Jungkook and RM made a speech at the other awards they won before. They won several awards here. Early this year, V’s closest friend died but they had to go American schedules. Here in Korea, we often live chatting with Bts members and I remember that one army asked what are you going to do this Christmas to Jungkook and he said he definitely has schedule in Christmas but he imagine that if he doesn’t have then he wants to listen to the music and wants to see people walking by. It’s soooo sad that they sacrifice their youth, twenties and private life and always intense that all over the world is looking forward to their creative music and performance and they only visit their parents maybe once a year. Also, this year they had another 7years’ contract with Bighit and at that time they considered a lot about their career and their private life. They want some rest but they can’t cause soooo many international armies want to see them. They didn’t disband and sacrifice their youth and life for armies. We need to respect Bts more!!!

You're right about a lot that you said, but the reason that they were struggling so much at the beginning of the year was because of how high they rose so quickly. They were accomplishing so many things that they never even imagined and that brought crushing pressure to them. They are used to intense schedules and not being able to do things like normal people since they have been for 8 years and the reason they do it is not only for fans but it's because they love their job and most of them can't live without it. Namjoon has said many times when being on break for more than a couple weeks he gets really anxious to work on producing music again and that he has to have a balance between work and his hobbies to function well. Yoongi always talks about how much fulfillment music gives his life and how he is greedy (in a good way) for producing. Jimin has discussed how when he is resting or practicing he wants so badly for their next concert to arrive because it's where he feels most alive. Of course they are motivated by the fans all over the world to keep working hard but it is definitely not their only motivation and it's not the reason why they don't just take a long break. I honestly believe that if they were given a month or more to do nothing related to music, performance, etc. most of them would be upset about it. However, I do agree that more frequent, short breaks to go see family would be good for them. The incredible pressure of being at the top and having so many expectations by the public placed on them to be the best and show that they are deserving of their status put unbelievable mental strain on them and that is the primary reason why they struggled so much sand that is an obstacle that none of us or anyone else can help them with. They unfortunately have to overcome that mental block on their own. I am just writing this comment to clarify that they are not just sacrificing their youth for ARMYs. They are sacrifing a normal youth for the fans they love, but also for their dreams, their love of music and performance, and their happiness.

They were thinking about disbanding because of the pressure they had and the expectations the people had while watching them....it is really heartbreaking... im really proud for being able to support them as an army💜💜💜

i think what really hit close to home for me was seokjin's speech. as we know, seokjin is the oldest among the members, so when he says "to our members who got a hold of their hearts, thank you so much." you can compare it to your parents congratulating you for your achievements. i also felt like he was thanking them for hanging in there till the end, even when times were tough. it's kinda like saying "this is what we achieved this year, and if we had disbanded earlier, we wouldn't have achieved something so great. this is the fruit of our labor. this award proves that we made the right decision. thank you for picking yourselves back up." anyways, i just wanted to put my two cents in on how i interpreted it (':

One of the member, Suga said after they perform at AMA’s at 2017 .. he cried ... not because he is happy but he is afraid. they become the “first” korean act to perform, first korean act to top No.1 Album in Billboard 200... they goal dream to perform in front of 50.000 people. but look at them now? so much responsibility and pressured to be more and more goood... i think thats why they said it is very difficult mentally for them because of over pressured...

RM didn't speak because they had just given long speeches for the award right before. Also my take on it is that they renewed their contract this year for 7 more years (which is the standard.) Even in all the crazy success, it truly was crazy and they were mentally tired and their contract was coming to an end. It's only natural that they discussed all their options. The fact that talked about it and then all unanimously agreed to stay for 7 more years (at least as part of their company) is huge. I love them so much, but also only want the best for them and I think will support them the rest of my life. Whatever courses they decide to take. I'm torn between selfishly wanting more content because they do so much to brighten my life and encourage me and really hoping they slow down a bit and take care of themselves before ARMY. Because they really do love ARMY as passionately as we love them. ...in fact I think that's where ARMY's passion comes from, from the example BTS sets.

Just love this speech 💜 cried again with you. This is why bts is so popular! Of course they have great music and amazing videos but I think that in the end it still is their honest way of interacting with fans that is the main reason. Great that you got to see that also!

I am really proud of BTS, they went through ups and downs since their debut, they made mistakes, corrected, worked, cried, suffered and almost disbanded, but with great strength and because of the armys they did not give up and are always doing their best so that they can receive the best, I am always so sad for the hate comments they suffer, but thankfully there are people who respect and seek to know the story behind BTS. I always cry ... to see how sincere they are, they really do love us their ARMY .... they work so hard every day not visiting their families for months ,... their work is both physically and mentally challenging..... and most importantly the love they have for eachother is crazy.... they taught me what love is.... they are not brothers by love .. they are brothers by love ....

Oh man, those are the true tears of an Army. Yeah guys, that was the most moving speech I ever saw. The first time I watched it I was crying like at the end of Titanic, which means, a lot.

That's what I love about asian award speeches. They let them speak. Not like at most american awards show where after 30 seconds music starts to play and they are draged off the stage.

1st "Daesang" mean = the most bigger awards normally Korea have 3 the bigger awards for each Music Awards(MMA=Melon Music Awards/ MAMA=Mnet Asian Music Awards(the one you watched in this video ) / AAA=Asia Artist Awards) All of them have 3 bigger award -> Music of the year / Album of the year / Artist of the year, the most bigger one is: Artist of the year, so that why BTS after won Album of the year in MAMA 2018 then still got Artist of the year that they feel so emotional p,s, your cat soooo cute, she knows you two feel sad>X

sm and yg bought many stuff from bighit in the beginning of the year, which even influenced the operation of the whole company. Thats why they almost broke up at that time. the three big company always do this kind of things…
