This week, Leroy received questions about a common saying heard along the coast, and what Leroy has observed over the years for how climate change is affecting the lobster industry. Also in this episode, Leroy brings on a special guest, Carla Guenther PhD, Chief Scientist here at Maine Center for Coastal Fisheries to further the discussion about effects of climate change in this area and the lobster industry.
Have a question about commercial fishing or the various fisheries we have along the coast of Maine? Ask Leroy! Call 224.58.LEROY (224.585.3769), leave your question on the voicemail, and he’ll answer your question in an upcoming episode of “Ask Leroy!”

The weather changes from the ocean flipping every 7 years . With good management practices the sea is not being polluted . The Japanese overfishing in the 1970s had a huge affect on fishing .

Although I think they are all good episodes, I found this one to be particularly informative. I had no idea that the "red sky at night" saying came from the Bible. Living here in OOB, I have quoted that to tourists for years; and the global warming answer was great. Thanks so much for educating this old "broad." 😜
