They had a song called Crossroad on their album E. 1999 Eternal, but after eazy died and they started losing more and more people close to them they went back to the studio and made Tha Crossroads as an update kinda thing, Wish Bone said " I miss my uncle Charles y'all, he shouldn't be gone, in front of his home, what they did to Boo was wrong" Krayzie Bone has a cousin named Boo who also passed away, I understand Im super late but when I seen the reaction I knew I had to say something 😂

They're from my hometown. I met Krayzie because he lived in a suburb near my wife and me, and I took a ride with Wish to see a house he was buying out in the country. The neighborhood they grew up in was basically as portrayed in the video. BJ is right, they were original and super talented - they had their sound. And yeah, I am usually not a big hip hop fan but this song always gives me goosebumps. It is melodically and lyrically genius, even better than the great Gangsters' Paradise.

Quick history lesson: probably the best remix ever made. In the original album, Crossroads was featured dedicated to Eazy E himself who passed away to AIDS. As Bone got ready to release it as a single, they found out they lost so many more friends and family back in Cleveland. Bone then went back into the studio to rerecord the song and Tha Crossroads was born. Layzie and Flesh are brothers, Wish being their cousin. Krayzie and Bizzy are childhood friends. Together they scrapped up money and hitched a Greyhound from Ohio to Ca to chase their dreams. They were homeless for months but managed to call Ruthless everyday. They finally got the opportunity to present their skills to Eazy E over the phone when Krayzie rapped. Eazy was very impressed but never called back. Bone then found out Eazy will be in Cleveland for a show so they hustled back on the Greyhound and got to go backstage to see Eazy on person where they were signed on the spot. Talk about perseverance!

This is the first hip hop music video I remember watching. It came out when I was in high school and it was so powerful. Also, very rare to see a Black angel depicted at all in those days in the media.

What era are you guys? Surprised you didn't even heard of this song. This is a childhood song. We witnessed the best rappers this world ever produced. 90s. Mumbling rappers today are not even close or never will. See you at the crossroad.

This song was for Eazy E after he passed Eazy was the one who discovered bone thugs and gave them their break by signing them to ruthless records. This was their way of giving love and appreciation to E. The angel of death that was Eazy E in the end he was the guy with the raiders hat on RIP Eazy E

You can actually seen the change in Bone Thugs through their songs. From songs like Thufgish Ruggish Bone, 1st of the Month, and Weed Song. To songs like Of I Could Teach the World, Crossroads, and Home

Intro: Bone Thugs-N-Harmony are from Cleveland, born and raised there till 1993, when the group moved to Los Angeles as teens. Soon after, they hooked up with Eazy-E, and signed to Ruthless Records They're known as both, a Midwest and West Coast group, as a result. There are 5 members: Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone, Bizzy Bone, Wish Bone, and Flesh Bone (also known as Flesh-N-Bone). The members consists of two brothers (Layzie, Flesh) a cousin (Wish), and their two best friends (Krayzie, Bizzy) since childhood, but all refer to each other as brothers. On some records, you'll hear all 5 members, and on others, you may only hear 2-4. The group is known for being pioneers/goats of fast rapping (along with Twista), and are credited for being the innovators behind melodic rap. They're also one of the biggest selling and longest touring Hip Hop groups of all-time. A lot of what we hear in Hip Hop today from our biggest stars is influenced by them. The group is still together today, touring, and have plans for collectively releasing a new album in the future. "Tha Crossroads" broke The Beatles 32 year old Billboard record (1996) and won a Grammy. The song was a remix of their original record, "Crossroads", which came out in 1995. "Crossroads" was a tribute to one of their friends (an additional member of Bone) who passed. After losing Eazy and several more loved ones, the group decided to remix the song as tribute, and it ended up becoming one of the biggest records of the 90s. Bone has so many classic hits though, so if you're gonna react to more, I'm sure the community will gladly point you in the right direction. Start off with their early records first. Thuggish Ruggish Bone (their breakthrough record) Foe Tha Love of Money (dirty version--if you're doing video) 1st of Tha Month (dirty version) East 1999 (dirty version---try to do dirty versions of their records whenever you can) The guys also have legendary records with both Biggie (Notorious Thugs) and Tupac (Thug Luv) Those are my suggestions to start off with.

I was in 8th grade living in NY and only later that I was like "oh shit.... they're from CLEVELAND!" Just cos in that era everyone was NYC or LA (I thought). Respect to the Land and to Bone Thugz. Also EZ E gave them their shot and wanted them to move to LA... hence the heavy respect to E who died before this. Nobody has ever come close to their style since. Love this reaction (as usual)

Drs Gangsta Lean was a classic too. There was a lot of healing songs for mourning at that time. We needed it and still do. Ghetto Theme by Mac Mall directed by Tupac is a classic Bay hit too. Much respect y’all! 🫡
