I feel like he was more into her than she was into him. Ashanti wasn’t the only woman he was dealing with. He was dealing with multiple women. Along with dealing with her on the side. So I think that’s what confuses her. How was he so invested when he was messing with multiple people besides her. Besides the sexual relations she’s had with him when she was young meeting him for the first time at 15. That's it. She's embarrassed and regrets it now. Even his wife admitted to that in Ashanti‘s defense.

He still in a good place and I feel the real fall of his label was when he let Ashanti go or wasn't feeling her support any longer. He loved her genuinely in his way. She did him for the business. Let's keep it real. The reason Irv got to be with Ashanti is because he was dangling the career over her head. He abused his position as a label boss to sleep with Ashanti and various women. Now that he ain't in the spotlight, he using her name to gain interest in the public eye. I hate when people word it this way. They were in a relationship. Dates, sex etc. Maybe it wasn't the typical "relationship" people popularized. But trust there are many forms to a relationship. Ashanti is no saint by a long shot. She knew she was fly and wanted by her boss and given lavish gifts, leeway as an artist and who knows what else. But she's nothing compared to Irv Gotti who is a narcissistic beta male. Power, fame and envy even after they were done. Irv comes across as a lame and if she's saying the truth about the death threats and her demise then he needs his ass whooped.
