The funny thing is that there is a difference between the two audio clips of him saying bar. When it sounds like he is saying far he is actually tucking his bottom lip while when he says bar he doesn't tuck his lip under his teeth. This is an interesting topic that needs to be researched more, but you don't need to lie to make yourself seem smart.

The tritone paradox also works with your car. When you turn on your turn signal, you get the clock clock of different tones. Even cooler, you can decide which one you hear. In the video, play the clip over again and tell yourself to hear what you didn't last time. Cool

To all those facing problem with the second one, the one with the circles, Did you all even understand it. I didn't at first and then I started researching. The circle does flash twice and you are supposed to see it twice with that 'poik' sound in both flashes. Next it was played 'poik' at only one circle and the other did apear but it was supposed to trick you that only one circle appeared since the second one did not appear with sound. Since his circle was too big on the screen and the flash speed was too slow we all could see both circles in both rounds. Also the colour and the pitch of that 'poik' sound was too high to make this work. Hope this helps you.

Hey I got the circle flashing thing right. That could also be an optical illusion because since it’s flickering instead of flashing and disappearing it could make one think it was shown more than once

2:28 that is because octaves are ocillating, where they go up and repeat, go up and repeat, so you can start on one note in an octave and go to a note above it in the scales but change the octave. It’s pretty cool 😌🙂

Okay this is pretty freaking. I just heard laurel and many of my friends heard yanny, and i couldnt understand how they can hear Yanny when it was clear as day to me that it was laurel, and me after listening to it again and again I cant hear Yanny. But after listening to it again after some 2 hrs, I am now just hearing Yanny, and cant hear laurel at all. Why is that? Its freakish

It's because you mind has a hard time interpreting what is receiving, a mix between high and low frequencies, so it picks one. If your able to concentrate hard enough you might be able to hear both frequencies at the same time.

weirdly enough, the first time i heard the descending ascending sound stuff in other videos, it actually was always different, but not this time, i actually heard both at the same time edit: the stair one is also the same, i heard the sound ascending and descending at the same time, but this time the descending is a bit harder to hear edit2:the infinitely ascending sound definitely tricked me

Well I still trust my ears as I didn't fall for the circle popping up thing (and the later version of the sheppard tone I once listened to it for a bit and I think I catched the drop)

I only saw once circle flash and when you played the climbing audio again it sounded like it was the same audio clip from the start, not a continuation of the first one.

The Shepard tone only works for a little bit for me. Eventually it stops sounding like it's ascending; it sort of "drops" to a lower tone and starts over. I especially noticed this when I watched a video of _Super Mario 64_ with the "endless stairs." That particular version only sounds like a repetitive piece of music maybe 8 measures long. The one in this video is better but the same thing happens after a while. I have no idea why I hear this way. I thought everyone did.

The rising tone one reminded me of the infinite staircase tune in Super Mario 64 - I swear I've always thought that song was getting higher and higher and higher and it got to the point if you listened to it a lot it got pretty intense haha
