Tea egg meets Chinese sausage over garlic rice. Toss in something green for some color and fiber. Tomato & egg with grilled chicken sandwiched by a French baguette (like for banh mi). God we need BPMF on the east coast! - koaerie9

My bf and I are from nj area and first time flying to LA we got to visit!! It was during the summer so these foods weren’t out yet but the carrot matcha and watermelon corn drinks were delicious and unique :)

When I went there for the first time and I had the Spicy Popcorn Chicken with the spicy aioli and extra thai basil sauce. When I was eating I was craving some fries and an idea popped in my head.I thought what it we put the chicken ontop of a mound of tater tots, tossed in some white pepper/salt, topped with melted cheese, drizzled with both the spicy aioli and thai basil sauce and some fried, crush basil ontop as garnish of it *chef's kiss* maybe the next time i'll do a custom order lol

Sorry I’m Chinese but not Taiwanese, and when we are learning Pinyin in elementary school, we also know bopomofo... bopomofo detenele (not zhuyin but pinyin letters “bpmf dtnl”).

Two things I miss most when I leave Taiwan... wait, three things... 1) 抓餅 - the ones like parathas but they grab and push them on the pan until it's fluffy? Seriously, can't find a good one anywhere in the United States. 2) Blood sausages on a stick, coated in peanuts and dipped in sauce... 3) Tianjing chestnuts. wait, 4, 5, arrgh, once you get started you can't stop... 4) coffee flavored mung bean candy, only found it one year as a seasonal sales item 5) lemon ice tea popsicles, these were made by Lipton for the Taiwan market, it had a core of lemonade and an outer layer of iced tea.
