I grew up in the 90s, in LA, a brown dude not seeing what was going on around me. Back then we were arguing Biggie vs Tupac and just listening to the beats and rhymes, not the meaning in the words. Finding myself as an older person listening to these songs, it's clear that Tupac was something special. Said things we wouldn't know for another 2-3 decades.

Its still hard for folks to grasp how he did so much in just 6 years...... 4 studio albums, 7 studio films....still had enough finished material for another 7 Posthumous albums (some people estimate there are another 40-50 still unreleased tracks) and this was all in-between the court cases, prison, being shot, touring, music videos......Dude was just something else. I mean just look at 'All eyez on me"....it was recorded in two weeks and it went Diamond......Then you have 'The Don Killuminati: The 7 day Theory"...recorded in 3 days and it went 4 x Platinum..........I wanna see any current rapper drop a SOLID Double LP that was done in two weeks....shit, most these cats are like 1 album every 12-18 months...lol

His music style and song topics/themes changed alot after he went to deathrow. This song was released after his death, i think around 1998. That man had the most beautiful smile. I just traveled back in time to the day he got shot down(9-7-96) MTV News had this playing in the background as the talked about him getting shot down I was sitting on the floor at my Grandfathers house stairing at the tv crying. Pac wasnt even a generational artist he was 1 of a kind that never existed before and never will again his songs cut through the bullshit and attached to your sould to forever carry and his poetry was even heavier. He grew up with my boy about a hour an a half away from me Marin County California shout out to the Jungle! 2pac is a legend and legends don't die they just exist!

This song to me, is one of the best rap songs of all time, I was around 12 when this came out over here in the UK. I had it recorded off of the radio on cassette, I played it so much, I wore the tape out. Just imagine, if Tupac hadn't of been killed. He would of done songs with Eminem, Dre, 50 Cent, Akon, Nelly, Lil Wyne, Beyonce, Rihanna, Niki Minaj, Jay Z etc. Tupac recorded over 713 songs, acted in 7 movies between 1991 and 1996, sold 75 million records without internet, had 9 platinum albums, and when he died, he left 7 albums ready to be released. Just imagine how many more albums and songs he would of written, he would of out sold everybody.

This was the first song released after he died that was from his back catalog. That's why the video is slide show of his life. This song was never intended for release for some reason, maybe it was unfinished. You can tell the verses were recorded during Pac's first or second album in the early 90's. I believe they added the cords and the chorus later. It's a great song.

Pac was the realest of the real as anyone can be, & he was not only admired for it, but immensely hated for it, even unto death! Pac suffered so much, endlessly, for crap & shenanigans that set him up, yet I watched as he pulled himself up & out dealing with them all. It always hurt my heart to know of his gutter life surroundings he was brought into, & yet I still stand amazed & proud of how he was able to pull himself out of it, & teach others along the way how to handle it. He was a visionary, mentor, an enormous threat of an endless talent, but more importantly, he was my lil brother & Fun-Buddy friend! Pac was funny as heck! The guy could take anything & turn it into a hollering- tickle me- giggle- laughing session, or leave you with one of his most motivating & inspirational speeches that last a lifetime. OMG I can't believe you just listened to Changes! Im gona have ta Pull Ur Black Card for this! LOL I'ma keep this a BUCK. I am a White Girl from Small town Ohio & this is my favorite .Tupac 🎵 song! Now Think about What I Just Said! White Girl from Nowhere Ohio & this is my favorite Tupac Song! Favorite Cause I know all of um! That's why Tupac was so Dangerous! He was Talking about stuff White Teens in, Trailerparks & Poor Neighborhoods in Coal Mining Towns in West Virginia & Kentucky were Relating to! Might be a little different but we understood! Dad's in jail, Mom's sellin our foodstamps for Oxycotin! Same Problems, Poor in Bad School, Communities Riddled with drugs! He was reaching everybody, Even People with money & influence! He had a honest & powerful way of presenting the of struggle He knew who the real enemy was! I probably get laughed & flamed for what I say next, but I don't care cause it's true! Tupac was telling us 20 years ago in his way, what Tom MacDonald is trying to say in his way.
