Amourshipping is just very popular with the fans cause its one of the most develop shippings in the pokemon anime next to Pokeshipping but just more popular and I enjoyed it especially Serena even though she only lasted till the end of XY&Z while Misty lasted till the end of Johto and made appearances every now and then and even recent but unlike her Serena never hide her or denied having feelings for ash, was always true to her feelings for ash, and did something that no pokegirl has ever done when it came to their feelings about ash....kissed him shame it was censored even in japan but this really made the fans very happy. Serena was very well develop in fact part of her character was develop was because of her feelings for ash. I could go on and on but i'm just gonna end it here saying like everyone else and i'm sure they agree bring Serena back to Alola cause i want to see what Amourshipping would take from there even though we lost that mature and badass ash we wonder what his feelings of Serena would be after that scene with her

Yeah I checked she just says “thank you” in both versions However, one thing that was changed was just before the kiss scene, albeit less interesting, in the Japanese version Serena says “next time we meet, I’ll be a much charming woman” and in the English version she says “next time we meet, you’ll like the person I’ve grown into” I prefer the Japanese version but eh take your pick

Ahhhhhhh! That makes me want Serena to come back even more! She literally perfect for him. She's so kind and generous most of the time and she's assertive when necessary. I love how she's so supportive of Ash. Now I don't have any hate towards Misty, but in my opinion she was a little over assertive with Ash. To put it in other words she went a little too far. She didn't really start to support Ash till the end of their journey or somewhere in between. I'm glad that she's toned down now, but I still don't think she's the right girl for Ash. My favorite moment is when Serena grabs Ash's hand when he tries to battle someone before registration for the Kalos league. That must've taken real guts to bypass her feelings and just bring out full assertiveness to stop Ash from battling. In all honesty, I expected Clemont to stop Ash and not Serena so I was a little surprised. I still can't believe that Ash and Serena only had one fight. Boy was that seen powerful. While I don't like seeing two people fight and I kinda just skip through it, it was still full of feels. And Ash owes his mastery of Ash-Greninja to her because she snapped him out of his depression. Serena is still and will forever remain my all time favorite female companion.

I think the reason why Misty was rough with Ash in the beginning of the series was because they weren't really friends when starting off since Misty was still upset at him for taking her bike with no permission or reasons giving, then got it destroy which meant he owed her. On top of that, Ash back then was really hot headed, cocky, and reckless as a trainer and as a person, and that also annoyed Misty because of how immature Ash was back then. However, as they both continued to travel together with Brock, Ash during Johto started to improve more as a trainer and his friendship with Misty started getting better as both of them grew to respect each other. And at the end of Johto, they both left each other on great terms and as great friends with Ash mentioning about Misty to his other female companions like May, Dawn, and indirectly with Iris. Even now when they meet each other in Sun & Moon, they rarely argue and have great respect for each other. The thing is, Serena met Ash when he was already at his best as a trainer and a person/friend, while Misty met Ash when he was at his worse. Even May & Max saw some hint of the brash & hot headed immaturity of Ash before he grew more out of it during their journey with him. Now imagine Serena's reaction to old Ash from Kanto saga. I'm pretty sure Misty would've love to meet the Kalos saga Ash instead of the noobish Kanto one.

Don't give up till it's over. Pokemon franchise has still a long way to go and there will be a time when Serena returns like Misty appered in Sun and Moon after the pokemon advanced season. You might have heard tetsuo yajima saying on Serena, you should not lose your hope after that.

When Serena kissed Ash I didn't see ash blush at all it's like he doesn't even know what it's like to have a crush on someone you know for years. We've all seen them in different animes. Presenting you all with Naruhina Naruto and Hinata. Hinata Hyuga fell in love with the boy with the nine tailed fox inside of him and he's the son of the 4th hokage everyone's favorite knucklehead ninja Naruto. In the Naruto movie: The Last takes place after the 4th great shinobi war and Naruto is the hero of his village now and the girls loved him. If you watch that movie until it gets to him and Hinata, Naruto fell in love with Hinata finally. It took him years to find out true love and it was right freaking there. XD and now Hinata and Naruto are a married couple with 2 kids. I ship ash and Serena

yeah but after she kissed him he showed a smile. it was the smile of understanding. He doesn’t know much about love, but he interpreted that kiss and her feelings towards him in the only way he knew how to, that’s why he didn’t show much emotion after that kiss. i guess it goes to show that he knew that she liked him after that and he did understand what she meant about that kiss and he realized that he meant more to serena than a friend. I’m sure ash felt some kind of romantic way towards her after that and even if he didn’t, i’m guessing serena will always have a special place in his life because she was different than anyone else that ash has ever met, after all, she WAS the only person to kiss him and love him too.She always helped him out and ash even said himself that it was serena who helped him through lots of tough spots. also, when she left, ash told clemont i’m sure she’ll be okay, don’t forget she’s really strong, so he wasn’t completely overthinking that kiss or anything so i’m guessing he accepted it that fast? it could also be just because he’s dense but whatever🥱🤷♀️ i also remember that i saw this thing it said that amourshipping is canon so they end up together anyways the creators even said they end up together in the future but i don’t know😐🤷♀️

@@TiffanyALuna I love AmourShipping, don't get me wrong, but Ash never told Serena he wanted her to stay with him. The preview of the final episode did have him mentioning that he will miss her, but Ash was the one who helped her figure out what she wanted to next and fully supported her and told Clemont he wasn't going to worry about her because he knows she'll be something when he see's her again. Plus I wouldn't say Ash loves Serena. You could say the seed for that is there and that Ash may obliviously be in love with her since his Kalos flashback focused more on her than the siblings, but I wouldn't decisively say such a thing.

There were also times where Sarena would hold Pikachu and that was something I picked as either he gave him to her or Pikachu just chose her. Which I think enhances it because it shows Pikachu likes Sarena more.

In the Ash and Misty shipping, it was mostly pushed into the script by the English dub with 4Kids. The Ash and Serena shipping is perhaps the first for the Japanese version of Pokemon and I was happy to know that the English dub followed through following with the Japanese script. As an older Pokemon fan during the Gen 1 era, I had a huge crush on Misty but when I heard that Serena had a crush on Ash in Pokemon X and Y early episodes, I got right back into watching the Pokemon Anime again after being a fan who only watched Pokemon on TV here and there when it was on during previous seasons.

Another pointer not many people remember: during the transmission of "pokénchi" there was a quiz where the correct answer defined Serena as "Ash's girlfriend". It's not the official show but having an official channel that usually spread infos and more stating so it's surely not irrelevant!

In Pokemon Master Journeys, Episode 9 is titled "Memories of a Warming Kindness" and by the end, Chloe represents a shipper whose ship has sank, reaction proves it and I thought it was a funny reference to the world of shipping. The title (and title music) combined with the whole in-universe shipping might be an indirect, subtle hint of Serena's return to the series soon.

And now I kinda feel like Sun and Moon is like a vacation, and there has been absolutely no hints of crushes with any of the girls in Alola, maybe they were doing Sun and Moon as a period of time that Serena is training during, so when ash leaves Alola, she will already be a better performer, and they can be TOGETHER! PLEASE! They really have to.😭 I want her to return after Sun and Moon tho, I don’t like the animation for it, hopefully the XY animation returns with Serena

Alola and Hoenn (or wherever else Serena goes) are meant to be growth periods for both him and Serena. Ash nearly won in the league in Kalos, and Serena came pretty close to winning Kalos Queen. Ash goes to Alola to go to school and grow, Serena is basically doing the same in Hoenn. I think Ash and Serena are basically mirror images of one another, the same in many ways, but also very different. I think they both needed time to better themselves. But whether or not she returns in Gen 8, or not, we will see. But I think when she does return, it will definitely be a sign that something big is about to happen.
