I feel her. I have RBF too. The problem is we drop ALL emotion out of our face when most people don’t. The key is to express slight emotion in your face when you’re around someone you like. Can’t do it all the time like most people do subconsciously. We just have to put the extra effort in to be aware of it around those people. It gets tiring answering the same “what’s wrong” question everyday from even friends if I relax my face completely for 2 seconds 😑.

Steve's advice is for him to do the smiling bit after they make eye contact not before, thus, she won't be laughing at him but rather give off a shy feeling which will interest the guy. (Most people don't continue laughing or continue to make eye contact if someone was laughing at you) As for going upto the guy and talking to him directly; Steve's whole premise is that the woman does not have to do anything, it's the guy's priority to come up and ask her. Yeah, if you are confident and you want to make things move along, you can go and ask him, or if you want to just have a casual or friendship relationship, sure! But if you want a long-term relationship and the guy is interested in you, HE WILL do whatever it takes to get you! Many men have said this themselves, that if he loves you he will say it; if he wants you, no matter how scared or nervous he is, he will come up to you himself. If a man is truly interested in you for a long-term relationship, or even a casual one, they will come up and ask you themselves no matter how shy they are.
