heeeck i recently had an issue with that and end up using a geo node setup for that same task. works waaay better and have more control. in new update you can save geo nodes as custom modifiers. I have bunch of useful geo nodes stored as assets for easy access but being able to use them as easy as regular bevel or sub-d modifier is really a game changer. Can even add a gizmos to them in future updates soo ooh cant wait to see what community end up with. Dont sleep on geo nodes folks, they are really nice tool for modeling
