As City Sizzles, Hyderabad Zoo Keeps Animals Cool With Sprinklers, Desert Coolers

With temperature soaring, Nehru Zoological Park authorities have put in place a series of special arrangements like installation of water sprinklers and desert coolers to help its animals stay cool. "We're providing 50 coolers and we've covered the enclosures with grass. We are also feeding the animals with seasonal fruits," said S Devi, Curator of Nehru Zoological Park. This Zoological Park is one of the most iconic tourist places to visit in Hyderabad. It is also one of the largest zoos in the country. (Credit: ANI)

For heaven's sake, please free these animals, they belong to the wild, how much ever 'facilities' you provide, nothing equals to freedom, the leopard anxiously walking to and fro in its small cage is a sure sign of desperation. These are jails for animals, only difference from those places where humans are incarcerated is that, humans commit (some of them) crimes to be put behind bars, but about animals, they are kept in Jails just because they are animals, as objects to be seen, to be poked, to lead a miserable life of bondage. Shame on the curator who was waxing eloquent about providing comfort'' to these animals, kept under these small cages...

I think time has come for zoological park to equip with artificial wax wild animals, instead of this kind of un economical methods. If this continue even zoos will be privatised with duplicate animals 🤣🤣🤣. Some way these animals which are jailed for years will get freedom. Lesson: Actually zoos are the place to learn and develop nature but not to taut and irritate the natures friend. People come to zoo voluntarily, or for the kids who wants to earn knowledge, atleast govt must put the team or substance to motivate the people to become nature friendly... The display boards and effigy may not say it better than an nice chat and interaction. People also should understand the importance of nature , I also mean insted to visiting or doing service to human built gods and structure , people should respectfully pray to nature, which they are built with.
