I have seen many genshin or non honkai players's theories about the connections between the honkai verse and the genshin verse but you're the first to dive deep into the lore of honkai and even bring up the imaginary tree along with the events only happen in the honkai second eruption manga. A few things here i just want to throw out with no clear connection-- Celestia reminds me of Schicksal HQ from Honkai. The Ruin Guards, Hunters & Graders are reminiscent of Mechas from Honkai. The whole schtick of an ancient civilization that once prospered, that eventually fell into ruin-- reminds me of the plot of the Previous Era in Honkai... Regardless, I'd say both the Honkaiverse & Genshinverse share the same multiverse. However, at the time of this writing, there is no real connection between them until the plot advances forward, enough to establish that both worlds (or more) are indeed connected. Until that day comes, we can only dream...

my personal theory is that the traveler and their sibling ARE the ark, just with a humanoid form and that teyvat is just another "planet" of sorts that they need to figure out if itll be inhabitable for humanity. also, the sustainer of heavenly principles may be teyvats version of the herrscher of the void! we know the traveler has been in teyvat for over 500 years at least, which would also explain why project ARK stopped responding.

I hope it's like ggz and honkai where the characters still have the same appearance and name, but they're different characters with their own story, character development, goals etc etc. that way honkai players can use their favorite characters but genshin players who haven't played honkai wont feel left out

Actually, I believe that the opening screen IS infact Celestia - we know that the nail on top of Dragonspine comes from Celestia, and if you wait long enough in the opening screen, you will see a pillar that looks very similar to the nail on Dragonspine!

I feel that the Ark is Aether and Lumine. The Ark could seen as a ship, but I feel that the Ark could be seen as a vessel, and not a literal ship. Aether and Lumine are the vessels, which is why they transverse many worlds. The Ark going “missing” is Aether and Lumine becoming trapped in the world of Genshin Impact. I don’t know much about Honkai Impact so idk if that’s accurate.

My theory is genshin is when humanity takes full control of the herrschers removes the existence of honkai in the world, rebuilding it to the start, without honkai existence, the progression of technology is lax as seen in genshin with some how primitive because of lack of needs to evolve machines and human lean towards enhancing their use of magic that the herrschers gifted thus the used of different element types. I always see honkai impact references madoka, so I combine the idea.

AMBER that program to preserve human knowledge in honkai impact says it has to be brought to new worlds/settlements for humanity if they lose that knowledge. In the 2nd story quest of Zhongli at the end of that quest he says that the traveler needs to take the knowledge of liyue and it’s people to other worlds as the traveler travels from worlds to worlds. He also said the traveler needs to use that knowledge as a back up if the knowledge of liyue and its people will be “forgotten” 0-0

I don't think Teyvat itself is Project ARK, I think the TWINS are Project ARK. What we know about them matches, and you drew the parallel of twin stars in the sky. I also think that Genshin is a partial precursor to Honkai, taking place around the start of the latter and ending before the events of the new 4.9 update. By that I mean that the end of Genshin will lead straight into 4.9 with Otto Apocalypse being the final boss and the explanation of how Fischl and Keqing end up on the Honkai planet. Edit: Welp the last part about 4.9... didn't happen as expected. Forget that. But now I think that Genshin is more of a sequel, which will (eventually) explain how Kiana was cloned while floating in the Sea of Quanta before ending up in Genshin's world. However, Kiana was possessed by the latent Honkai energy here, and her clone, who turned out male because of an unknown error, went on to found two godless cities... yeah I think he's Dainsleif. But then Kiana and Dainsleif learn that this world is going to end up as a copy of Earth, so eventually Kiana breaks free and her, Dainsleif, Aether, and Lumine with together to prevent the worlds from becoming the same.

if we assume that the Tevyat is one of the projects and it carried information about honkai and how to combat it, then Celestia as main rulers of the Tevyat might be trying to avoid it instead of fighting it. This might be the reason for its unique success in the first place. There are archons in each region that protect said land. Of course there are Sea monsters, dragons and Fatui to take care of, but their main responsibility might be keeping honkai away, as they are under Celestias rule. For example, contacts that early liyue citizens made with morax might have had points about not crossing a certain line in technological advancement (People of Monstad were kept too busy drinking and enslaving each other to care about building atomic reactors I guess. I have no idea how Venti regulated his people because, well, he kinda didn’t, but it seems to work. Partly, because how Albedo with his people creating knowledge is here). However, Khaenrian didn’t have a God, so they weren’t under Celestias metaphorical jurisdiction. And we can see that out all the nations they were the most advanced ones - ruin guards, teleports, art of khemia etc. Therefore, the destruction of khaenrian which travelers encountered upon their arrival was the necessary mean to keep Tevyat save. Also there is Lisa. It is said that she willingly stoped her research and after she discovered some “forbidden knowledge”. That knowledge might be existence of Honkai and she willingly gave up her studies to avoid crossing the line of “too advanced” for the greater good. This is written before 2.0 so I might be proven wrong soon: Baal, despite being a tyrant, is still an archon so protecting her own people is still her main goal. She works in the name of “eternity” - what if that “eternity” means Tevyat, or Inazuma atleast, existing forever without being destroyed by Honkai? and visions despite being the possible tool for battling honkai are commonly used for research (Lisa, Sucrose and Albedo use (or used) them for that reason, non vision holding researchers complain about it being much hardest for them to make progress, so it’s a known fact. Then why do archons give visions to scientists in the first place? Well, they might still be sure in security of their land and inventors not overstepping certain boundaries while being useful for their people. According to leaks and some shots in the trailer, with Inazuma we get new ruin guards (types + a whole boss) which I don’t think is a coincidence - someone used their vision for researching them and went too far, perhaps? And that is what caused the sakoku decree? I hope you will continue theorising in the future! thank you so much for the quality content!

It was recently discovered in one of Raiden Shogun's voicelines about Visions that these are granted by the world, or Celestia, and not by the Archons as previously thought. Interestingly, when Traveler first resonates with that first statue of Barbatos, Paimon says "the world has responded..." almost as if it's the same sort of thing. It also makes more sense than the Srchons granting Visions based on people's desires, because some of the instances where people were granted Visions are inconsistent with this. Like Keqing, Klee, and Lisa. Lisa just wanted an easy life. Klee is a freespirited girl. And Keqing? She never even wanted a Vision.

What I found interesting was that the games have one thing similar out of this, higher power getting rid of humanity. I know this could be a stretch but there could be a different version of the honkai. The god as we see from the start of genshin has very similar abilities to the abilities of the honkai. This could mean they could be the from the world of Honkai Impact 3rd.

13:15 - Actually, I could probably say that the location where the twins fight the unknown god could be the 'Imaginary Space' - a rift in reality. The architecture in that location is similar to the architecture in the main setting of Honkai's latest chapter, "Theater of Domination". This is my only, and my strongest link between the two games, as a veteran of both games. 17:04 - It's also plausible that they could be similar to Herrscher wings. Herrscher of the Void and Herrscher of Thunder have similar wings. HoV has three lances behind her, to her right, and three wings to her left. Meanwhile, HoT's wings aren't found in her current 'suit', but was shown in the comics to have existed at some point in time. It was infamously 'torn down' by a mortally wounded Kiana Kaslana, shocking the Herrscher of Thunder and bringing back the host to her senses.

For those that don't play Honkai Impact, at 8:40 at the bottom right of the screen is actually Dvalin. That blonde guy is called Otto Apocalypse, the main antagonist of the series. He research a lot of ways to defeat Honkai for the last 500 years and by using a special item known as god's key he managed to open and observe other worlds and probably the only one in Honkai series that have observed Teyvat.

And he's also similiar to Mei (Mei's brother??), he knows something. Otto was planning something... Maybe he created Teyvat (bubble universe) And, what happened to the Honkai characters?? And who are the twins??

This makes me think that maybe the unknown god isn't the antagonist, it's an older Sirin/Kiana trying to actually help Lumine and Aether. And the theory about Paimon being the unknown god may be true as well, the unknown god disguised herself as a guide to help the traveler adjust to the new world.

as a person watching this in 2023, i find 9:43 where u can find the term "the seed of sumeru" really relatable to the tree of imaginary, and this tree could also be called "Irminsul" , to support this theory the "seed of sumeru" is a vital key, since Irminsul is in sumeru, ( the dendro nation in genshin, the 4th one to be released)so the seed of sumeru refers to the seed planted in sumeru. Also the dendro archon rukadevata (srry for misspelling) have sacrificed herself to erase the forbidden knowledge K'haenriah had revealed to king deshert( the scarlet king in sumeru) and to people of teyvat, but there r still traces not in the irminsul, but some evidence is still there so... and as we can see golems in sumeru ( which i theorize as honkai monsters but teyvat edition, and i know K'haenriah created them, but maybe it's all false information cuz hoyo likes messing with us...). I'm not sure if i missed anything, but it just makes sense

Considering that Honkai Impact has different dimensions while Genshin has different worlds. Its actually possible. But if Mihoyo does do this, its gonna be a shock and it'll be so cool.

First of all, I can see that you are missing some very important information. Starting, the honkaiverse has two entities, the imaginary tree and the Sea of Quanta. The imaginary tree, like any tree, has many branches and leaves. those leaves are universes and the tree gives energy to the leaves to keep them alive. The honkai are the immune system of the tree. Their task is to test, nurture, and get rid of weak universes that can't return the energy and more the tree gives to sustain the leaf. As such, the honkai force the Civilization to forcefully evolve. Those that then beat the honkai are allowed to keep being on the tree while those that can't beat the honkai are cut off. Now, where do the cut-off leaves go? Right, the Sea of Quanta. The SOQ is in constant competition for dominance with the tree. it absorbs the fallen leaves and slowly consumes them until they vanish into nothingness at the bottom of the Sea which empowers the SOQ. Now about where Genshin belongs. Genshin is confirmed by Mihoyo to be on the tree but a different branch. That's simple as it can get. Project ARK is by no means connected to teyvat and here is the reason why. Project ARK is a space-traveling vessel tasked with bearing the human genome library deep into space to find a suitable planet. Now the reason why it can go to teyvat is because of the imaginary tree's defense system. They are called husk Nihilus and they are very powerful and can control localized time. Their task is to protect the tree and stop anyone that tries to interfere with the other leaves. The other projects aren't connected to teyvat either. Valuka was to watch other universes to find the solution to defeat the honkai and seeing as the genshin doesn't have anything relating to honkai means that Su, the person tasked with the project had no reason to watch Genshin since he needed universes that were still fighting the Honkai and finding a way to beat them.

I wanted to restart on a new Honkai Impact account thus why I searched for Honkai lore to better understand the game. This is probably the first video I've watched from your channel and I can tell you put a lot of time into it. The things I learned about honkai and it’s possible connections to genshin from this video, combined with the theories about the sky being fake, the lost twin’s dialogue in the “we will be reunited” quest, and the teyvat story preview video, are making me go INSANE. Scaramouche, dainsleif, and the other twin all talk about the truth of the world and power from beyond and stuff, and the thought of that being connected to this project ark and sea of quanta is mind-blowing- Also as a fan of no game no life I absolutely eat up any theories about the fact that the gnoses are shaped like chess pieces, so it makes me really excited that honkai also sets up some stuff with those vibes that might be connected to genshin

The answer lies fully in the Concept of the Imaginary Tree Both Honkai and Genshin are explicit universes (branches) on the Tree with their own Bubble Universes (leaves). They have no connection with each other Plot- and Lorewise. The only things they share is: -The Honkai Plague (all Worlds on the Tree are plagued by Honkai as it is a "test" of sorts for the capabillities of civilisation) -Character Similarities (SoHP - HoV/Raiden Ei - Raiden Mei/ Yae Sakura - Yae Miko/Fischl - Fischl/Venti - Wendy/ Diluc - Himeko/ Bronya - possibly the Tsaritsa) -The capabillity of "staring" into the other Worlds through the Imaginary Tree (as seen in Otto looking at Dvalin) As for Project Ark, might aswell just be the Sky People from APHO 1&2 discovering the Ship with traces of Humanity and simply destroying it in their Hunger for Honkai (that ship def runs on Honkai Reactors dont tell me otherwise) As for the Traveler and his Twin, they are Imaginary Beings of unknown purpose, as it is said that they Travel through litteral Worlds, so they are capable of traversing the Imaginary Tree without effort while someone as powerful as Otto Apocalypse had to strike a deal with the Will of Honkai, tear into Space-Time-Fabric with the 2nd Divine Key and finally traverse an entire Imaginary Space just to TOUCH the Imaginary Tree and use it to just travel Back in time and create a new Universe in which is Life-long-Love doesnt die, shows how powerful these twins are, being able to travel the Tree freely. Also notice how in the start cutscene their clothing glows white/golden and then look at Valkyries of the [Imaginary]-Type in Honkai So to return to the Answer of the Question, yes, they are connected through the Imaginary Tree, no, they are not connected in any other way.

Hi I have a college degree in Physics I studied basic Quantum mechanics. Quanta is the "things" quantum physics study. A example a quanta can be a photon or a electron, neutron, proton. Smallest packet of energy or matter. Light how we experienced it is made of a lot of photon. Matter of a lot of proton neutron or electron. So light or matter can be describe of a "Sea of Quanta". In Quantum Mechanics if you observe something really small like a quanta you always affect it. The real thing can't never be really observable.... I don't if that can help someone but I find funny expression weird like "sea of quanta" can be something as normal as light....

Unfortunately the answers wont reveal themselves for another 3 years. For when Honkai ends or Genshin is at a point where the origin of the Traveler is questioned by Tyvat inhabitants. Some REs: Embers mass backup part is prob an old token. As the world ended they either lacked the manpower or not every Pioneer was able to cut it. In any way, only 3 Pioneers survived to the new Era and only Fuhua was capable of truly continuing the task with the Divine Key bestowed upon her, holding endless amounts of memories. And Project Ark has more details. A blue print of it was shown to be a huge two part spacecraft, meant to hold the genomes. Now that doesnt necessarily throw the twin idea out the window as with Project Ember, things couldve changed from those original blue prints by the time the world came to an end, and the Moths had to improvise a plan. Also, Kevin is clearly talking about establishing contact with THEM, so its either a manned spacecraft or just a pair of Moths traveling together. But ofc, the mere existence of the blue print has a meaning, and showing it to us might be hoyos way of saying "that aint it". But naming the world in your new game "Ark" (teyvat) is indeed not without its intentions either

This is crazy!! Having now watched this after finishing the Sumeru Archon quests, so many of the things you say here STILL hold! For example, the sea of quanta is most likely those “chaotic spaces” the traveler described when he tried to leave sumeru during the archon quest. Or what about the “imaginary tree” being irminsul, the tree of divine knowledge, with the ability to rewrite time and history as we know it. A LOT more is making sense, maybe the traveler was never from tevyat but from the Honkai Impact universe and their twin was just a copy of them sent to tevyat, yet something went wrong and the traveler ended up being banished to tevyat (for unknown reasons) and got mixed up in this chase to find a twin they never even had! To make sense of their situation, maybe irminsul rewrote their memories (or someone else?) to convince the traveler their clone or copy was actually their sibling??? Idk…just a theory.

Klee's mother, Alice, might have a connection. I went a bit on a research journey after I saw a comment somewhere that mentioned that Alice talked about other worlds in her Golden Apple Archipelago dialogue. This intrigued me so I looked up Alice's wiki in hopes of finding the script because I didn't want to rewatch the entire cut scene. I didn't find the script on Alice's wiki but I found a comment with an image from the Honkai manga of Su talking to a character named Alice. The manga is Second Key 11: No Matter the Cost (Second Key also being the manga shown in this video). This Alice shown in the Honkai manga was blond with red eyes, so she did look similar to Klee. Coming back to the Golden Apple Archipelago, I eventually watched a video of Alice's dialogue and found this line: "In another world, there are tales of a wondrous island named after apples . Known by many names, it embodies the majestic vistas conjured by human fantasy". I have to wonder if the Sustainer is trying to prevent a Honkai eruption. The heavenly principles could be values that prevent Honkai events. What if the Sustainer is actually the hero here, keeping the world safe.

this is obviously now a little outdated in regards to genshin but now that i'm playing honkai impact 3rd in preparation for honkai star rail, i just find the connections between genshin and honkai so interesting. also can we talk about the fact that fischl is in both universes and she cosplays as (potentially actually is) a character that references traveling between universes.

So I know it's been two years since this video but idk if anyone ever adressed the fact that both Lumine and Aether are "witnesses" as zhong li keep calling them, that are meant to gather reports from each world project? I mean it'd make sense since the image from Dvalin shown in Honkai could be from when the traveler looked up to him as he walked to Mondstat the first time. If he's a non-human build for this purpose, he'd also be capable to resonate with the world he's traveling to, thus being able to handle elements as a vision bearer. I'm also thinking that the reason he is not in Irminsul but his sister is, probably is because his records were deleted like scaramouche's. Which would explain his partial memory loss and why he seems to be exploring Teyvat for the first time. Now that wouldn't be enough to delete his information about his actual mission and who he is which he seems to know idk to what degree since he mentions jumping from one world to the next with his sister. The reason why they were made to stay though, I believe is because Teyvat is close to achieving the goal of it's creation, that's why they couldn't leave yet and the twins were forcefully sepparated, so one would be the other's reason to comply. In a way, Aether might be a hostage trapped in Teyvat until his sister manages to fulfill a goal: either make this world triumph or be a failed experiment. I... might be thinking too much into this though. I know I make this from Aether's pov but that's because I play with him, either way same would apply to Lumine if it were from her pov in game.

2 years later with the info we got from both games this old theory got further solidifies

Teyvat is confirmed a bubble universe that exists in the Sea of Quanta of Honkai verse. Otto pointed out the existence of Dvalin when he spied in on Teyvat from Honkai verse

You guys know there’s a little message in game that says there’s supposedly a tree whose roots stretch across the entire world. I don’t think we’ve encountered it so what if it’s referring to the tree from Honkai🤓
