This is my 2nd Keurig coffee maker of this model. kzfaq.infoUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first worked fine for more than 2 years, and I could still get a decent cup of coffee out of it if I fiddled with it when I decided to replace it. The problem I had with my first unit was this: When attempting to brew a cup of coffee, the unit would either keep brewing until the coffee was undrinkable or it would not run long enough and the coffee produced was way too strong. I cleaned the unit as best I could but it did not help. So in the end it was just too much trouble to get a good cup of coffee out of it, so I decided to replace it with a new one, which has been working great since I unpacked it.

Had mine for 6 months now, brewing several batches per day. Absolutely love it! You understand that the developers are really into coffee when there is a timer automatically starting after coffee is brewed, telling you how long time since it was brewed. Details, but nice. I can make a long list of pros, but will instead mention some cons and how to fix a couple of them: 1. The insert cone shaped filter holder makes it easier to wash of the paper filter under the sink, but it also adds needs of cleaning in space between the cone and the large one. 2. Using the brew-in-cup function (which is great!) can be a bit splashy if you have a low cup. Solve this by putting something as a stand getting the cup higher. 3. Not only does the pump sound, it vibrates making the table vibrate too. Helped a lot to put som fabrics under it to dampen vibration. 4. Using brew-in-cup does not have a drop-stop function. Couple of times I have forgot to put the cup under and ther will be coffee everywhere. Even all cons above - I love it!

I think you need to include the temperature of brewed coffee in negatives of this coffee maker. 4 days back I got Sage precision machine and found everything as good as you described however, the brewed coffee quiet low hot even on max 98 degree. This is for me, a decision maker whether to recommend this machine or not.

I just purchased one yesterday. My ten-year-old Breville Infuser finally died, and I decided to not get it fixed and not buy another espresso maker. Although, I really like my Long Black I was getting tired of chasing the perfect espresso and having to dial in grind every time I changed from espresso to pour-over, French press, (my brew method of choice when I have time except I don't like the cleanup) or cold brew then, back to espresso (grinder is Vario-866 with ceramic burrs). Additionally, in summer months with 90 degree Fahrenheit temperatures and 70 humidity I drink lots of cold and ice brew, too. I have had to resort to a manual grinder so I could keep the Vario on espresso setting. Breville was kind enough to give me a 25% discount so opted to go with Precision Brewer Tribute which comes with the pour-over adapter and thermal carafe. Anyway, I really trust Artisti Coffee Roasters so I am happy to see you've given it good reviews. I can hardly wait for mine to arrive. In the meantime, I'm making traditional cold brew in a 32 ounce (.95L) traditional Ball Jar. The only downside I can see at this point is that it doesn't make French press. Cheers Mates

These are so much better than a moccamaster IMO producing a much better cup. I would love one however I am only brewing small batches at a time (around 300ml) so am sticking to v60 for now- but with a now reduced price I am still tempted… my fiancé would kill me though as the GS3 and EK already take up too much bench space in the kitchen apparently :P Thanks for the video!

@sebastiaanhoenderdos7458

I usually take the basket out and do a quick swirl right after it's done pumping all the water through, that leaves the bed perfectly flat and tastes the best with my grind setting and coffee. I do not swirl after the bloom, somehow that tends to clog the filter.

Just bought one last week because of all of the great reviews and customizable features that you highlighted. However there is one thing that is disappointing beyond the features, it simply does not get hit enough. I’m not looking for a scalding hot cup of coffee, but if you make a 4-5 cup pot, the carafe acts as a heat sink. I only record 130 degrees right away, and then it starts going down from there, and yes I am preheating the carafe and have bumped up the temperature etc. add half and half, and down it goes even further. I called customer support and after 40 minutes of getting nowhere, I was put on hold for another 10 before I just hung up.

@deanekarstaedt8182

@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters You're probably brewing a full pot. There is a marked difference in temp between a 4 and a 5 cup pot. A 4 cup pot is noticeably cooler, and again if you add cream you're knocking the temp down even further. I left the carafe full of hot water yesterday and walked away for a while. When I returned to pour it out it was still steaming hot. This tells me that the carafe really acts as a heat sink pulling the heat out of the coffee when there's not much coffee inside to counteract. This morning besides preheating the carafe, I preheated my mug with cream in it for 22 seconds in the microwave. Finally, a respectable temp for my coffee. I can live with those additional steps. It's a well made machine featuring customized settings which I appreciate. They need to either reengineer the carafe OR make buyers aware of what to expect brewing a small pot.

I am looking at this for several months now but the last Thermo coffee maker we had clearly did not keep the coffee hot enough as we like it on the hotter side. Therefore I’m looking at the glass version of this with the heated plate. I know that could cause coffee to overheat however we finish our pot generally within an hour. Should I try the thermal version or just stick with the glass model that I could keep the pot hot?

@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters I've been hearing that if you are making a smaller batch like maybe 2 cups that the thermos absorbs all the heat and leaves the coffee cold. Looking to buy one of these with the express purpose of making my morning coffee. I get up at 4:45am and my wife won't wake until 7:00. Is this machine going to disturb her? How loud is "not very loud" I can't find a decibel figure anywhere and no KZfaq videos show the machine working - all the reviewers just skip to the made coffee. I know I'll have to grind my coffee the night before, but the advantages of having a good cup of coffee ready when I get up far outweigh the loss in flavour I might get from having the ground coffee sitting for 8 hours.

Bought one of these in November and just had to get rid of it this week. I wanted to love it so bad, but the lid traps moisture and creates mold. You cannot get it out and so soon as you brew that great pot of coffee it’s actually disgusting swamp water. How are none of you people talking about this? Breville is aware of the problem yet they refuse to do anything about it. The internet is burning up with folks talking about a solution. I’ve seen people cut theirs open (spoiler: it’s disgusting inside) just to clean it and glue it back together. Oh how I wish this weren’t the case, everything else about the unit is great. At this price point however, I shouldn’t have to soak the lid in vinegar every 72 hours.

@Shadysides When you say lid, are you referring to the lid on the thermal carafe?
@shadysides5865
@shadysides5865 Жыл бұрын
@@TJC1315 Yes, sorry I wasn’t clear. The lid to the carafe. I gave up the Breville having used it since November I ordered the OXO 8 cup but only brewed one pot of water before moving on. It produced a large amount of steam out the top and because of the small space I had it in under the cabinets I was afraid it would be a problem. Also I didn’t like the feel of the quality but I’ve read it makes a great cup of coffee. Also the carafe lid didn’t fit easily on the carafe, I could instantly tell that was going to be annoying. So after all that I went to Williams-Sanoma and bought the Moccamaster and other than not being programmable I could not voice a single other concern. I’m picky and I love this thing. I almost bought it before the breville and the only reason I didn’t was because it wasn’t programmable. Could’ve saved myself a lot of money and trouble. I am definitely keeping the Moccamaster. The one other comment I have on the breville is that the pour over single cup function is great, although I have read the eventually the actuator that holds the drip stop open can give out rendering that function useless. You can find life hacks online to deal with that though if it happens. The only way I could recommend the breville precision is if a person was only using the single cup feature.

@Shadysides Thank you for your detailed reply! I'm looking to replace my Zojirushi and have been researching this Breville, OXO, Cuisinart pour over. @@TJC1315 okay so I’ve tried to reply a couple times now and it appears prevent my reply likely because of a link I was providing to you with more information about the breville carafe lid. Just search “Breville Precision Brewer carafe lid is disgusting” and there is a Reddit forum with a lot of information. I wish I could’ve learned all this before purchasing and saving myself a hassle. The thing I wanted to add about the Moccamaster is that the lack of programming has not been nearly as big of a deal as I anticipated. I still prepare coffee ahead of time so all I have to do is flip a switch and 6 minutes later it’s ready. Good luck in your search!
