It takes years of study. Plus cliffe had been doing this for (at this point) 20 years. Often, you find most questions repeat themselves, so you have responses ready. I understand where you are coming from, every Christian despite their denominational differences should always dutifully read their bible personally. However, this leniency in how we interpret the bible is what has led to much of the misunderstanding of the scriptures that has caused heresy and outright defiance of the scriptures(etc. fringe denominations popping up, churches becoming so liberal to the point they have become non-christian/universalist).
