Asian mud-dauber wasps building nests of mud.
The nests are formed as separated, individual cells, often constructed in a line in some crevices on the walls. Every nest is filled with paralyzed spiders, which serve as food for the larvae.
When the nest cell is finished, she searches plants and other areas for spider prey. When she has located a suitable spider she will paralyze it with a sting and take the immobilized prey to the nest cell. An egg is laid and the cell is finally capped with another load of mud.
