The Flameheart event was so amazing when it came out, the music, the experience was so amazing, it’s really good to have it back and having world event back to its former glory and diversity,but I miss being reminded that my thighs were beswindling every 2 seconds. I still love the event and always do it when it pops but I miss having flameheart there

One additional thing about the OG forts-there were also eye of reach skeletons, which were very deadly and annoying. It was much easier to die.

People always say they hated flameheart but I always liked him, him shouting insults at you just made the fight that more intense

Only thing I don't like with S9 FOTD update is them removing the 2 colours can spawn.

Would love it if they added a world event around the Sirens, Ocean Crawlers or sea monsters like the Kraken or Megalodon.

I would consider the Kraken of early days a world event because it would only spawn when no events were up. I remember waiting at forts for a new thing to spawn, so it was safe to sail the open sea... the kraken was much harder too

I'm glad that flameheart event is back now. Sad thought that our beloved skeleton lord no longer tells us about our dwindling supplies...

I like how when forts were released they had 12k gold and now there is a chest that sell for 20k

Normal forts are still my favorite world event call me nostalgic but there's just something about it that feels like a classic pirate adventure and I love it

My favourite World Event will Always remain Ashen Winds cause I picked the game Up when it came Out and me and my friend were strugelling to get it done, but man it was so amazong for the First time.And the loot was "a lot" as well. Im kinda sad about Flameheart thom

my favorite world event is probably the ashen winds. those were able to be done solo, even before season 9, so if i was bored while solo slooping, id swing by and take out the ashen lord. but in the past few weeks leading up to/beginning of season 9, ive spent a lot of time at fotd. and i have to say, when youre not interrupted by an outside crew, it is so much fun to do. plus with the correct positioning of the zippo skull, you dont even have to worry about lighting the skellies, just quickly switching the skull right as the wave starts. but the ghost fleet definitely has the best music to go along with it imo

Sea Of Thieves release skeletons honestly give me PTSD. The fucking aim of those cannons and the eye of reach skellies were better than even the sweatiest of pirates today.

I wish I was around at the start of the game to experience the vibe of a regular skeleton fort being the best option for gold and rep. Somehow I feel like the tussle over those would have been much more meaningful than the fights we have today.

Like I love that events scale now, but I also hate it because as a solo it's too easy lol

Small detail missed about Skeleton Fleets: They used to be placed around the map in different places, including the devil's roar. However I believe it was in Season 8 (can't remember but it was prior to 9) the event now only ever spawns in the middle of the map near Sea Dog Tavern.

I’d say season 9 has been my favorite update scince I started playing in the past few days of season 6 but I just love how now events scale which is nice for a solo player like me as well I can easily do them and my favorite world event is definitely ashen winds it’s just fun hoping around and all I mean I’ve only done one but the three skeleton forts I’ve done and fotd I helped someone with arnt as good

I remember vaguely playing day one, but it's a night and day experience compared to what we have now, or even a year ago when I returned. I think I played up to about eight or nine months in but as a solo, the grind was so difficult and tasking I gave up. When I came back I was about midway leveled in all three factions, so I did make progress, but getting anything done back then was a challenge.

An unexpected change but a welcome one

the fof nearly scared the pants off me the first day i played sea of thieves, I was in the middle of to find the island for an x marks the spot map when the horn went off. didn't know what was going on or if i was about to die XD

It's interesting how I started the game late enough to miss the "OG" content like the megalodon summoning and cursed sails, but I got really into the game when fishing was introduced. So I have seen some of the more major changes first hand.

As someone who hasn't played since Flameheart was hanging around on the sky, your videos are amazing at keeping me up to date on whats changed

I remember when I first downloaded the game when it came out and hopped on with some friends and my immediate reaction was just "holy shit this looks amazing" we had so much fun just goofing around and doing random shit on there but now it's way harder to have fun. You gotta be pretty good at the game to make sure you can goof around or you get butt-fucked by sweats. Personally I find no problems with this than I did at first cuz I got better at the game and now I have the most fun running reapers with the boys but I still love to do some gold hoarders with the squad or do some tomfoolery when we can

Can a FoF spawn on molten sands or lost gold fort? I have never seen a FoF spawn there so was wondering if anybody would knew.

They could add world events in connection with sea monsters like megalodon or kraken. For example their could be a megalodon event where you have to defeat every one of the four megalodon types (except the shrouded). All megalodons would drop the standard loot but the last one would drop a huge loot pile with athena items.

You forgot to mention that for a short time skelly fleets also had a variant like the fort and would be red, and also drop ashen loot, including ashen keys and chests.

Forgot the Legend of the Veil. Not really a world event until the last initial fort fight.

I always had a soft spot for Ashen Lords and the pre-2023 Ghost Fleet for the sole reason that the bosses talked back to you. Felt a lot more alive

Im suprised that they havnt made ocean crawlers and skeletons board your ship like in the pirates life tall tale, it would be cool!

Flameheart has always been my favourite world event... but It just isn't the same with the latest release, I love the balancing but I miss my giant flaming skull, at least give us something more interesting then a Lotv tornado on a diet, I'd take a screaming Stitcher Jim.

Please make a video on how items like cannon balls food items special cannon projectiles and all evolved same for tools like the trident and rowboat

All I heard was “…made it easier”, “…made it earlier” … I guess the events need to be streamlined now but I miss the old way the forts were highly sought after and the teamwork required to defeat the skeleton fleets when they launched. Hopefully they add a way to go back in time so we can replay year 1 and adventures.

The Ashen Winds is my personal favorite world event. Other world events have multiple series of waves and challenges, but with and Ashen Winds it’s an immediate boss fight. I’m not saying I don’t enjoy the other world events (I love them too). Though, I prefer this one because it’s direct and offers a totally different experience from others.

Anything with an Ashen Lord, followed by Megalodons.

Only real G’s remember when OG skele forts used to only have 1 skeleton captain as the boss wave, that money was worth it. I remember me and my friend grinding skele forts

The only event I get is the stupid ghost fleet. No skelly forts, no ashen winds. The only other one is the skelly fleet, which I prefer. Give me the FOF or anything else

Ships events had a short period of time when their clouds were red and they shot fireballs.

Honestly while some of the changes were good and it was great to see the Ghost Fleet return. But I was disappointed when I did the FoF in season 9. I felt that the challenge of it was taken away.

There's a few good things about season nine ie: separated cannon hits from the music, equaling out the fort when there's fewer players, selling the Disney sticks but after that what is there???? No new adventures/tall tales just some new chests...The preempted hype leading up to season nine made us think it was going to be magical...well, we're not impressed...They did add some skins so they could make more money. ugh 😞😒

You didn't mention how skeleton fleets can only spawn in one place now, unless I'm crazy and that's not the case.

Regardless of what others say, the changes to the events are really good and help balance out reward with time. The fof and fotd are both much more enjoyable and not bullet sponges.

Actually my least favorite world event is skeleton fleet.

Is it just me that thinks this game peaked before seasons became a thing? They've added some nice stuff afterwards but man chainshots, blunderbombs and mast damage in general really ruined the pvp experience this game offers for me. Chainshots are far too strong and easily win an engagement in less than 2 minutes and blunderbombs serve no purpose but to be annoying. All this accompanied by the removal of quick swapping guns and sword buffs to make it essentially a pirate magnet have brought the skill ceiling down to a tragic low. I think this game suffers from the lack of priority world events take over other things these days and how truly game-winning mast damage is. I often find myself getting 5 uncontested world events in a row, having to actively chase ships rocking the PvP flag for up to an hour and then ending the fight with literally 5 cannon shots at most because they can't do anything after their masts are down. There are many voyages that reward far too much for their risk factor and Emissaries are clearly broken in every way, so much so that pirate legend can be achieved easily within a weekend of sailing across what feels like a sea of people trying their best to avoid other people at all costs. World events should reward so much that they take absolute priority over everything else, to get players moving and to have the silly pirate game be about pirating for once. Mast damage should be disabled, because frankly it's just boring and too easy to win a fight after 1 well placed shot. I'd also like to see Galleon buffs, as of right now I don't see a single reason to play it over any other ship. It's a bigger target, takes longer to move around and doesn't provide any kind of benefit over a Brigantine.
