Obviously, Barty has a bigger game and all the weapons, but the mental toughness of Kenin is what really made a difference in this match, she's like a more powerful version of Martina Hingis.

Not really more powerful. And Hingis had a far better tennis IQ.. and better volleys. But Kenin may still improve, of course.

Barty mostly struggles against power game . She just loved her zone of slices and slow game approach.

97 Hingis was not less powerful than Kenin in any regard, Barry does not possess all the weapons she’s got a weak backhand

Kenin has her own power and does fine with it. Barty isn't known for her power or aggression, if we're talking tennis styles.

Opponents underestimate just how good Sonya is tactically, what an effective return she has to Ash's slice and how good her own chop spin is. A very good match by both women, but Barty got stuck with the same return far too often. Best player won. Go Sonya...

Loved that match. Just no quit in either of them. It was Kenin at her apex during that tournament. She's looking so far at the Championships.

Barty is one the classiest players on the tour. She’s pure sportsmanship even in defeat.

@@capitanboss Have you played it before? If yes, how long? I played it competitively for years until Lyme Disease caught up with me--I didn't know I had it until some damage was noticed and done. But playing this sport can add a little appreciation for it. It is truly a real work out. I like watching Steffi Graf, Martina Hingis, Jennifer Capriati, Monica Seles and others, too. The 1990's had some amazing matches, too, not to mention Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras and a few others.

@@markuse3472 OHH MANN, so sorry to hear that, my ex- got it and I didn't know about it up to then, it is really common disease and crazy too!! I play as a hobby non=an expert, and I'm getting better so I like to challenge myself and learn from these Gods of tennis!! Remember, overcome the obstacle don't stare at it! ( Meaning that no matter what, you still have potential and that as hard as it looks you might be awesome to so many other things)

honestly i think there was never a female tennis player playing as beautiful as barty. she has elements of roger. I mean what a beautiful forehand and slice on the backhand! If this is the new standard on women tour i probably will get interested in watching a bit more of the women games...

She struggled with her first serve . Only got it in 50 percent and she couldn’t get the first serve in those set points

I love the way everyone is now loving Kenin. Last year it was Batty . Some years back it was Serena Williams . Now almost everyone hates Serena Williams 😂 💯 Wait until they learn the tricks of Kenin . WTA this day is nothing...Very boring worst generation WTA Players ever everyone...It was beyond belief where all players are not competitive and agressive...I have no interest in watching womens game now...I miss all those retired players like Dementieva , Sharapova , Safina and all...These days all WTA players have no quality and class
