Hello beautiful, creative souls. Welcome back to my art studio in Glastonbury. I have been spending time slowing down ready for a calm little holiday and having quiet time in the mornings to write in my journal. Pondering on all that is going on around me and trying to stay centred in amongst all the chaos. I am really enjoying my new book for journaling my way into a brighter 2021! This video is part 1 of 2 as I am pacing myself in the holiday period to recharge and revitalise my energy batteries! I do hope you enjoy it!

I really love following you. You give me lots of fun and support ideas I had--- also that my channel may find its way--- like yours to inspire others and make friends around the world! My siblings do not speak with me as I am considered artist and non essential intelligence hahahaha I really don't care. it doesn't hurt; if it does its from a place I am concerned about their level of going inward and humanity--- but, I wish them super well. I spent the day in PJ's and loved it. I shared a lil Christmas with my Father whom I live with. And I still have a couple of presents to send off. I moved slow and these will be NEW YEARS Goodies. --- yes. I want to learn how u do the camera, overhead and such so it tapes you. And how u insert music and then time lapse speed ups. Oh you are fun and wonderful! thanks for your idea of the journal with the brag and desire --- hadn't heard of the 3 combo... Dr Christian N. was very famous for her book long ago & other stuff... I think she lives in Maine. She is quite down to earth and lovely gal....XOXOXO see your new video soon

Susan, I have the same problem! I aim to keep art materials tidy but i swear that they have a life of their own! But if we are too tidy then how can we just pick up a pen/pencil etc when the creative urge hits? However if i am surrounded by clutter then i do feel creatively dampened. I'm sure that there are those out there that talk about a 'balance' but i'm yet to find it ha ha!

Oh Wendy you are a breath of fresh air in my home bound world. You have inspired me to open the door to my little studio in my little cottage . It has been closed for months now due to new health issues and to be very honest, a dark depression. I happened onto your channel about a month ago now. I keep coming back and get more inspiration each time. Your calming ,peaceful soul ,speaks volumes to me. So thank you from the bottom of my heart !!! I wanted to comment for a second time. I just wanted to say that I love how you make me feel about myself and about life. I don't know you in person but your vieos make me really calm and they...give me hope I can say. I've been journaling since I'm 7, I'm currently 24 and it makes me so excited to think that I will still be journaling in 10 years and later. I also love how you look around while you're sipping your tea as if you entered an unknown place. I do that myself and I can say it is quite meditative to let your eyes hover in space. I just love this vlog, ahh, lots of love

I started journaling after my dad passed the way from COVID a month ago. It’s been very hard for me and so I started watching your videos which I’ve enjoyed so much, they bring me peace and had helped me to put in paper my feelings. Thank you and blessings to you and your family.

This year my holiday period has been very different as my husband passed away in April. I have been preparing my 2021 journal, i am using a one year day to day midori journal for the first time. I have been decorating the pages by doing little collage using inks, stamps, paper and stickers. I am so glad i have found your chanel, i love it xx

It’s always a joy to watch your videos. They bring me so much joy and your voice is so soothing. Our Christmas holiday was nice. We had a chance to spend time with my 25 year old daughter. We had our dinner in the garage and social distanced. We set up a table and tried to make it fun- It actually was fun. My daughter understands our reasoning and she is very supportive. I am deep cleaning my art room as I plan to restore my creative side back to what I've so enjoyed, all the paper arts! I'm finding so many wonderful things! After losing my husband ten years ago, I lost myself. I just could not create as it was so connected to my husband and his music. I've continued the music and now I'm ready to continue creating!

Holiday was quiet and restful and just what I needed, thanks Wendy. Looking forward to lots of journaling and art today after a walk with a friend. I love the idea of the trinity for journaling. We often find celebrating our achievements difficult, particularly here in the UK - I think that bragging is so frowned upon and we are always so self-deprecating! But I found comfort recently in reflecting on my achievements after a particularly bad bout of anxiety about all the things I had not managed to do. Turns out, I’ve actually done a lot of really brave and good things and it helped to be reminded of this! Looking forward to part two x

You are a bright spot to my day Wendy! I love the bits and bobs too. I'm in Darien, WI, USA. I was blessed to do art journaling every day this past week. I enjoy my creative time, it's really relaxing. The holiday was really different because of the covid. Hubby heated his workshop in the barn with the wood burner, it's a really large space, and we were able to invite 4 family members over giving enough space to be socially distanced. The family enjoyed our time together. We went to church on line. It's was so different not being there in person. I have hope for 2021! Eagerly waiting your next video. Hi, I watched your video on" how to start a journal for 2021 and heal the soul" and it inspired me to go and get a journal (for the first time since I was a teen and I'm 34 now). I just felt like I needed a safe place to express my thoughts and to help me be creative and feel greatful for all the good in my life. Happy to hear you’re feeling good and positive, and it’s been a good holiday season! Thanks for asking. 😙 I’ve been using less and less social media (apart from KZfaq) and I’ve now withdrawn from it altogether in the hopes that maybe one day I can return and use it in a way that feels more beneficial. My family also gifted me with a nice bunch of things to help me relax while we continue to quarantine. A robe, some matching slippers, as well as a variety box of teas and a kettle. Makes me feel truly blessed. Now it’s a very long comment haha, but I’m happy to have stumbled onto your channel! I’ve attempted to journal in the past a number of times and I’ve never stuck to it, but you’ve really opened my mind to the sheer amount of things that you can do with the craft, so thank you for that!

Lol, I like the expression "bits and bobs", and I also love "Bob`s my uncle", hahaha, or when you say queue instead of standing in line ..... but the most funny word, where I had to hold my belly laughing was the word: muckheap! hahahaha ... I am having a lovely holiday, with 2 of my sons staying with me. The 3rd one had to do duty in the german Army (Bundeswehr). We had a Facebook life get together and opened our presents together that way. :-D I was also so spoiled with wonderful presents from my girlfriends and lovely neighbours and lady from my knitting circle. I feel very blessed. I thought of you today and wished for a new video upload, and voila, there it was. :-D Made my evening. I love the way you put your hair up. Really wonderful holiday! While not traditional nor physically with all family! We did a good job using FaceTime to open presents together! My daughter prepared our Christmas dinner and I stayed with them for a few days in their home on a beautiful lake! Blessed and safe days!

It’s been a quiet holiday. I live in Ontario, Canada and they asked us to stay home for Christmas. A lot of us did and a lot didn’t. As of Boxing Day we are in full lockdown. Thank you for keeping me company. I love your vlogs.
