Great video and information. Hopefully this will help someone else avoid the problems. I have been hearing so many stories from friends and looking back at old jobs we had where overcharging and poor explanation was the norm. I'm glad you were able to help this couple!

TNX. It was perhaps the worst day to test something. The day before Thanksgiving! And my cold open was too stiff. I'll try ten more and see if I get any traction. Willow's favorite time of year is here. It snowed 4 inches yesterday. :-)

Great message. I'd only pay for materials delivered and stored properly on the site and then probably only if there were workers already at the site.

Good plan. The message I was trying to deliver is that you need to stand firm on the payment issues and communicate when YOU are uncomfortable. Then you come to some favorable compromise.

Help! Can you tell me if it is proper to install lally columns directly over control joints of convrete basement floor? 2nd question, is it necessary to bolt them into floor? (New construction) Thank you!
