This was a very educational as well as insightful interview. Georgina has a lot of wisdom about her process & it shows in her approach to her Painting. I am a Film Photographer & whenever I watch or hear Painters go into their doctrines about Art & Painting, it humbles me. Continue the great content.

Magical materials like hogs hair brushes. I'm curious does the hogs hair in brushes come from when the hogs scratch themselves on cage bars and things when they're in gestation (rates and it's moulting season? Or is it after the ga$ chambe that is the standard way to kill pigs in most the developed world? Where their trotters fall off they try so hard to escape suff0cating. Maybe the hair is hoovered up after the thousands of young pigs each day are finished being gas$ed alive in Co2? (Do they stop or do they kill them all night too?) Sorry I have to change letters. Strangely standard farm ing practice and art materials production is too sensitive for us ‘obligate carn ivories and omnivor es to read’

Georgina's very down-to-earth, intelligent, entertaining and engaging as she explains her process. You can tell from how enthusiastic she is that her painting and her life are inseparable. I watched to the end and really appreciated Jackson's Art putting this interview together.

Me i'm mostly intuitive and instinctive when i create, it's important, because it connect to the language of the soul, the imaginative part. But i have a more rational side on others part of life. Just to say that an artist dive in his soul to create too, so it's great to be down to earth, but to not mentalize too much the process^^. But i agree with you about her. She make incredible work. Mine is less realistic, but colors and art are my life.

My favorite images are at sunrise and sunset, with their large and contrasting lights and shadows, so I carry my camera and capture the references I will use for my paintings. I have a corner in my house which is my sanctuary, where I keep the brushes, canvas, etc. My paintings result in a small number that come out perfect in one go, a large number that I have to rework and change things, some of them are a real struggle, and a few that I have to discard or paint something else on top, which is interesting, because the old brustrokes create a texture that allows you to do pretty interesting work.

Kind of odd that you don't show any examples of her work until she starts on the demo 3½ minutes into the video. I've never seen a documentary about an artist before that didn't show any of their previous work.

@@paulfogarty7724She’s definitely talented, but OP’s right - it would be great to see her work upfront to see if it’s relevant. From the thumbnail and title, she could be a sculptor, a printmaker or a graffiti artist. Glad I watched it though, well presented and filmed and for a self-taught artist she has a great focus on composition and colour theory. I’d watch another video from her about either of those

🤓 as an amateur artist, it is nice to listen to an Artist talk about themselves first, without being distracted by talk about their work, before getting a brief glimpse into their motivation, materials and methodology, thank you Georgina Potter and Jackson Art 🤓

I really enjoyed the format. She is very interesting and I didn’t need to see her art right away because I enjoyed getting to know her and her process. As another person said you can just Google, it doesn’t take much effort, not every video has to be the same as the others you have seen to be appreciated.
