Hunters call are the only real ones on the seas. Stayed independent for so long and when they finally broke a deal with the sovereigns they made it more lucrative to sell to them directly. True chads.

Every company needs to work like that, sell to the sovereigns for conveniency but if you want more gold you need to sell directly to the company rep.

Hunters call update is still definitely required, even though there is a lot of theories on what could happen, I feel that Rare are more likely to just make a few more quality of life changes to the HC instead of a full blown revamp but hey, rare always continues to surprise. So who knows what could happen?

I think it was confirmed that in the next big Update Hunters Call will also get an update. I would love to see Level 75, a emissary flag and also some voyages specific to the HC.

I think the hunters call actually has the most potential for a new legend of the veil style voyage and it can make more parity with the hunters call and the other companies like a part where you get a meg spawn and would allow farming/grinding for the shrouded ghost and a shipwreck or something they just have easy potential and have merrick and hunters call meme bees give out modules and maybe the last part is a huge kraken spawn if a hydra or sea serpent as the mini world event but at least the kraken and Meg should be a module for the commendations and the meat.

extra trivia Merrick at the momment is a phantom, he never took the Ferry and left the sea of the dammed with Ramsey through the veil, its not confirmed he took the blessing. alderick speculates of merricks return, even the family doesnt believe it Serrik seems to be still grieving, Rare either forgot to bring her normal movement back or left it intentionally

Jack believing there’s a winged sea beast that set fire to a fleet weirdly supports the theory that Rare could be adding another sea monster. I think that came from a Cpt Falcore video

I looove the characters in Hunters! While I might be partial to some others, they by far win for the most consistency in how good their representatives all are. Another amazing video and I am so excited to listen to some Flameheart Fanboying.

Fantastic video! I've always wondered who was who in the Hunter's Call. I'm hoping we get some type of new update for the HC because I'm one of those people who actually enjoys fishing in SOT. I wear my Legendary Hunter of the Sea of Thieves title with pride, only took me almost four years to get but hey, I've got it! Fishing has never been so easy since they added the names above the fish...the mass majority of my fish were caught before. Sure would've been nice to have when I needed those dang forsaken devil fish, those are a bitch to distinguish between them and the sunny splashtail. Here's to a new update soon, maybe a new fish or two? An emissary for HC maybe? Fingers crossed!!

It helps a lot that the Fisher Family got individual dialoge to show their quirky personalities. It also helps that they play off each other and the seapost shopkeeper. Fell in love with everyone of these weirdos. The true outsiders. Until Merrick decided to intervene at The Battle of Golden Sands, the whole Flameheart / Graymarrow drama felt really far away. I still think that Merricks end marks a lowpoint in closing a character arc. I'm glad you took the time for each representetive.

I don't get it. What's the difference between the athena's blessing and dead people? Merrick, the pirate lord and all the 3 shot phantoms are all look the same to me.... and they are all dead but players who got the blessing aren't.... I am lost

I don't think the blessing kills you. The phantoms are just weak memories from the Sea of the Damned.

We’d be tired of digging up chest and now I’m tired of fishing. I’m still gonna do it because I’m a completionist but hell I’ll power through and succeed one day 2 more levels then level 50 and then it’s just commendations and milestones

I'm guessing this will be mentioned in the actual Merrick Character coverage, but there is a bit in "The Heart of Fire" novel where the crew of the stolen "Prideful Dawn" met Merrick and ended up finding and giving him a mysterious drum that summoned a great aquatic beast to attack them. No doubt this was the original Hungering One and might have been the same drum he used that inadvertently summoned the Hungering One. Specific chaptere are 8 & 10

Swearing vengeance against a creature that attacked you because you summoned it is a bit crazy. It's like swearing vengeance against a driver that hit you after you ran out into traffic. Your innocent intention to get to the other side doesn't make it the car's fault.
