This is one of the best Hip-Hop albums of this generation. Lyrically, ok it's not the strongest, but as Fantano also stated in his review, it's not something to look so deep into. The album stimulates the aesthetics within your mind without having to open your eyes. There is so much style and charisma beaming out of the sonics of this production that it's hard to not enjoy it. This is the album that put me back into Hip-Hop after the drought of horrible records we heard for years from the likes and likening of artists such as Flo-Rida and Lil Wayne. However, just like the album, the A$AP Rocky we hear is left in the past as his entire persona seems to have veered into being a fashionista, art enthusiast. Just everything I hear, even A.L.L.A; disappointing.

i feel like u didnt give rocky enough credit on this.. his flow is unmatched, u cant seriously tell me kendrick can spit on beats like these lmaooo.. rockys flow is godly.. if he concentrates on his lyrics he might be one of the bests

This tape is all hits and no misses, 10/10 classic

Give asap rocky time to grow (lyrically) ! He is still a new artist working with experienced producers. He's blends well into the songs and doesnt come off corny or overly showy. I'm impressed and eagerly awaiting his work with araabmuzik...shit is going to be tighttttttt and hopefully he'll standout a bit more.

The third song "Bass" has one of the dopest beat I've heard in a long time. "Goldie" and "Peso" also has almost perfect production. It's just like Anthony says, the sounds capture the high of weed and purple. It's such a delight to listen to, also A$AP's voice and lyrics makes them complete.

It's funny watching these old reviews where Melon is concerned with lyricism vs his recent reviews where he tends to let artists like Rocky slide as long as the music's good. I think that you could say this album is a precurser to psychadelic trap, like fantano literally sounds like he's trying to describe psychadelic trap without knowing the lingo yet. I'm surprised anthony doesn't bring this mixtape up more, especially seeing as he seemed to like it a lot. and sex 5:12

Clams Casino is one of the best producers ever. It makes me happy that the rap game is really embracing his style despite how unique it is. He really is the unsung hero.

Good review. I listened to this album for the first time about a week ago. I too was expecting some good lyricism but the beats on this album are so entoxicating. I listened to it all the way with the feeling of being high/drunk.

Very nice review dude ! Totally agree with you. The bad point, for me, it's about the sound quality, mastering is not really, actually it could be really better. After listening to it for over a week, I'm starting to really hear the bad sound quality on some track, specially in bass and some voices.
