This is a nice list. It makes sense that the closest to canon love interest was introduced in a region based on France. I like to think that Ash likes Serena too, but doesn't know it because of how dense he is. The childhood friend romance trope has always been one of my favorites.

At this point, i dont think its about how dense he is, cuz first of which, hes new to this and doesnt know how to react, so during the final episode, when the thing between serena and ash happened, i bet, he didnt know how to react because it was all sudden, thats why he stood still, now from my experience, a dense person would usually say "what just happened?", but instead of asking, he just smiled and acted confident, which isnt surprising since xy ash is meant to be the serious and confident version of ash, so to make it clear, he probably does know it, but because of how new he is to these kinds of things, he doesnt know how to potray his feelings, though its just an assumption really, damn this was long

I really hope they bring Serena back in the series.. its like there is a void which is still not filled up.. misty replaced by may, may by dawn etc it didnt affect us in that manner, but serena just had a big impact in terms of ash and even individually that its hard to forget her...

I love Amourshipping because both Ash and Serena have great development during the series, especially benefitting from each other. Serena became a stronger, better person through Ash and he learns plenty from her too. Also, her canon crush is super cute! I used to ship Pokeshipping with my life, but XY is my favorite series of all time and Amour is my favorite ship ♥️

Honestly I love this ship so much. I only ship Ash and Serena and I really want her to come back. I will be super depressed if she doesn't and I will never watch another Pokemon anime unless it's good and Serena is in it. I want more romantic things to happen between them and I really hope they can date each other. It'll make my life complete. But I love this video so much and it made me so happy :) Great vid 10/10

I'm also an Amourshipper, and the way you described the kiss made me like that episode (and that scene in general) better. Also, I did some research, and the storyboard writers said that Serena is the girl for Ash and you should expect her to show up in future series

Man I can’t believe it’s been 1 year since the the kiss happen. I remember doing my best to keep in my fanboying due to school but I kept smiling a dorky grin that whole day XD. Seemed like it was just yesterday. Wish I could go back and relive it again tho :3 Overall both our Top 5 lists are the same only some places swapped and I included XY 59 with 60 and included the entire Cosplay episode. In the episode no. 59 of XY- "Under the Pledging Tree" it's said that if you gift some pokemon or a person(Person is not said but it's kinda obvious) the bond between them grows and ash gave serena the ribbon under the pledging tree hence resulting in strengthening of his and serena's bond there are strong leaks that she is coming back on 14th Feb

I really enjoyed this video. The development of Serena and Ash's relationship is Simply Amazing. Amourshipping is the best shipping that the Pokemon Creators had ever done. Since when they first met to the kiss scene in the last episode, it has grown to be one of Pokemon's finest creations.

Earlier today: It's a regular school Friday. :( After watching KZfaq: Wait... so it's the 1st anniversary of the Kiss scene and there's gonna be a Dora the Explorer movie??? ( I'll deal with that movie later...) It doesn't feel that long ago since that happened between Ash and Serena, I still remember my reaction and my friends reactions too. I still wonder what went into Ash's mind when she kissed him though. BTW, great video on these moments. :)

Most of us don't hate misty but we feel Ash and Serena should end up together because they are soo cute together! But pokeshippers just hate serena for no reason just because she likes ash! They comment all kinds of toxic stuff and offend the amourshippers and if the amourshippers react back...they calls amourshippers toxic.... Well even the pokeshippers will be butthurt if we comment retrad things about misty... Pokeshippers actually create hate for other characters because they can't stand stand seeing anyone else liking ash! Misty might have been the first girl to like ash that doesn't mean only she deserves to end up with ash... Nostalgia shouldn't be a factor when it comes to love!!
