Steve Austin with the “all labor is skilled labor” take. Respect.
@katiem4539
@katiem4539 9 ай бұрын
Overused line that truly is wrong. Surgeons have a skill that is learned and natural in order to fix humans physical issues. Floor sweepers use a mop and broom, which everyone with a heartbeat can do. We can respect both people as humans while also fully recognizing the fact that surgeons have more skill while mcdonald’s cashier does not. We don’t have to lie to give human beings the kindness that they deserve

@Jasonhoods
@Jasonhoods 9 ай бұрын
@@katiem4539what job do you know of where a person pushes a broom for 8 hours per day? In an effort to make sure everyone knows doctors are more skilled on a post that never said they weren't you diminished all kinds of other labor into being nothing more than mop jobs. You don't think there are skill levels to fast food? I can guarantee there are thousands of 17 year old kids that would put you to shame during a dinner rush. That takes skill and practice but comparing it to surgery is only meant to undermine the hard work people do. Every job on this planet has good employees and bad ones but the idea is that hard work and improvement will allow you to live the American dream. Just because something can be mastered faster than another or provide a lesser service doesn't make it unskilled or invaluable. You're right Katie, you don't have to lie. You can just value your people without twisting the conversation into why the working class doesn't deserve kindness. You are a first class fool.

maybe you didnt realize that the "skilled" people that are surgeons are mostly motivated by a large sum of money or for saving a persons life, why tf would a mcdonalds cashier be motivated to do anything for 7.25? its a more a skill to work for almost nothing while the doctor drives away in his lambo-motivated rich fantasy, what a weak argument to call unmotivated people nonskillful

The thing I liked best about the Steve Austin one is the fact that Steve waited until the 'waitress' and 'valet' walked away before he started to confront the 'manager' about what he just did. Class act all around. He didn't want those two to witness what he was about to do. And the fact he was still a class act after finding out he got Punk'd was even better.

And most importantly responsible situational awareness. Like when you sense that someone you’re pranking is getting too heated or too upset to pull back and reveal it’s a prank and be respectful about it. That is the number one thing lacking with todays “pranksters”. They want no personal accountability and are too reckless.

Yeah, I remember never thinking he was racist, but everyone acted like he was... it's a shame that us manly white guys come off as racist if we're wearing boots, have a beard, wear camo, etc.... If I have my usual stubble, wearing my jordans, and colorful sleevelesst-shirt in the summer It's fine, and I don't get "racist white man" looks... but right now I have a short beard haven't shaved in a month, and If I wear my hat like the one stone cold got on, and a hunting shirt... black, latino, indian, asian, etc would look at me like I'm a racist bastard. Appearance definitely gives people assumptions... just like if a black man wore a nice suit, tie, haircut etc.... opposed to the next day with his jeans hanging low with his boxers showing, and a hoodie on with the hood on, no haircut/shave.... I wouldn't put my guard down with that dude next to me in the store, but with sharp dressed version, I'd probably admire his suit. That's why I hate when people act like appearance doesn't matter... how your diet is, how you dress, and how you take care of your skin, and hair matters... Don't judge a book by it's cover, fully*.... the cover is the first thing you see... EVERYONE judges the book by it's cover (how a person looks).... then they judge the character, some don't, and just make their minds up with the cover... I do both. I judge first by appearance (not skin color), outfit, maintenance, how they walk, how they're manners are ... then character... if they look shady, I'm hesitant to interact... but sometimes the shadiest, dirtiest looking people have the kindest hearts, and just struggling in life.... same with someone who's dressed proper, elegant, sophisticated... I wouldn't be so hesitant confronting them, or talking to them, but sometimes they could be the nastiest, evil people that just take care of theirselves properly... and could be the type to walk over you to get what they want. Don't judge a book by it's cover, judge it by the cover, the writing, the length, the material, the back cover, the smell, the weight, everything. Some people don't know their father, or brother, or husband was a serial killer. They thought they read the book 100 times to realize there's a secret story within the pages. Don't ever not judge someone, just do it right, people judge negatively too much, we need to judge positively until a reason to judge negatively is presented. Thank you for who ever actually read all of this lol.
