Okay the message of this one actually took me a bit to understand from the lyrics but I think I’ve got it. I clicked thinking “Artist Lemonade” was gonna be some metaphor for combining things from other artists you enjoy into a project you’re creating, like mixing ingredients into lemonade, but listening to the lyrics it’s actually not that close. It’s about pouring your entire heart and soul into a project. Sinking in hours, days, weeks, months of hard work. Even hurting yourself in the process, hence the bit about carving a hole in your chest. As for the sip at the end and reaction of disgust, though it may be played for laughs, maybe it’s representative of you finally finishing that project, and then you, or worse, everyone else hating it. Anyway another amazing job Anne! I especially liked the little Making Day motifs

There's a lot of artists in this comments section who've already pointed out the message of pouring out everything you have to finish a project, but I figured I'd add my two cents. I know far too well what it's like to sacrifice all your time for a project. I've had multiple times where I've set insane due dates for myself to finish an animation for a holiday or an anniversary, and fitting it in with my limited free time between school, sports, and chores. I remember staying up late so that's I'd feel horrible the next day, but still continue my grueling project, even once pulling an all nighter on Christmas Eve just so my animation wouldn't be late. It's a desperate grind that I'm far from the only one to experience, especially you, Atsuover. But I also remember the satisfaction of it all. Of finally finishing the video, of hitting upload. Of watching one of your animations finally blow up and hit a stunning 200k views. You've had that tenfold, and the lyric "All of this attention can be used as compensation" describes it perfectly. Even though the attention, the views the likes feels worth it... I still know it's really not healthy to work that way. There's a thin line between acceptable work hours compared to the reward, and that line is getting higher and higher as our culture accepts it more and more. Great song, atsuover.

"All of this attention can be used as compensation" This probably represents the artist and their followers saying the end product and amount of support makes metaphorically and sometimes literally ending yourself to make art is worth it. (Not everyone, but some support game developers working 100-hour work weeks because it makes the game look better!!)
@S111Else2 жыл бұрын
Here is my personal perception of it, the artist lemonade is the art, and the compensation bit is people treating it as only being with being paid with recognition, people treating the hard work that the artist put all their heart and soul into, as something that showing off to others can pay for it.

Also the last part just makes me laugh XD really tops off the song somehow with a lighter note- I'm not sure how to describe it, but it really ties off the whole song.

This song perfectly matches what a artist that's struggling, as a artist myself, I heavily relate to this song. Such as "The recipe easy there's no reason to be afraid." as sometimes I feel so disappointed in art that I end up being afraid to even start something, even though drawing is pretty simple to begin, even if it wasn't intentional to be relatable. The main message I got from this song though was that most artists can pour their hearts and souls into a piece art that ends up not looking good to their eyes. That some artists will see most if not all of their pieces in disgust, no matter how much they improve, not to mention the envy of the other artists who might as well be struggling with the same thing.

Such a banger. It slaps hard. I’m always a fan of your music, especially making day since it sometimes reflects some things I’ve felt with. Also, this is gonna be the LIQUID v2, lol

Even tho i am a newbie digital artist, i pretty much understand the message considering i am also afraid to post my art online because either everyone would hate it or put it in a "cringe compilation" or something like that... and i have also been having stress/depression issues lately. Anyways keep up the good work!😊💖💗

The robotic voice works so well, more so than I would imagine, I love it

As an artist going through art block this song has never been more relatable, since I’m just scrolling around seeing other artists work and dying inside as I can’t do anything as good as them- especially right now. Gotta love that roblox slurp though 👀
