Support Ashanti's latest single "Sayless": itunes.apple.com/us/album/say...
A music documentary on Ashanti was highly requested, so I had to do it. Ashanti is a multi-platinum selling R&B singer and songwriter who is most known for her top hits "Foolish", "Always on Time", and "Rock Wit U." Ashanti still holds the world record of having the fastest selling debut album by a female artist (her album "Ashanti" sold 503,000 in the first week). She is the first female artist to have all 3 of her debut songs peak to the top ten Billboard charts, simultaneously. Ashanti's rapid rise to success was followed by a huge obstacle. Her music label Murda Inc, faced several setbacks, including being investigated by the government and being ridiculed by 50 Cent and G-Unit. Ultimately the issues with her label contributed to Ashanti's fall from the top spot.

I also lost mad respect for her as well. So, we have came to the conclusion that J-Lo really can’t sing and she just have a pretty face. Now I’m about to go and listen to J-Lo songs and see if I hear Ashant lol!! This chick used her voice twice, I wouldn’t be surprise she used her voice over other songs. See, women like J-Lo can’t be trusted! Everyone knew she was no good when Sne bounced on Diddy when he was convicted of that incident I believe happened in the club. J-Lo went to acting because her butt can’t sing!!!

At least Ashanti received a Grammy, started her own record label and owns her records masters, and JLo doesn’t have a Grammy. This is why JLo sounds different on every song, because it's always somebody else singing. I love Ashanti, she’s a friend to me with a beautiful voice and personality. If you get to know Ashanti personally she’s one of the most down to earth people in the world. She kicks it with everyday people when most celebrities won’t.

Ashanti is a good singer but she still needs a lot of vocal lessons. Beyoncé is a better vocalist and dancer . Even if Ashanti did have better management, she still wouldn’t be at Beyoncé’s level. But she still sang better than JLo which is why they let her lip sync over Ashanti’s voice .

If Irv was smart he would have placed his money on her and pushed her to the forefront because Ashanti had that "it" Factor HOWEVER Beyonce was already in line to take over the scene since Destiny's Child. Selina's death made Jlo. Jlo was already bigger than Ashanti thats why Jlo was given Ashanti's songs and Ashanti herself was irrelevant to Irv. Ashanti's songs however did keep Jlo relevant in the music scene cause by then Jlo's music career was second fiddle to her acting career. If you were up to date during that time, it was clear that Jlo didn't care much about the music anymore even alienating herself away from her Latin fans, the industry was changing (or degenerating slowly into the trash of today) and her focus was more into doing movies but she still needed to milk her music career while she could cause money is always nice and nothing brings in more easy money than gullible uneducated ghetto people who think they "woke" and have "street smarts" but in reality are just brain dead sheep.

She does not have a Grammy, like a plenty of artists out there who really are talented out there, but she does have a longevity. Unlike Ashanti (unfortunately). Music awards versus longevity. And I am not even a Jlo fan.

Ashanti is another example of a resilient strong black woman who pushed thru trials & tribulations that came her way so she could continue to do wat she loved. I've got nothing but respect & admiration for Ashanti 🎤👑✊🙂✌.
