wanted to learn calligraphy it took me some time to find where to start. But i' am very happy that i could start the journey by signing up on Show me your drills free course .I think it was indeed the right place to begin..The course gave me a strong grip on the basics and made journey easier.Thank you Becca😍 for making such detailed and informative courses and videos..And i think you can learn calligraphy much faster but it will take a lot of practice and patience to master it.

Becca!!! It is so true… until I learn the basics with you it was a much better road to see improvement than beginning by copying someone style. My practice is on and off and even then I got compliments when I shared what I learned. Love your workshops, they truly are the best yet for learning calligraphy in supporting community, with experts guidance and feedback. A great learning experience. Thank you Becca for sharing your passion and bringing your experienced friends in this learning journey, too. So much to say!

What pen are you using? I’ve been trying to get something that I can use that can handle both pressures. I’m too lazy to dip. Best I’ve found was pentel touch Ben’s but after a few uses it loses the sharpness.
