People have been comparing themselves to others since Cain and Abel, and ever since then comparison has evidently been the thief of joy. The environment we live in today offers an unprecedented amount of opportunities to interact with people around the world, but it has also provided more temptations to compare ourselves to others.
Jackie talks about her temptation to be the most popular Catholic on social media. But she realized that no matter how many Catholics we have spreading the message, more are always needed. If you are spreading the gospel on social media, whether you have one follower or one billion followers, you are a worker in the vineyard and we need you.

God bless you 🙏. My insecurity has been inflicted upon me by a person I love. I'd like to add to your message that even when people you love compare you to others, don't start feeling unworthy. God made you for His mission, not to be judged by anyone including your loved ones.

Here's another thing. When you're in a relationship with someone you care about don't compare yourself to them either. Pretty soon that constant comparing will make you resent the person that you supposedly care about.

Thanks for making this video from South Korea. Today has been a tough day for me and I started feel unworthy. So very true - whether we are feeling that the other person is better than us or worse than us, the comparison is unnecessary. It hurts us and them.

This is so amazing Jackie! I am a young worship leader just starting out and have definitely struggled with comparing myself to other worship leaders. It's so encouraging to hear someone who wants to cheer other "workers in the vineyard". We really are all on the same team!

Thank you Jackie! I totally needed to hear this. I had abandoned my love for painting for many years, but lately I've been feeling God prompting me to begin using my gift of painting to glorify him, and this has definitely confirmed it. I already started a painting, which I offered to God, and it has already started to become one of the quickest and best pieces I've ever painted. This video came at the perfect time. Its so easy to compare ourselves to others, but its harder to swallow when we know someone's more Christ-like than us. I love the idea of cheering on others who're helping people get to Heaven. Its a mutual victory. I think comparing ourselves to others, especially for women, comes down to pride and vanity and a fear of not being accepted. The Lord will always be willing to love and accept us. Awesome video; your family is so cute!

I have that exact problem. The young adults in my parish are so active, and its great, but I always feel like I'm not doing enough. Always feel like I'm not doing enough.

This is good thinking and godly advice. So glad you talked about self-glorification and celebrities that just don't align with Christ's mission. In fact-- it is more serious than that-- it is totally against, totally opposed to Jesus. And basically worthless.

It's easy to say when EVERYTHING is going good in one's LIFE and has planned to have "joy." Is very difficult when there have been many failures and unanswered PRAYERS. However, it is ALSO NOT good to fall into the lie of despair, may God in Heaven help us find that "joy" in suffering and hardships. Amen♡

All I can say is wow, I feel like this video was made for me. Let me tell you how crazy this all is! 1. I was just singing to my baby not 10min. Before watching this, “at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow...” 2. I’ve recently created an additional Instagram page to try and influence true, raw, catholic posts. I wait until I feel a topic I should address (usually something going on in my life) and I write it out, and then I think/pray on it for a few days and ponder whether or not I should post it. This particular one I’ve been debating is called, You Are Enough. Crazy right?! But I’ve been wondering if I should even post it because that inner dialogue is saying “are you saying anything that unique, why would people feel influenced by you, etc.” but this video has totally given me that inspiration I was needing. My overall solution to envy/jealousy of someone else's resources is akin to "*You* keep on going with that, even as envious/jealous of you that I am, that's for *me* to solve." and believe me, we are *NEVER EVER* to speak to the evil one, not even to stand up to it- that's as foolish as it gets; just pay that evil seraph no heed and keep on going. Any other solution is beyond stupid on the wrong direction imaginable, the worst solution imaginable, completely and totally!

My ex-boyfriend compared me to his other ex almost the entirety of our 5 month relationship. I knew of her, and know that she is a wonderful, God-fearing woman who does great work for Heaven. I know she isn’t the enemy here, but not comparing myself to her when other friends mention her or I see her is very challenging.

Amazing video Jackie! I feel inspired and motivated after hearing those anointed words of encouragement, that the kingdom needs more people to spread the love of Jesus to the 7 billion people in the world. I'd like to incorporate some level of evangelization/Catholicism into my music tutorials on KZfaq but don't know if it is professional or appropriate... what are your thoughts?
