There seems to be some confusion so let me make things more clear. This is NOT a part of the Zanoverse and is meant to be more of a movie then anything else. This was a story I wanted to tell but just didn’t have the time to tell in the Zanoverse. Regardless I hope you enjoyed it!

Having Volo be a companion is actually a pretty smart choice. It makes his betrayal have more impact than if he just occasionally appeared like he does in the game.

Big fan of the decision to make Volo a travelling companion for the first half of the story, it makes the betrayal more effective and I do love an effective betrayal. This video was quite a ride!

I liked how Volo was handled in this. From his friendship with Ash and Akari, to his betrayal and showing his true colors, to Arceus giving him a second chance. This was a great video.

Nicely done! As much as I'm tired of the constant Cynthia fanservice, I'll admit having Volo as the Brock/Cilan/Clemont of the group made sense, also making the betrayal more impactful. My only gripes were Ash not getting any Pokémon of his own, Volo apparently being Cogita's son, and everyone losing their memory of Ash after he returns home - they essentially got what Volo rightfully deserved when they did no wrong. I'm guessing it's because of preventing disruptions in the past having knowledge of the future, but it's still a bummer.

This is so good, I really like how you made Akari a traveling companion for Ash. I really wish Hisui actually got an arc in journeys. Journeys was literally the best series to have Ash sent back in time. It would have been cool if Ash got an hisuian pokemon in Journeys. If journeys did send ash back in time then in the present day the episodes could go back and forth and have Goh, Chloe and Dawn try to figure out what happened to Ash. Then during the finale they could connect them. It does seem that Horizons may give Hisui more shine. Hopefully Liko catches an hisuian growlithe to mirror her grandmother. The only bad thing about this video is that it’s not real! Great video!

This isn't the first time ash has travel through time which would be interesting but I think the most is how the story plays out from start to end as the people and pokemon can withstand the test of time and I think the proof of that is the pokemon he obtain along the way

Cool and if it's okay if your taking requests I have a few ideas. 1. What if Red is Ash's father 2. What If Brock and Misty never left Ash 3. What if in Pokémon Horizons takes place in the future follows the adventures of Ash's son 4. What if Ash started out with both Pikachu and Charmander 5. What if Ash mega evolved his Charizard (Mega X) 6. What if Ash and Alan are brothers

Such a beautiful saga! If this were to be an actual anime event unlike the Arceus Chronicles, then inbetween the fights, there would be some side episodes with the gang throughout their travels. Ash could train Akari in battling and assisting in survey tasks, even encounter other Alphas. Akari could also teach Ash how to catch Pokemon the way the Galaxy Team does it. Even encountering the Wardens, and seeing Ingo again, can lead to some shenenagins with the Miss Fortune Sisters, Vessa and Spiritomb, and the Ride Pokemons Wyerdeer, Ursaluna, Basculegion, Sneasler, and Hisuian Braviary. Think of all the possibilities!

This is an awesome retelling of the events of Legends Arceus framed around an Ash Ketchum journey. I especially like how Volo's characterization is handled, fleshing out his motivations, highlighting the clashing moralities between him and the heroes, and making his sudden heel-face turn make a lot more sense and not come entirely out of left field like it does in-game. (Also, did the video skip over Noble Lilligant, or did I just blank out when it showed up?)

I loved how this was put together! For a one off adventure this was a lot of fun. It made me want a more fleshed out journey for Ash in Hisui! Great job!

And Zanoverse continues.

I like how Ingo is missing. It makes sense in an anime perspective because Ash has already met Ingo, and doing so in Hisui would make things more complicated. The downside to this is that Ash wouldn't meet Sneasler, but to be fair, he did not meet much of the Hisuian forms, which would make much sense.

I personally would have ash have his the legend of Arceus starters but I guess this is following Journeys rules so I get why still great (also we all know in some way somehow if this was official Team Rocket would 100% be here also goh be shove in there just cuz)

Amazing video bro! I’m finally watching this and I loved the story here. I like how it plays out similar to the games, but having Volo be an actual companion gives so much more weight to his betrayal later on. And I like how you really go deeper into his motivations here. Great job!

This is an Epic What If Story, amazing job Zanolith! It looks like this story takes place during Pokemon Journeys since he's a research fellow. I figured that Ash would mistake Akari for Dawn which would make sense since she's Dawn's ancestor, it also makes sense that he would realize that Volo and Komado are the ancestors of Cynthia and Professor Rowan. It's nice that Akari is going to be Ash's partner similar to what it's like with Goh. I was surprised that Volo was going to accompany Ash and Akari making him a traveling companion, which is an interesting choice. Akari being the catcher and having the goal of completing the Pokedex is very similar to Goh, which makes sense since Legends Arceus is more about catching Pokemon than batting. For the battles between the Noble Pokemon where Ash and Akari are the battlers and Volo provides support by resupplying them with balms. I really like that and I wish that game would have done something like that. Making Akari a more experienced trainer and battler makes sense if she is going to be Ash's partner and giving her the three hisuian starters and having them fully evolved allows her to be on par with Ash even though he just has Pikachu. It also makes sense why Ash isn't catching any Pokemon here which makes sense because once this was over he would have to release them and he probably can't any of them come with him. I see that Ingo isn't in here which makes sense in this What If, cause Ash would know that it's him and wonder why he is there as well. I really like how Volo explained his thoughts to Ash, it shows that he got close with Ash and Akari throughout their journey. Similar to the game, Ash is banished from the village assuming Ash is the cause of this, I also like Akari's reaction to Ash getting banished, it shows how close she and Ash have become. Volo's betrayal was expected but it was really effective, since he traveled with Ash, they got close with each other which really shows later. I always thought that Volo should have been the main antagonist during the main story of the Legends Arceus game, not a Post game boss, this is a massive improvement! This also shows how the worst things are sometimes done with good intentions, unlike in the game where Volo was pure evil, here you can understand Volo intentions, but he is doing it in the wrong way. I like how Ash remembers the Red Chain due to his encounter with Cyrus and Team Galactic and his experience is going to help in this situation. I really like how we see Volo's true colors and that due to his adventure with Ash and Akari that he truly does care about them and that they are his friends, this does make Volo a much better character to me. I like how despite everything Volo has done, Arceus gives him a second chance. I like how Ash and Akari gave each other a high five similar to him and Dawn. The goodbye was very touching showing the bonds beyond time and space. I'm definitely going to check the rest of your What If stories and look forward to the new ones to come.

Volo's character here was interesting. He felt even more terrifying as a villian. The only disappointment I had with this movie was Ash not catching any Pokémon. I thought it would have been cool to see him catch some Hisuian Pokémon.

Can you do a video on what a version of the movie I Choose You but set in the Canon universe would look like. I was thinking about this since Netflix added Distant Blue Sky to the English version of To Be A Pokemon Master.

I think like a good set of pokemon to capture in the hinsui are kleavor, hinsui sneasel, wyhrdeer, hinsui liligent and hinsui zaoroak and maybe some extras if Ash was able to break the time and space and catch Pokemon that exist in the past or future or uncharted territories.

Gogonna be honest this special kinda felt like a nothing burger nothing gained nothing lost i feel like ash should have at least caught 1 hisuian Pokemon to bring back cause that would make this part have a permanent impact on the story and i get not focusing on certain aspects of the main game and not including ingo i still felt like there should have been something gained from this tho i feel we might meet akari as an old woman in journeys that is highly unlikely

This was okay, but it was a little underwhelming. The ending was sad but understandable, but there should have been an epilogue scene. Not to mention Ash apparently didn't catch any pokemon in Hisui, and it felt sorta odd for Akari to have all three Hisuian starters; I know Ash has had multiple starters over the years, but at least he had the adventures to explain how he got them and bonded with them Not to mention the story was too short and lacked detail. It followed the game's story too closely without fleshing out Ash's personal experiences throughout it all to make it more appealing or interesting Overall, I give this fic a 7/10, a story worth ones time but definitely could have been more

This is a sweet, what-if series that can keep the audience company in the meantime as the Journeys rewrite appears in Spring of 2024.

Ash has all three Hisui starters, so having one of them evolve would have done the job.

12 minutes in and I already ship Ash and Akari what is wrong with me.

I dont want to be rude, but i prefer this idea NOT to happen, since Ash did TECNICALLY went back in time in ancient Sinnoh/Hisui in the one of the DP movies.
