Thanks! It would be great to see your reaction to "Once Aurora." It's produced in conjunction with NRK ( PBS equivalent), so copyright issues should be fine. There are a couple out there already. It's a bit intense and really shows the challenges an introverted Aurora went through to become AURORA, or at least the merger of the two. Tears, panic attacks, and the battle for creative freedom on Infections of a Different Kind. Won multiple awards. Norwegian with English subtitles. Here's the admission price, no reaction required.

I’ve had the privilege of seeing Aurora live 3 times and honestly at my age of 66 I’ve seen scores of top mainstream artists here in the UK but seriously none of them moved me emotionally like Aurora,her covers are amazing but her original catalog of songs written by her from the age of 9 are astonishing,it’s hard to put into words how special an artist she is each and every song she performs is like an incredible theatrical performance she literally becomes a vessel to express what she is seeing and takes you to that very place,for me she’s the essence of what the true art of music should be all about and as a live performer I’ve no hesitation in saying she’s the best I’ve ever seen and I’m truly blessed to have her words of poetry her words of medicine in my life.❤️GENIUS

Absolutely mind twisting moment… I´m not a religious person, but that felt like a deep spiritual experience, rather than a concert… mesmerizing… hypnotic… flawless (overall, as a musician I could pick up some minor details that prove that Aurora is only human, perhaps an improved version of us all) … a perfect imperfection… I can see why you connect with this amazing being… by the way you were so concerned about the noise on the background and the way that affected our perception of the moment that you´ve created (around that stellar performance) and provided to all of us… that shows that you care about your surroundings ( like our forest fary) and you’re not just a product of our selfish ego centered society… Allow yourself to build a soft universe, wear love in your words… Wish you all the best… Love from Portugal…

I agree. Part of her secret, imo at least? Is her incredible control....and honestly, perfectionism. She's very whimsical and free....but *_also_* hyper dedicated to perfection, knowing it's unattainable but striving for it anyway. Lots of behind the scenes studio stuff shows that side of her we don't normally see. Combine that with a genuinely empathic intuitive ability to inhabit an emotion, a hope, a yearning, an aching....and you get some pretty powerful art. :)

This concert is perfect on so many levels, starting with Aurora, of course, but also the musicians and singers backing her, the way it was shot, the lighting, the sound mixing, the venue, everything. It's just an amazing piece of art. And what's more, it gets even better the more you watch it. It's just awe-inspiring. If this one had you tearing up throughout, KEXP Iceland 2018 (about 30 minutes) will have you with a big grin throughout. It's a different kind of perfection. Aurora at her most energetic and fun self. An absolute joy from start to finish. I hope you find time to check it out soon, as it's really something special too. It was awesome getting four (!) Aurora videos from you today, including a full concert (and it's not even Tuesday yet here). That was a lot of fun watching with you, and the background noise wasn't a big deal at all, so don't worry about it. Thanks and take care! 🤟

It would be fun for you to react to the Haik Documentary and Concert in the forest . I think you would really enjoy that. Not sure if any of your Patrons have mentioned that one, but I think you'd really like it. Aurora should do another Concert in the forest. She looks so in her element there. As for this Concert, Through the eyes of a child was one of the first things I ever heard from Aurora. I spent the next Month watching everything I could find on KZfaq. She just really sucks you in. And, Of course, after watching the interviews you see what a quirky and authentic person she is, so it makes you want to hear more. I envy the way she can just be free and not care what others think of her. If only I was that smart at her age. I'm still not as smart as she is. The world needs more Warriors of love like Aurora. We have too many of the other kind. Glad you enjoyed the Concert. I watch it at least once a Month.

The reason everyone is so quiet is because this cathedral is built on top of King Olav II's burial site. It is the been the site of the crowning ceremonies of Norwegian royalty for hundreds of years. It's a very important cathedral in terms of Norwegian history, and I think it was expected that everyone be respectful by only applauding after the songs.
@lillm6874
@lillm6874 Жыл бұрын
That’s not the reason everyone is so quiet. Back in the days it wasn’t allowed to applaud in Norway’s churches, but during the 70s it became more accepted to clap in church, and today clapping is also done there. - Gradually it has softened. we have gained an expanded use of the churches where it fits in more👍☺️

Hello again, diear Ashlena ! So, first of all let me thank you from the bottom of my heart for reacting to the whole concert... and I think you havebn't regretted a single second, having had put all the effort into it, have you ? l Let me just say something anout this concert : It took place on the 2nd of November, 2017 at Nidarosdomen, which is a very special place in Norway. It is the oldest cathedral in Norway, built from arund 1070 to 1320, where every King and Queen of Norway has been crowned so far. It is, by the way, also the most northern cathedral in the entire world. Normally, there are no pop concerts, whatsoever, allowed to be played there, but for Aurorra, they made an exception, just to show her their appreciation for her artistry, so it was a REALLY great honour for her to play there. Very soon after this concert was announced, the 1200 tickets were sokl out in hours, so anyone who had the privilege to have been there, could call himself a VERY lucky person. Unfortunately, this concert remains unique until today, because she mever gave such a concert again so far. There is a concert from 2920,m live in Bergen, where she performs with the Bergen Symphony Orchestra... also very beautiful, but it doesn't reach the magic of this Nidarosdomen concert. I think we Aurora fans worldwide all hope she will do something like this again in the future... so let's cross fingers and hope. I am so curious to see what's coming next... I would suggest to react to the full documentary of HAIK from 2019, in which Aurora is taken on a journey full of surprises... and it ends with a concert in the forest, near where she lived and spent most of her childhood. You will also get some interesting insights into Aurora's private life. And you wll hear some hauntingly beautiful versions of some Aurora songs, as well. So please check out "Aurora - HAIK full documentary" (a bit more than an hour long, but definitely also worth doing a reaction to). Best wishes from Gernany : Gerry PS : And by the way... you've pronounced the name of the venue PERFECTLY ! 🙂

I may have to wait awhile as I am very particular in the venue (standing in crowds has never been enjoyable for me) - will travel anywhere if I have to. This concert she did in Germany 3 years ago I think is exactly what both of us would want in the ideal world. It is in a small church with just her and her guitarist. The simplicity of it, The acoustics are amazing and the initiate setting is just PERFECT. The only video available is a fan and you can hear her sing at times but not too obnoxious. You dont have to react, but I wanted you to see it because I think as like me you will dream of seeing her in a place like this some day kzfaq.info/get/bejne/l9aUY82E27rUeoU.html

Loved your reaction, knew I would! I know others have mentioned it, but please please do HAIK. Check out the documentary leading up to the concert in the woods. You get to know her even better and the concert is pure magic. Keep it up! Can't wait for more in your Aurora journey. ❤🎉😊

Hi Ash, this concert is a work of art of absolute quality, after every page I would give the last thing to be able to be there (paradoxically, I had no idea about Aurora at the time of this concert), but when I watch YT, I listen through the speakers, quite well with a subwoofer and every time you drank and put the bottle down, it felt like a blow to the head, your microphone was probably close to the place where you put the bottle, don't take it the wrong way, I just want to say that it spoils the viewing experience , for the future

>_< lol...sometimes it seems like you're being haunted by invisible silent ghosts that we can't see or hear. Just to put your mind at east.... I've noticed in a few Aurora videos you'll mention something about intruding sounds or in one video "dust being everywhere." But unless it's a loud dog bark, I honestly don't register any of it. I think you're noticing it far more than us. It's never bothered me at least. Thx for the great content!

Oh, I’m definitely my worst critic. I worry about every detail of my video. Hence why I have a insane editing process to take out even sound that I make with my mouth it’s actually quite ridiculous. It makes me feel better when you guys are telling me you don’t notice things, but I noticed everything.😂

Just finished watching the whole thing with you. That was fun! And I gotta throw a huge compliment your way in terms of how you do the whole reaction thing. At this point, I find reaction channels that pause a lot to be unwatchable. Watching someone destroy the flow of a song, to merely say _"wow, so, like...that was, i mean...her voice is like, so good"_ is almost soul crushing lol. It's like Yes....we know dude, sheesh. Did you have to share that? What on earth did that add? Is this a _reaction_ channel or a _banal commentary_ channel? Ok...getting off my soapbox lol. I'm 100% cool with comments while the song is still playing, or after it's over. But pausing every 10 seconds...just ruins the music, which is literally a time-based contextual art form. All that to say....I appreciate the fact you don't do that! You interject as it's playing which is cool...and go into detail when it's over which is awesome. You do it right. You win all the prizes! 🥳🏆

I also hate pausing on reaction video, so I try my best to not do it, and if I do a tent restart the whole song again😂

@@ashlenamusic I mean, I get doing it a bit, cuz copyright etc, and we are curious to hear your thoughts of course. I think the way u do it now is the perfect balance. It just drives me absolutely mad when ppl pause a song like every 10 seconds. How are they even able to appreciate the music at all? 😝

Another excellent reaction. (one suggestion - a lot of the time, we actually can't hear the background noise - but make a note of it for yourself so you can drop your mic level in the edit for that section, rather than alert us to it. It shouldn't affect the song playback. There will always be exceptions - but that will be true for a lot of minor environmental noise).

@@ashlenamusic Kite is a Swedish synth-pop band formed in 2008 by singer Nicklas Stenemo and keyboardist Christian Hutchinson Berg. Their music combines cinematic electronics with anthemic pop, creating a brooding and atmospheric sound. They gained recognition through their captivating live performances, including a 2019 show at the Royal Swedish Opera accompanied by a 16-piece orchestra.

Great reacton video thank you. Aurora is just very special. Two of the songs from this concert I recommend that you watch in other versions also (does not need to be as videos): Murdor Song 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 her performance at the Nobel Peace Price concert: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rM5ghrqFu928qKs.html&pp=ygUdYXVyb3JhIG11cmRlcnMgc29uZyA1IDQgMyAyIDE%3D Life on Mars: Her version on Norwegian television is one of my favorite covers of all time. David Bowie's song is pretty old so her choise of keybord just matches it perfectly with her amazing voice: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/obBgbJiElbPRnnU.html&pp=ygUTYXVyb3JhIGxpZmUgb24gbWFycw%3D%3D In case you have not watched it, my favorite cover of all time is a cover of Simon & Garfunkles song The Sound of Silence. It is Disturbed's live version on the Conan show: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eNFnhbmomK-clZs.html&pp=ygUaZGlzdHVyYmVkIHNvdW5kIG9mIHNpbGVuY2U%3D I really urge you to react to that one :)

How to get enough of this marvelous concert? No way, right?🙂 One day, hopefully you'll react to the song which made me know this heavenly singing Lady, a live song of another norwegian band, Wardruna, who featured her then (as an impressive white-glowing - mainly backing - vocalist and her goddesslike vocals). Wardruna and Aurora - Helvegen (Live): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fNSbh9h5tZ_VY6M.html English subtitles are avalaible, fortunately, because it's sung in Norwegian, and the last part in Old Norse I guess. Better know what they are singing about, right? No real request here, I'm sure it will happen someday, even a far one, it's worth. Anyway, thanks for caring so much about the sounds in your video, which one was really good by the way. You did a great reaction to this masterpiece, and this wonderful artist.🙂👍
