Give Me An Answer with Stuart & Cliffe Knechtle

Жыл бұрын

Recorded - Fall 2003
The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This is an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

I was taught to be Christian since very little. My dad was a Christian and studied The Bible a lot. When was 9, I asked the same exact question of the first lady to my dad. That if I don't follow Jesus or Satan, where will I go? But here I am now, I just turned 37 2 days ago, a faithful follower of Jesus and Him and His teachings being the center of my life. There were years that I wasn't a good Christian like when I was 13 to 22. During these times, I was living in a not Christ-like life. I had made terrible sins and they're big sins and they literally destroyed me. I had anger issues, bipolar depression and anxiety disorder caused by all the trauma I had. One day, I had a tremendous loss. I lost my 2 month old baby boy when I was 22 & my world fell apart. Not only that I was living in poverty & other problems just kept on coming. So I started praying again to Jesus & remembered His love & mercy for me. I cried so hard & I came back to Him. The peace that I have right now after returning to Jesus is so worth it. I'm gonna protect it my whole life.

I became an atheist and acted according to my will and the consequences of my actions destroyed me. I prayed to Jesus so He would enlighten me & I would have the discipline to follow His teachings. The power of the Holy Spirit is so great that It changed me. My life right now is way way better than 15 years ago.

FACTS 😆. The lady was contradicting herself multiple times it's silly 😂. AMEN brothers and sisters in Christ our Lord and God bless Cliffe my dude was young and smooth 😎. I really appreciate their Christ centered and Scripturally accurate content. This has nothing and everything to do with the video but please listen if you want to otherwise leave it alone and ignore it. Hello my name is Justin and I'm a 22 year old Christian and Apologist but I'm also a college student. I'm not a closed minded Theist as I have nothing against Atheists or unbelievers as I speak to them often to understand their reasons for unbelief but we as Christians are convinced of God's Existence due to many real factors). I'm not trying to convert anyone or convince anyone to become Christians as that's The Holy Spirit's job to help people believe but only explain why I believe in Jesus Christ. There's actually evidence of God's Existence in Christianity. First of all there's proof that Jesus of Nazareth existed in history since the writings of Tacitus, Josephus Flavius, Pliny the younger and other historical documents prove that He was living two thousand years ago that even scholars both religious and Atheists agree with historically speaking but not that He's The Divine Son of God because obviously they don't. I'm going to give you historical and archeological evidence for God's Existence as The Scriptures have prophecies that predate the events recorded in them by several millennia including Matthew, Hosea and Zechariah which prophesy accurately of the people of Israel becoming a nation again after over 1900 years of being scattered around the nations since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. spoken of by Christ in Matthew 23:29-24:3 and returning to their homeland after The Holocaust with Jerusalem as their capital in 1948 exactly as Jesus The Christ said. The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. The people of Israel becoming a nation after The Holocaust in 1948 (ironically the melting point of gold as God compares Israel to gold that's tested in fire in Zechariah 13:8 and Jeremiah 16:15) exactly how Jesus The Christ said would happen since God us everything to come in The Scriptures and not just because people were working towards as Atheists claim which are impossible for any regular man to predict. Just before anyone says Christianity is a white man's religion made to oppress blacks during slavery you obviously aren't aware that the first Christians were Jews in The Middle East and that Christianity just like any religion can be used by evil and corrupt people to oppress others but you forget that the first Abolitionists/Civil Rights activists were Christians who sought to abolish slavery, racism, segregation, injustice and prejudice throughout American history. Jesus The Christ loves you enough not to give you what we all deserve which is God's Wrath by His Own Blood. Charles Darwin didn't originally come up with The Theory of Evolution over 200 years ago as it is mentioned in the writings of Ancient Greeks who believed in Demons that gave knowledge to philosophers. Evolution makes no sense when nothing has evolved after thousands of years of human history and supposedly the first creature came from primordial sludge several millions of years ago funny how they won't believe that God an Eternal Almighty Spirit Being created us from the Earth) which came from a supermassive expansion of matter at high temperature that inexplicably created everything in the known universe that supposedly came from nothing billions of years ago. How did the organs evolve before there were bones, skin, substance and how did any creatures see before eyes evolved? I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" and I'm not convinced of macro Evolutionary biology whereas I accept micro Evolution such as speciation and adaptation because there's no evidence of macro Evolution nor clear observable examples of it where living creatures evolve into other kinds of species plus the fact that fossils don't show evidence of evolution and genetic entropy rules out evolution. The question begs how did two genders evolve from a common ancestor with a perfectly hospitable and sustainable environment with breathable oxygen and resources to survive on inexplicably? Atheists have the burden of proof to explain how everything came to be and why our existence is possible without the Existence of God from an godless perspective just as Christians have to provide evidence of God's Existence and the validity of His Word. Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus. I don't mean this is any condescending manner but if you'd like to discuss The Scriptures with me or have me listen to your view on anything my instagram account is Savage Christian Kombatant.

My faith was falling apart and I was doing whatever I wanted and justifying my sinful behavior for years! Until something happened… I felt sick in my head and so so lost, I didn’t want to be here anymore. I went and cried out to God saying, “I surrender my life to you Father! I can’t do this without you. I give it all to you!” This might have been just weeks ago but I can tell you I have rededicated my life to God for Good and I am Never going back to living on my own terms. I’m living for God and I pray daily for his guidance through the Holy Spirit and proclaim Jesus is Lord and Savior everyday! God is so merciful. We don’t deserve it. By his Grace we are saved. I wouldn’t be here without him. No matter how much we turn our backs on him he remains the same, patiently waiting for us to seek him, live for him, and give all of our worries to him (Matthew 11:28) and live a better life and have it to the full (John 10:9-10) Thank you Jesus! All Glory to God Almighty. In the name of Jesus our King. Amen!

Regrettably, your reasoning is quite flawed. You seem to be suggesting that religious people have better outcomes than atheist. Agreed, it is better to believe in something than to believe in nothing, stated another way, a bad plan is better than no plan at all. Religiosity has no preeminence over Atheism. Just look at the evangelical Whites who support a miscreant like Donald Trump, where do they fit in your "fertilizer pit" analogy? Judge a Man or Woman by their deeds, not by their words. What I really like about this is the fact that he openly tells people go read the Bible for yourself to find out the truth. Don't believe what other people are telling you, don't take the words of any narrow-minded Christian, monk, Pope, priest, etc. I believe there are so many people who don't have a true conception of what the Bible is because they have listened to what others have said about it. My eyes personally opened up when I Read the Bible for myself versus letting someone else tell me what it says. Anybody who truly reads the Bible for themselves will have a complete different outlook on the Bible versus what someone tells you the Bible says. Especially when they remove context from the Bible and use it to fit what narrative they want.

I understand where you are coming from, every Christian despite their denominational differences should always dutifully read their bible personally. However, this leniency in how we interpret the bible is what has led to much of the misunderstanding of the scriptures that has caused heresy and outright defiance of the scriptures(etc. fringe denominations popping up, churches becoming so liberal to the point they have become non-christian/universalist). That is why it’s important to follow a Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church like our Catholic and Orthodox brothers and sisters.

Do not get so side tracked by "gifted" or "annointed" . It is knowledge. He has studied. You to can gain the same knowledge. He has the Bible, Holy Spirit. You have the same. Gain knowledge by education in those areas...atheism, apologetics, intelligent design, evolution and there you have it. A little Cliffe. The glory belongs to God. Cliffe is an apologist, he went through years of being indoctrinated to believe in a god and defend that god, without any evidence that this god exists. Do YOU have any evidence that this god exists? The honest answer is NO. So believing a god exists based on faith is not a good way to go about your life and what you believe to be true.
@milesmungo
@milesmungo Жыл бұрын
@@EddieSchultz62 Depends what you constitute as evidence. I could be skeptical and say that you don’t exist, you’re a chat Ai bot that someone created to boost a particular channel or algorithm. Do you have evidence that you exist? I would say that I do have good evidence that God exists, as much as I do that Australia exists, or other planets. Have you ever seen Neptune with your own eyes? Would you believe it without seeing it? I’m a generally skeptical person, but I realized that I need faith to live. I have faith that I’ll wake up tomorrow morning, faith that the floor in my apartment can support my weight and won’t collapse, faith that the food in my fridge isn’t poisonous. I’ve not tested those things, but I believe them. I have tested God and my faith in Him. We’re all indoctrinated in different ways. I was never taught flat earth theory, or alternatives to germ theory, anarchy as a suitable alternative to democracy, et al. Indoctrination doesn’t mean true or false.

@@milesmungo We're either indoctrinated "teach (a person or group) to accept a set of beliefs uncritically:" Or educated "having been educated:" I was indoctrinated at a young age to believe a god (the Christian god in particular) exists, and never to question his existence. I was also educated in school to learn about things in life that have evidence to support them. Now which do you think is the more rational way of thinking and accepting what is true or not? Bottom line is (and most Christians accept this) that there's no evidence that a god exists. If there is, then there's evidence for all the other gods that man has created throughout thousand of years. Is that reasonable to believe and accept?

@@EddieSchultz62 Not sure about you, but ideas of democracy, round earth, and germ theory were never criticized during my education. I would agree that we should examine claim and be critical, and not condemn people for questioning God. The Bible is full of people questioning God, His existence, His goodness, etc. I don’t know if most Christians would agree and accept that there is no evidence for the existence of any god(s). I can’t simply say because Super Mario doesn’t exists, therefore Italian plumbers don’t exist. What I mean is that there not being good evidence for Zeus doesn’t mean the same for Yahweh. I think you’re assuming that all Gods are man-made. Is it possible that one isn’t? That one is observed? This is kind of a separate issue but why make rationality the be all-end all. I’m certainly not against rationality, but it too has its dangers. Things like r*cism, and r*ape, and slavery can be and are often rationalized. I don’t think it’s reasonable to accept belief in the Christian God without any evidence at all, there we agree. I just believe that there IS good evidence for believe in Jesus and Yahweh.

Being taught is wonderful... being preached at is not. I found this KZfaq channel because I search for God in everything because he is the way, the truth and the light. If you find something that you weren't looking for would you know it? If you're not seeking God then what are you looking for and why? Only life can create life. This is a truth that can't be argued. This simple truth proves that man did not create God but rather God created life. Many of the worlds most intelligent people have spent their life attempting to disprove God's existence. They were either out smarted by the simplistic thoughts of shepherds (with almost no formal education) or they have to admit that life can only be created by God. I find it very interesting that the young man at the end of this video admittedly hasn't read the holy Bible that he claims to be wrong, fabricated and extreme. Keep up the great work. What came first...the chicken or the egg? This is a popular question that baffles the atheist because it's not a properly framed question. If I asked "which came first...the egg or a male and female chicken"? 100% of everyone would say that the male and female chicken obviously came first. Where did the male and female chicken come from? The average life span of a chicken is about 6 to 8 years if you don't eat it. This means that the male and female chicken would have to be created at the same time in order to reproduce into more chickens. There is zero time for both the male and female chicken to evolve into two equal half's of a reproductive system. Now apply this same reproductive fact to all living things... evolution doesn't fit and evolution can't create life either.

FACTS 😂.

Her questions were in right track. Religion should be based on facts, skepticism, and proofs. Not be based on blind faith or belief. Question your books and beliefs

He had so much patience for the last guy. His arguments had so many holes and when Cliffe would answer his question with a solid answer he would say okay forget that what about this. I mean just say that you lost the argument and find another question. He said well theres my truth and theres your truth, im sitting over here and youre standing over there. There cannot be two truths, the truth cannot contradict itself. Perception and truth are not the same thing, your perception is your bias to the truth which is reality. It frustrates me when you can clearly tell that people are arguing points that they have heard in passing and didnt actually come to the conclusion them self. I have a lot of respect for Cliffe.

I love this girl. Bless her - I bet she is preaching the Gospel today. Its great as it demonstrates the way in which our lives have become 'computerised' - meaning was the principle way of existance now it is all about function - just listen to her.

I believe in Jesus because he has spoken to me throughout my life from when I was young, I lived in rebellion, felt the crushing burden of sin, experienced His offer of forgiveness, He has spoken scripture to me in prayer, I’ve witnessed answers to my questions from his ministers in services without speaking them, ( God knows our hearts) Christ knew the thoughts and intentions of our hearts, we can deceive others deceive ourselves, but Gods Gospel offers Salvation to Us as a Free Gift

I am born in iraq and my parents where Christian but they didn’t force us anything and they never read the Bible for us. We just went Sunday to a Catholic Church and that’s all. I didn’t understand what’s in the Bible. But on my 23 when Jesus entered my heart from a prayer. All my life changed and I felt for the first time what freedom is and what the purpose of life is. There is nothing more worth then a relationship with Jesus and he I fall o struggle daily but also I feel his mercy each day.
