You both made the right choice. The Nimbus 25 is a great easy day shoe. It may be the most comfortable shoe I have ever run in. I am a heavy runner (over 220) and the More 4 crushes too much. I can feel my foot go all the way to the ground. That puts a lot of stress on my feet for a recovery shoe. The Nimbus is soft without crushing down so far. It is an easy choice for me.

I’ve had 4 pairs of nb fresh foam more x v4,s and all 4 pairs went back because of a design flaw…….the toe box….when you go forward there’s a crease that digs into your big toe left in one pair and right in 3 pairs….it’s the strip that goes around the toe box that causes the crease! So I bought the asics gel nimbus 25 and there perfect and I find them softer than the v4,s.

Funny, this just popped up on my feed as I am literally sitting with the More V4 and the Asics 25 right in front of me! I took each pair out today to test (I'm not a runner) and it was/is very close.. This review or comparison mirrors my exact feelings...True story, i was switching back and forth in my apartment and had to go downstairs to do something close by and without looking, I tried to remember which pair I had on last and yup, the More V4 on my left foot and the Asics on my right foot! I'm keeping both pair so I don't have to choose either! Great Battle of the Cush!

I just received the Nimbus 25 after being somewhat let down by the Invincible Run 3 (which is still good but with more issues and less of that fun bouncy ride IR2 has). I'm a big fan of More v4 and love max-cushioned shoes in general. I resisted the hype around the Nimbus 25 for a good while but finally relented and I'm glad I did. It really is a great max-cushioned shoes for easy, recovery, slow and long. And this is a shoe that I'd be willing to take on long runs, unlike the IR2, IR3, More v4, and SC Trainer due to their weights. The Nimbus 25 also weighs around the same but feels and rides lighter and is just so comfortable. I like all my max-cushioned shoes but Nimbus 25 is now my number one, followed by More v4, IR2, SC Trainer, and IR3 in that order. I don't put the Prime X Strung in this category although it is a super stack shoe. It's just not intended for the same purpose. ASICS nailed it with the Nimbus 25 and I guess the hype is justified. I haven't tried every shoe out there like these reviewers do, but I've tried many and have quite a collection and I can honestly say that the Nimbus 25 is the most comfortable shoe I've ever put on my feet.

Thank you so much for another great video. I've been trying out so many brands over the past few years, and I finally settled down with NB. I use their shoes for everything, from daily training to tempo runs to trail run. I even wear them when walking around the city, going shopping, and picking up my kids from school. I'm all about NB!

I’m so excited for this shoe, specifically because it falls into the max cush category now. The more v4 & SC trainer we’re both shoes I wanted, but for whatever reason new balance just doesn’t fit my foot shape, and I rarely have that issue with asics. So I’m jazzed to try a proper max shoe now.

Get over it! The nimbus is king/ queen.. I tried both shoes and the nimbus is best. I’m not proud of this , but I’m 275 lbs right now. The nimbus holds up and fits the best for me. Wider foot here but not wide enough to buy 2E or 4 E. The foam on the ASICS has rebound where needed. I’m 150 miles in and still the shoe is like new.

The worst negative point for Asics is that they have a street price in Europe of 200€. I recently acquired a pair of NB More v4 for 87€, it means that you should get a 55% discount on Asics for a comparable price! Way too overpriced in my humble opinion

I tried both shoes at a local store today. I’m mainly a rapid walker, and loved the Nimbus 24. IMO, the Nimbus 25 is better than both it’s predecessor and the NB More V4. It just fits my foot better, doesn’t rub my ankles, and the cushy feeling was the best I’ve felt. Not sure I like the outsole. Seems skimpy. That’s my only negative. Waiting for more reviews on the grip and durability.

Wow! This comparison is what I've been waiting for!! Thanks so much for sharing your expert opinions! Just like Meghan, I love, love, loooooooove max cushioned shoes. Actually, I have been going through a bitter and painful time since I broke my 5th metatarsal bone on my right foot last October. Now that I am on the 3rd month since the fracture repair surgery, my doc okayed me to resume running. (But I still need more balance and muscle gain to log 6-7 nonstop miles a day. Ugh...) I have been wearing NB More V4 even at home to give my surgical foot TLC. And now I just can't wait to run in Asics Gel Nimbus 25 which will be available Feb 1st. So.....Meghan, do you think I will be as happy as can be running in the Nimbus 25? (The only gripe I have with More V4 is its clunky feeling under my feet.)

NB FF More v4 has very soft cushion, but the split heel change from the More v3 produces instability for heel strikers. Reminds me of the On CloudMonster which is also very unstable. I am currently running in the Hoka Bondi 8 which is great for those of us neutral runners looking for forefoot protection and great cushioning that does not bottom out. NB More v4 is a fail for me, v3 was better but did not last. Waiting on my Nimbus-25s to arrive and compare….

I tried-on the Nimbus 25, and I was really impressed by its comfy and bouncy midsole; I just don’t like how it and the More V4 both feel like they bottom-out when compared to the Invincible Run 2, which I believe takes the cake in the max cushion category. I also think that the More V4 was a little too firm for a recovery-run shoe.

@@AKhan.28 the IR2 are my favorite max cushion shoes for long runs or days when you need that extra comfort on your feet.
