Hey Narc, great video. What do think of my 'Weak Server' idea? IDEA: How about the server you start with is the 'Unique title' you get when creating a character. When a server mergers, you get to keep your original server title to reflect your roleplay history. Example: Character Name, Realm of [server name]. > I could imagine having to move servers and see another player while out adventuring that I don't know with my 'Server Realm Title' - what a great way to create a common bond.

This AMA really made me even more excited for the game. Not only did it answer some of my own questions, but there are also multiple types of weapons for one damage type. Like a mage can use more than just a magical staff, or a book. There's melee staffs so you can smack people with STICKS! YES! The more and more I learn about this game and how it works the more excited I become, and it further solidifies my belief that this game will be great. They WANT it to be great, they're working so hard to make sure that it is going to achieve their lofty goals. They get community feedback, they go and read comments on content creator's videos. Like...literally Intrepid are everything I could want in a company and studio, I can't wait to play this game. And my hype for it is only going to skyrocket from here as they keep revealing more mechanics and classes.

I hope the game rewards exploration. Makes it actually worth it and not just randomly generated, sellable items. Also I want to be a pirate. So the lack of fast travel sounds nice. Means more ships crossing the seas...hnnnngggg

This AMA was easily the best question answering session they've done so far, although the amount of depth that is planned for each system makes me think of the enormous amount of time, that we will have to wait for Ashes to be complete and ready for launch. As Steven said himself - it is very important to have a lot of content for the systems, and it seems that there needs to be atleast 5 expansions worth of content (if we consider an average amount of content in MMO's) at the launch, just to sufice these big land and ocean masses and depth of each system that is finished or planned. Overall, my best dreams are that they have shown us much less than what they actually have, and that they have a good enough working tools, to add this content as fast and as easy as humanly possible. *CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS GAME TO BE RELEASED MEGAHYPE!!!!!!*

Great content again I had a good laugh. I think they should have some treasure locations random around the server that could go a year until it is found, underground cave where the entrance is hidden in a lake with vegetation covering it, and you get some really cool items.

How rare is it to have a hard core MMORPGer develop a MMORPG. Steven has a PHD in MMO's. Playing all kinds of MMORPGs. It is so damn nice to have cutting edge graphics mixed with the best of GW2, BDO, ESO, Arch Age, and others added to the perfect MMORPG. I really appreciate the fact that when he talks about exactly what he wants to see in Ashes he has example after example of what game did it right and which ones did not. People don't have this depth of knowledge unless they have really played many MMORPGs for a lot of time. It is so nice to have a kit loadout with 15-20 options. 35 choices per class to start with. Tank, Healer, DPS, and Utility mean something in this game. I have confidence that Steven will deliver. As long as the game launches with a solid core foundation that works right out of the box for Combat, Movement, content, an end game, housing, Market Economy, and Crafting all the other icing on the cake expansion content that need to be added can be added over time like in every MMORPG.

I don’t know how complete this game is, but it’s for sure a real game that’s happening and hopefully with a living world it’s really important that nodes work correctly. I pray the class combinations do end up being a little unique for each combo. I hope a battlemage can tank but I hope his damage would be higher than a pure tank/fighter combo vs a tank/cleric combo.

Omg. I've been kinda 'meh' over the last 2 love steams. But this gave me so much hopium. * 35-40 active skills per archetype (remembering that each has at least 65 variants!) * 12-15 skills per build (means two clerics of the same class might be very different) * confirmed more processing - cooking and woodworking especially * confirmed that classes will feel very different, and might even change the role. Augments won't just be 'minor tweaks' but will completely change the way each plays. There were other things too that I don't recall off the top, but the hype just got real.

This world looks massive. Hope they can fill it up and make it feel alive, and also make sure those of us that don't want PVP, can play the game. if they can do that and actually release this game, it will crush Pantheon and any hope they had of getting more than 20K players to stick around.

Narc is spoiling us rotten. I for sure thought he was gonna milk the AMA questions for two weeks instead of fitting it all into one video!

I hope the areas have different level mobs in different areas, but it could be that stronger enemies are either near built up nodes OR near unbuilt ones due to no "hero" interference. I do prefer to have giant mobs that will wreck your face if you are low level and you need to come back to them at a later level, maybe a camp of strong enemies or an influence in the area. Lots of different ways to look at it but it makes "low level areas" still populated instead of everyone near the 1 end map like every other game for example Archeage. I am very excited to see what systems they come up with. As for the ships etc siege, it sounds super fun and if we could have some siege weapons on boats etc. I think it would be fun and something VERY new, thinking of game of thrones type of thing when they come from the sea to king's landing. If they had canals like Venice, possibly small boats could travel down them to act like ladders or siege towers to get small groups into the city/castle.

One of my most important question on to AoC would be: are combat and jobs class on the same eye level or is every player at first a fighter and at second as many job classes they like? Because I hate the last one and miss the days where job classes where all as important as combat classes and not a activity everyone does. It also should be able that players can be at first for example a blacksmith and at second or even third a fighter. That adds much more to the RPG in MMORPG and makes room for more roleplay / social interaction as well. But what I heard this MMO want to be much more social based.

Not to sound too sad there is only one thing I want from Ashes of creation on top of what they already offer, and that is the collections quests we had in EQ2 , I literally played EQ2 for that reason alone and later I discovered I was not the only one, lots of other people were suckers for this quests too... I guess the need to collect and complete collections is in our genes, it felt so rewarding when you complete your collections of stones, feathers, and so on and receive a reward for it... all I can tell is that we as humans have a need to hoard and collect lol

Since this is a pvp heavy game, you need 20, or more, slotted abilities, to make it a high skill ceiling. That doesn’t mean core abilities cant be streamlined for easier play, just not maximum output. That and break out of CC’s, interrupts, stuns, leapbacks, speed boosts, dodge boosts, shielding, stances, charges, dps boosts, buffs, variety of attacks, summons, stealth, and so on…all need to be on our bars. The more you limit all that, the more we will have smoke and mirror choices for character builds because the META will be obvious since you can only slot so much, taking away from unique builds that require more options.

I'm assuming he means that for example, if you're a ranger, there will be a passive skill that helps you identify friends or foes at longer ranges. This same skill may NOT be available on a fighter or cleric however. That's my speculation, and I personally love the idea since it builds class identity, like how mages in vanilla WoW made portals and that made them very unique and helpful even outside of combat.

Coming from BDO the open pvp Ashes claims to boast has me giddy with excitement. HOWEVER, also coming from BDO, there WILL be the cries of snowflakes in abundance. I know from experience.

I'm sure it'll launch with huge numbers. What those numbers are a year later will be much more important. About nodes destroyed in a siege. Can people rebuild that node somehow or is it just permanently now the PvP zone they mention?

Hopefully this game is as great as im expecting it to be. the amount of Hype that is coming from these monthly reports is intense. I just hope they dont pull a no mans sky at launch. Also Hopefully the servers are ready for the 1mil+ amount of people that are expected to log in week 1. I dont want to be sitting in a 20hour queue waiting..

alchemy has a weird classification, it's in the processing group but I'd assume you could use the potions as well, there is no "potion making" in the production group only arcane engineering (that sounds more like enchanting) and scribing. to me it should have been something like Herbalism > distillation > alchemy or Herb > alchemy > Potion Making
