It takes a lot of force to be able to lift people out of the water like that. The hardest one I have done when I was taught by two olympians was a pyramid. Very difficult.

Treading water and egg beaters is far more powerful than you think. We used to do it all the time. People underestimate how much force it can give you. Even as novices we could propel ourselves out of the water

Artistic swimming is SO HARD. People have no idea. I was a championship swimmer, with many years experience, a water polo player, and I completed comprehensive water safety and deep water rescue training, and I could only do half a routine. It's basically underwater gymnastics, and the amount of resistance you have to generate just to stay in place is outrageous. It's incredibly freaking hard.
@kaaats4719
@kaaats4719 2 жыл бұрын
Yes! I was a competitive swimmer and life guard for years. I had also practiced ballet for 9 years when I started synchro and thought I must be a natural. I was so WRONG, I really struggled. And outsiders don't realize that you're basically having a head ache during the entire competition because the gelatin has been pulling on your scalp for hours.
