I was thinking of a crossover story where both Ash, Liko, and Jimmy from Pokémon Legends will have an exciting final battle against Team Rocket and many other past and current villains. Then we get Ash to reveal his romantic feelings for Serena.

Okay, this comment is for all of those people who are complaining about Liko being the new protagonist instead of Ash continuing the role in Pokemon. Yes, we all know Ash and we all love Ash, but you've all already had Ash for over 20 years. Ash's story arc is finally finished, so please just let him move on, enjoy his happy ending, and have a chance to finally age, and let Liko have a turn with the main spotlight. Besides, there's always a chance that Ash might get a cameo or even a companion role with Liko later in the series or in any future Pokemon movies.

I think you are right in saying that ash’s time has past but I think that most people in the community are just looking for a full rap up to his story because the way they ended it for ash had a lot of loose ends

I’ve just realized something. We see Ash’s mom but never see his dad but we also see Liko’s dad but never see her mom. This is just my opinionated theory but I think it’s possible that they could in some way be siblings. Whether step siblings or sibling siblings. I guess it’s possible but not likely. But more likely than you may think. Families tend to keep secrets so maybe something happened between Ash’s parents and caused them to split up leading to the mother take Ash and the father take Liko and furthermore both parents keeping Ash and Liko being siblings a secret and not telling them that either existed. I guess it’s possible but also unlikely due to the fact that we get almost no hints to them being siblings in both Ash’s journeys and Liko’s current journey. Either way, we can only speculate and assume things right now.

I will never understand why they chose to write a completely different show with different characters instead of giving us an adult ash(17-18) series. That would not only still keep some of the OG fans but it would also leave room for past companions to reunite and past events to revisit. Ash being more grown up, maybe he'll deal with more challenging tasks and a new end-goal. I didn't watch horizons and to be honest Liko seems like a good character, but what made pokemon so famous was Ash and pikachu in the first place. Going this route seems very risky for the show-runners and it isn't looking like it is paying off.

It likely because cost of production way over budget limit That's why they never did Galar season If voice actor is already famous and an singers It would pretty damn expensive.... at least they didn't kill the Character immediately like happened to Character that voiced by TM Revolution singer Takanori Nishikawa Character Miguel Aiman and Heine Westenfluss in Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny that killed in just few episodes due it's Frickin damn expensive

Because Ash was around for 20+ years and they gave him the title of world champion. Aging him up would give them maybe one more series at most so its better to try something new while letting Ash go out on a high note. It would be a waste if Ash never appears again, but trying come up with a whole new series for a character whose been around as long as him is harder than introducing new protags who they can freely create to wrap a story around. The simple answer is they just felt like it was time to move on.

Because the Anime needed a change. Ash had been around for 20+ years as his 10 year old little self. If they age him up and the fans hate it they can’t age him back down. So instead they went with entirely new characters. That way they can still go back to Ash if Horizons fails. (Although I think I heard Liko is well received in Japan?)

I think Ash is in the same universe more for real life reasons. The Ash era of the pokemon anime is almost 30 years old over a 1000 episode multiple movies and spin-offs. you can't just throw that away. They're probably waiting to make a Crossover until the Liko era is old enough to have its own Legacy especially because Horizon is much more story focused

I didn’t watch horizon but the fact that liko is aiming to be a pokemon master like ash mean we might get a series where they travel together and become pokemon master together because if like is doing her journey the same time ash is then that means they could meet at the end of their own journey and start one where they go together

Yes, It could be possible that Ash and Liko belongs from different timeline or universe because, during Ash's journey we never get to heard about indigo academy where Liko is now studying which actually locate in viridian city. Even in pokemon journeys series it is only mention that new gym was going to open in viridian but they didn't mentioned about any new academy. May be it could be possible that this academy was opened after Ash became master champion or it could be possible that this academy only exist in alternate universe where Liko's story is now showing. I really don't understand why nobody knows about famous world champion. Even Ash interacts with many people during his journey but we can't get to see any one of them. It is really difficult to know about pokemon timeline because of so much mess.

I wish Ash Ketchum will ever come back in Pokémon Horizons The Series! You know why? Because he left the Pokémon anime & we all miss him so much. Well, That Ash was leaving the Pokémon Series, That was one of the biggest news & saddest moments of my full life! I said to Ash that this is not over yet, Because he & me will meet on the battlefield again. As a result, After I heard that Ash was leaving the Pokémon anime, I cried so hard for the PokéMaster & that broke my place in my heart. The more times I think back about Ash, The more I miss him so much... 😔😢

Honestly maybe it because of the amount of fanfics I've read with this plot but my headcannon is Ash is still out there adventuring maybe even challenging the Paldea league but the reason why he isn't mentioned is because people don't know where he is because he tries to stay on the down low even wearing disguises so he can travel around without being swarmed by people/the media considering he world Monarch it would make sense for people to be super interested in what he doing.

I think if they decide to bring Ash back, they'll probably bring him into the show for short period(s) of time during the anime, and it wouldn't be as the protagonist. Could probably be a sort of motivation or experience for the characters, and leave later on having given them something

It would be so awesome to see Ash to return in Horizons Series and it may be the final chapter for him and his Pikachu too, but that doesn't mean they are gone forever. So they would bring Ash back maybe as support character in this Horizons Series and when he does, he would like visit to Paldea and do Terastal Training too, so Ash will get his own Terastal too. And Liko, Roy & Dot will meet him too and perhaps like learn things from Ash like... Finding your own goals and perhaps learn the word... "Never give up until it's over", especially that Ash would have Liko & Friends including Rising Volt Tacklers to stop Explorers including Gibeon. And speak of Rising Volt Tacklers, Ash's Pikachu & Friede's Captain Pikachu would become Friends and Rivals too and perhaps Pikachu could learn something from Cap like how to fly like he did before when Friede first met and saw, cause that would be cool, if it happened. So Ash should come back one day, when the time comes.

Even if they are from different worlds/timelines, whos to say Ash and Liko cant meet one another? After all, there are more than enough pokemon out there capable of crossing worlds and changing timelines.

It's such a shame we have a series with so much potential with how the story is original, but all the videos we get are "ash comes back???". What about theory videos on what that substance friede was looking into? Or how the boss of explorers is still around, if immortality is a plot point in pokemon. If they do end up bring ash back, I hope they make him a side character like how Ash's friends were, and I hope one of the pokemon he brings back is both his Charizard and his Dusk Lycanroc, it'd make sense since those 2 were the MvPs for most of his journey, plus the interactions with murdock's rockruff and ash's lycanroc, plus have Goh be with him since Goh's journey isn't over yet, he still has yet to actually catch mew

Everyone talking about different timelines, but what about a different universe? It’s proven in the anime that there are alternate universes like the mirror universe in X and Y, why can’t that be the case? What if there is a multiverse and Red, Ash, and Liko are all part of different universes. Universes with dopplegangers but maybe in some of them, Ash never became a known person in the world and maybe some other people didn’t either Well people have mentioned it but their so set on timeline instead of multiverse
