At a fundraising concert for Chords 2 Cure (a pediatric cancer research foundation) in Santa Monica, California, Chris Martin surprised a delighted crowd by joining a rock band of 8th graders called A-Side and playing "Fix You," "Twisted Logic," and covering Prince's "Raspberry Beret" - what a magical, incredible thing to do for everyone, especially the young musicians on the stage (who played really well!)
(If you'd like to donate to Chords 2 Cure, visit their site here: giving.ucla.edu/Standard/NetD... )
Also, if you want to see the rest of the final song (which cuts off in this video because I ran out of storage) you can see it here: • Chris Martin (Coldplay...

I go to every single band/chorus performance my grandson is in. Someday, all he will have of me is memories. Watching him perform beats any concert I ever went to, even Floyd pales in comparison!! Love that my grandson is playing a Schecter guitar & his granny watched Mel Schecter get famous!

yeah, it's just the KZfaq algorithm though, it likes to cluster comments on a single topic... I'd be honored if some Chris Martin fans would take a listen to my acoustic piano & vocal performances of SKY FULL OF STARS and VIVA LA VIDA on my YT channel in tribute to the master of 21st century songwriting. Live acoustic with no autotune or digital editing. Thanks and peace.

Ikr? We didn’t even have music at our school. I mean, technically we did have it, but only for a year, and there was only one piano and the teacher was the only one who played it on the lessons while we just sang. When I found out how music classes should actually be done I was blown away, because I’d never seen or heard of such a thing before.

school ruins passions. i was always passionate for math and marketing but school turns those passions into a chore rather than helping you build on those passions. taking music to school and trying to teach kids things while grading them poorly if takes them slightly too long to pick something up is what ruins passions

Of all the songs played, Of the thousands of people that have seen your show live. Of the Millions of people that have sung along with your songs. Personally, i would consider this the greatest achievement that you can do as a human being. To be an ambassador of human kind to our youth. The little ones, struggling with life, love and identity. With all the sorrow and hopelessness our next generation must endure. To be a light in the abyss is the greatest gift you can provide.

Jonny House exactly how I expressed it, above: Jai Demaio they're incredible - and the look on their faces when Chris cans out to greet them. Heartwarming stories that we all wish were what you heard on the news vs hate, crime, war. These are stories you want to share with your kids. That you kids can play and hang out with the best of them!
