5 жыл бұрынOn this episode of Philimena.com I go to one of my favorite spots in town to get all my authentic Liberian art, costume jewelry, carvings and more! This place will always be special to me as it was one of my first stops in 2001, my first time back since fleeing from the war in 1990.
I always like to support Liberian artists as we have so many talented people with a variety of skills. Did you know there is a "Union Of Liberian Artists?" With over 1,500 members? Check out the video and see some of the amazing work that is being done right here in Liberia!

When you can turn something into beautiful art you got the heart of Liberia. Help me to present you as a teacher of the wealth of your country. Yes. My wife and I went last year and met that lady and a young man, I think her son. She was very nice and had many unique pieces, some of which we bought. Can't wait to go back. Great video, btw.

Of course, we are so connected with the Liberians! I know the history of the 15,000 free blacks from the United States, and 3,000 from the Caribbeans they put in a ship to Liberia during the time of president Monroe. For the Liberian brothers and sisters, live with the assurance that you are Hebrew Israelites. Shalom! And you Liberians Diaspora are of course so-called Afro-American as well If there was a law of protection!
